Assange: Russian Government Not the Source of WikiLeaks Emails. "Our Source is Not a State Party"
January 2, 2017
THE HILL - WikiLeaks
founder Julian Assange says there's an "obvious" reason the Obama
administration has focused on Russia's alleged role in Democratic hacks
leading up to Donald Trump's election.
“They’re
trying to delegitimize the Trump administration as it goes into the
White House,” Assange said during an interview with Fox News's Sean
Hannity airing Tuesday night, according to a transcript of excerpts from
the network.
“They are trying to say that President-elect Trump
is not a legitimate president," Assange said during the interview, which
was conducted at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, where he has been
staying.
"Our publications had wide uptake by the American
people. They’re all true,” Assange continued. “But that’s not the
allegation that’s being presented by the Obama White House.”
Assange reiterated the group's denial that Russia was the source of the Democratic documents released over the summer.
“Our source is not a state party, so the answer for our interactions is no,” he said.
In December, Assange told Hannity
that the documents the anti-secrecy group received looked “very much
like they’re from the Russians” but said his source was not them.
When
asked if he thought WikiLeaks influenced the 2016 election, Assange
pointed to private comments from members of the Democratic National
Committee and Hillary Clinton's campaign in documents published by the group.
“Did [WikiLeaks] change the outcome of the election? Who knows, it’s impossible to tell," Assange said.
"But
if it did, the accusation is that the true statements of Hillary
Clinton and her campaign manager, John Podesta, and the DNC head Debbie
Wasserman Schultz, their true statements is what changed the election.”
January 6, 2017
THE HILL - Toward the end of the campaign for president, WikiLeaks leaked many thousands of emails from the accounts of the Democratic National Committee and John Podesta, the chairman of the Clinton campaign.
Those emails presented a very unflattering picture of the inner workings of the Clinton campaign and the DNC.
The
Obama administration believes that the emails were originally hacked by
agents of the Russian government to damage the Clinton campaign and
enhance the chances of a Trump victory. President-elect Trump has been very skeptical of those claims, insisting that the administration and the intelligence community could be mistaken.
WikiLeaks
is a self-described “multi-national media organization” that
“specializes in the analysis and publication of large datasets of
censored or otherwise restricted official materials[.]”
Wikileaks
founder, Julian Assange, has been in self-imposed exile in the
Ecuadorian embassy in London for more than four years, because the UK
wants to extradite him to Sweden, where he is the subject of an
investigation into alleged sexual assault.
Recently, Mr. Assange gave an interview to Sean Hannity of Fox News; the interview has been airing this week.
Mr. Hannity asked whether Mr. Assange and WikiLeaks could assure the
American people “one thousand percent” that they “did not get [the
leaked emails] from Russia or anybody associated with Russia?”
Mr.
Assange gave what, on close examination, seems to be a very careful,
well-rehearsed, and lawyerly answer to the question: “We can say, we
have said repeatedly over the last two months, that our source is not
the Russian government and it is not [a] state party.”
The Hill reported
that, very soon after Assange gave this answer, President-elect Trump
tweeted: “[Assange] said Russians did not give him the info.”
Other Republicans were unconvinced. Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) called Assange a “sycophant for Russia [who]…steals data and compromises national security.” Sen. Tom Cotton
(R-Ark.) said that he has “a lot more faith in our intelligence
officers” who blame Russia for the hacks “than I do in people like
Julian Assange.”
There are two related, but
nevertheless distinct, questions that should be considered here. Were
the emails hacked by agents of the Russian government? Were the emails
hacked and then leaked for the purpose of helping Trump defeat Clinton
in the election?
In the course of his interview with Hannity, Assange asserts:
“[T]here is one person in the world — and I think it’s actually only
one — who knows exactly what is going on with our publications … And
that’s me.”
It
is impossible to believe that a man who has been confined to one small
building in London for the last four years could know who hacked into
servers in the US and stole thousands of emails that were then given to
WikiLeaks.
