Chick-fil-A Supporters Turn Out in Droves for ‘Appreciation Day’; Lesbian Couple Misrepresents CEO's Statement and Labels Him a Supporter of 'Anti-gay Hate Groups', Thereby Spreading Hate Against Christians and Their Support of God's Definition of Marriage; the Corporate Media with the Government's Backing is Fanning the Flames for Christian Persecution (Gay Activists are Promoting Hate Against Christians - They Are Stirring Up Hate and Then Pointing the Finger)

"We are very grateful and humbled by the incredible turnout of loyal Chick-fil-A customers on August 1 at Chick-fil-A restaurants around the country," Chick-fil-A vice president Steve Robinson said in a statement. The privately held company declined to give specific sales figures but released a statement to the Los Angeles Times confirming that frenzied sales of chicken sandwiches and cross-cut waffle fries had made for a record-setting day. The Atlanta-based company, which started in 1946 and now has more than 1,615 locations nationwide, recorded annual sales of more than $4.1 billion last year. Customers often waited in long lines, many weathering the blistering summer sun, just to get in the front door. The company, which proudly abides by Bible-based principles and closes its doors to sales on Sundays, stressed in its statement that Chick-fil-A did not promote Wednesday's turnout. It also stressed that its employees abide by a service tradition to "treat every person with honor, dignity and respect -- regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender."

Robinson's statement alluded to rumors that another protest (including "kiss-ins") will be staged at Chick-fil-As on Friday by same-sex marriage supporters, which in turn has led to rumors of counter-counter-protests ... you get the idea. The company says Friday will just be another day, and another opportunity: "We understand from news reports that Friday may present yet another opportunity for us to serve with genuine hospitality, superior service and great food." The current uproar over Chick-fil-A dates to mid-July, when Cathy was quoted about his dedication to traditional family values. His comments reignited long-standing tensions between the company and the LGBT community, which called for a boycott.

"It is everything I thought it would be; being the Olympic champion, it definitely is an amazing feeling. I give all the glory to God. It's kind of a win win situation. The glory goes up to Him and the blessings fall down on me," said Gabby Douglas, after winning the 2012 Olympic All-Around Gold Medal in gymnastics on August 2, 2012.

After Gabby Douglas clinched her spot to compete in the All-Around finals, a reporter asked her on camera (broadcast during NBC's coverage) how she deals with the pressure and the nerves of being a gymnast on the biggest stage in the world. She said “I’ve been meditating on scriptures saying be confident in this. And, you know, the Bible really helps me so I was very confident.” Prior to the start of competition, Gabby sent out this message to her supporters: "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord will be with you wherever you go!"

Before winning the gold, Gabby tweeted: "I believe in God. He is the secret of my success. He gives people talent." After winning the gold, Gabby tweeted: "Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me" and "but seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."
"Openly giving thanks and credit to God could expose her to a hate campaign from the liberal cult. This could reduce the amount of money she makes endorsing products. I'm sure that occurred to her and she doesn't care, because pleasing God is a lot more valuable than anything that can come from Man, especially pagan men. So this nice girl is on the right track, and she has the love and respect of everyone whose opinion matters." [deprogramming services, CNS News, August 3, 2012]
When Gabby talks, her faith is hard to miss. It is interesting to note that some leading secular publications print what she has been saying in reference to God, praying, and praise. However, stories in USA Today, the Los Angeles Times and The New York Times usually do not include those remarks.
Oddly enough, in glancing through the sports pages, I saw many Gabby quotes about believing in yourself and working hard and all that stuff but, for some reason, none seemed to mention the fact that she gave all the glory to God after every victory she achieved. Maybe they were hoping no one would notice. Well, I noticed and I’m sure many others did as well and I take my hat off to this young lady for letting her light so shine when the attention of the world was on her. [The Mad Monarchist]

"She has already been dissed by a sports commentator. But I predict she will escape any high profile attacks because she's black and not a conservative politician. Tim Tebow got nailed right and left; he's a white man. The Thought Police have equated any criticism of a black American with racism. I highly recommend a book by Tammy Bruce entitled, 'The New Thought Police'. It is an inside look of how liberals have changed the narrative of American society. It is why, now, if you are a Christian, you supposedly hate homosexuals. If you criticize an inept President, you are a racist. Listen to some of the members of the Congressional Black Caucus: a week does not go by when one of them does not accuse over 40 million Americans of being racist." "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." - Galatians 6:7
You can't cram religion down someone's throat: only by the grace of God (and not by our own effort) do we receive faith; it is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8).
"No man can come to the Son except the Father draw him" - John 6:44
We are all sinners: some have been found while others remain lost. A lost sinner must be drawn by God to want to know Christ. God says to us, "Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee (Jeremiah 31:3)." Our Creator, knowing the hearts and minds of men, has the sovereign right to choose who He will draw near to Him and when. It's all according to His will and in His time.

When God draws someone near, Christians are the vessels that He uses to reveal the truth about His Word to lost sinners. When we are saved, we desire to proclaim the good news in every place, and we should be prepared to explain the hope we have through the faith of Christ with love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (the nine "fruit of the Holy Spirit," Galatians 5:22).
"And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." - Acts 2:21
A Christian should be a striking likeness of Christ in all ways and by all means so that all may say of him, "He has been with Jesus." A penitent believer has his sins already laid on Christ: he obeys the commandments of God and follows the footsteps of Christ, teaching repentance and forgiveness and helping the Lord save those who are still lost, for it brings the Lord glory when we help Him find His lost sheep.

Christ says that the first and greatest commandment is to love God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength. Jesus tells us that the second greatest commandment is to love others as we love ourselves and as He loves us. This includes everyone, whether they believe as we do or not. And Jesus says that we should pray for our enemies and do good to them rather than hate them. But we should take care not to unequally yoke ourselves to unbelievers (in marriage or otherwise), for this will lead to lives of misery.
"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." - Hebrews 13:8
We deserve no rewards, no merit, no crowns that we may boast, for it is all of God. Any faith we have more than another is because God dealt that measure to us, and not because of ourselves. Any work we do greater than any other is because God worked within us more than another. Rather than ask, “What rewards will we get,” we should ask, “What does God will for us to do.” And when we have done it, say, “We are unprofitable servants.” Abandon pride and, as the certain poor widow who threw in two mites, surrender all to our Lord. Everlasting life is all the reward we need.

Same-Sex Couple Invites Chick-fil-A CEO to Dinner

According to gay activists, the Marriage & Family Foundation and the National Institute of Marriage are "anti-gay hate groups."

August 2, 2012

ABC News - After hundreds of thousands of people ate dinner at his restaurants on Wednesday for Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day, one Georgia family, a same-sex couple and their two daughters, has invited Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy to have dinner at their house.

But the dinner invitation from Marci Alt and wife Marlysa, who live near Chick-fil-A’s Atlanta headquarters, is no paltry piece of paper, it is backed by an online petition sponsored by Change.org, an online organizing platforms for activists, and GLAAD, a gay rights advocacy group.

“I hope Mr. Cathy will join my family for dinner, where we can share a respectful dialogue about our faith, work and families here in Georgia,” Alt said in a statement. “It’s important that Mr. Cathy meet the people his company is donating millions to stand against.”

“I’ll even make chicken,