We can safely assume that Assange did not
obtain the leaked emails from someone who walked into the Ecuadorian
embassy and handed him a memory device. And, even if that incredible
event did occur, how could Assange know with “1000%” certainty where
that person had obtained the documents?
The Ecuadorian embassy in London does not span the globe.
The
CIA, on the other hand, does have agents all around the world.
Certainly some of them are operating in Russia. It is much more likely, I
submit, that the CIA would have accurate information regarding Russian
involvement than would Mr. Assange.
But Mr. Trump insists
that the Democratic Obama administration has a partisan interest in
convincing Americans that Russia aided his campaign, so that his victory
will be seen as illegitimate. One hopes the CIA is sufficiently
independent of political influence to be free of that kind of bias.
WikiLeaks Founder Reveals a 'Bombshell' About Russian Hacking, Kellyanne Conway Says
January 3, 2017
CNBC -Americans should listen to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange 's
denials that Russia was the source of hacked Democratic emails released
by his group over the summer, said Kellyanne Conway, a senior advisor
to President-elect Donald Trump .
"This was the information that [Assange] put forward. I think that's a bombshell," Conway told CNBC's "Squawk Box" on Tuesday, referring to excerpts from a transcript released by Fox News of Assange's interview with Sean Hannity.
Assange told Hannity that his source was not the Russian government, and "not a state party," adding President Barack Obama
is trying to "delegitimize the Trump administration" with accusations
that Russia engaged in hacking to help Trump beat Democrat Hillary Clinton .
In remarks heading into a New Year's Eve celebration at his Mar-a-Lago estate on Saturday night, Trump once again expressed skepticism that Russia was responsible for hacking Democrat emails.
Trump is well-informed by various intelligence
sources about such matters, said Conway, who stepped in late in the race
as the billionaire's campaign manager. She's since been named by Trump
as counselor to the president.
"[Trump] receives any number of different
intelligence pieces of information from a number of different sources,
including the ... presidential daily briefing," Conway said.
"He [also]
receives regular briefings from his security team, from outside sources,
and he ... has agreed to receive this top-level intelligence briefing
from the nation's top, top intelligence officials," she added.

U.S. Issued Sealed Indictment Against Julian Assange
STRATFOR EMAILS: US HAS ISSUED SEALED INDICTMENT AGAINST JULIAN ASSANGE
February 28, 2012
WIKILEAKS - Confidential emails obtained from the US private intelligence firm
Stratfor show that the United States Government has had a secret
indictment against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange for more than 12
months.
Fred Burton, Stratfor’s Vice-President for Counterterrorism and
Corporate Security, is a former Deputy Chief of the Department of
State’s (DoS) counterterrorism division for the Diplomatic Security
Service (DSS).
In early 2011, Burton revealed in internal Stratfor correspondence
that a secret Grand Jury had already issued a sealed indictment for
Assange: "Not for Pub — We have a sealed indictment on Assange. Pls
protect." (375123)
According to Burton: "Assange is going to make a nice bride in prison.
Screw the terrorist. He’ll be eating cat food forever." (1056988)
A few weeks earlier, following Julian Assange’s release from a London
jail, where he had been remanded as a result of a Swedish prosecutor’s
arrest warrant, Fred Burton told SkyNews: "extradition [to the US is]
more and more likely". (373862).
Emails from Fred Burton reveal that the US Government employs the
same counterterrorism strategy against Julian Assange and WikiLeaks as
against Al Qaeda: "Take down the money. Go after his infrastructure. The
tools we are using to nail and de-construct Wiki are the same tools
used to dismantle and track aQ [Al Qaeda]. Thank Cheney & 43 [former
US President George W. Bush]. Big Brother owns his liberal terrorist
arse." (1067796)
Ten days after the CIA reportedly assassinated Osama bin Laden,
Burton writes in an email sent to Stratfor’s "Secure" mailing list that
he "can get access to the materials seized from the OBL [Osama bin
Laden] safe house." (1660854)
Burton states: "Ferreting out [Julian Assange’s] confederates is also
key. Find out what other disgruntled rogues inside the tent or outside
[sic]. Pile on. Move him from country to country to face various charges
for the next 25 years. But, seize everything he and his family own, to
include every person linked to Wiki." (1056763)
Along with the FBI, the Diplomatic Security Service and the
Department of Defense (DoD) form a multi-agency US Government outfit
seeking to criminally indict and prosecute WikiLeaks and Julian Assange.
According to the Department of State, the DSS handles the investigation
of all leads that involve the DoS and assists the DoD in forensic
analysis of hard drives seized by the US Government in its ongoing
criminal investigation.
Burton also says he "would pursue [c]onspiracy and [p]olitical
[t]errorism charges and declassify the death of a source someone which
[he] could link to Wiki" (1074383). Burton’s strategy is to: "[b]ankrupt the arsehole first," Burton states, "ruin his life. Give him 7-12 yrs for conspiracy." (1057220)
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said: "For over a year now, the US
Attorney General Eric Holder has been conducting a "secret" Grand Jury
investigation into WikiLeaks. This neo-McCarthyist witch hunt against
WikiLeaks may be Mr Holder’s defining legacy. Any student of American
history knows that secret justice is no justice at all. Justice must be
seen to be done. Legitimate authority arises out of the informed consent
of the governed, not Eric Holder’s press secretary. Secret Grand Juries
with secret indictments are apparently Eric Holder’s preferred method
of dealing with publishers who hold his administration to account. Eric
Holder has betrayed the legacy of Madison and Jefferson. He should drop
the case or resign. Should he continue, however, the Obama
administration may not — Democrats and Republicans alike believe in the
right to tell the truth."
As early as June 2010, after the release of the Collateral Murder
video but prior to the Afghan War Diaries release, the emails talk of a
sealed indictment. In an email conversation between Shane Harris, a
National Security journalist, and Burton, Harris is surprised that
Assange was reporteded to be attending a Las Vegas Investigative
Reporters and Editors (IRE) conference. Burton remarks: "As a foreign
national, we could revoke [Julian Assange’s] travel status and deport.
Could also be taken into custody as a material witness. We COULD have a
sealed indictment and lock him up. Depends upon how far along the
military case is" (391504). Julian Assange cancelled his appearance at the IRE conference due to security concerns.
In another email to Stephen Feldhaus, Stratfor legal counsel, about
Ronald Kessler, a "pro-FBI journalist", Burton remarks: “I look forward
to Manning and Assange facing a bajillion-thousand counts [of
espionage]." (1035283)
In July 2010 alleged WikiLeaks source Bradley Manning was moved from
Camp Arifjan, Kuwait to the Quantico Brig in the Military District of
Washington at the request of Maj. Gen. Terry Wolff, then Commanding
General of the 1st Armored Division/US Division – Center in Iraq.
Wolff requested Manning’s move, the Pentagon reported, "due to a
potentially lengthy pre-trial confinement because of the complexity of
the charges and an ongoing investigation.” Three days before Manning
arrived at Quantico Brig, Burton wrote to George Friedman, Stratfor CEO
and founder:
“We probably asked the ASIS [Australian Secret Intelligence Service]
to monitor Wiki coms and email, after the soldier from Potomac was
nabbed. So, it’s reasonable to assume we probably already know who has
done it. The delay could be figuring out how to declassify and use the
Aussie intel on Wiki... The owner [Julian Assange] is a peacenik. He
needs his head dunked in a full toilet bowl at Gitmo.” (402168)

When we lose our economic security, we also lose our freedom and are forced to survive any way we can. The subliminal, one-world religion is self-preservation — the survival instinct. It's basic to human nature. The Bible shows a coming world leader who will exploit this self-preservation instinct and will bring this religion to its logical conclusion. And, if possible, even some of the very elect will be deceived by this appeal to their pocketbook and personal security.
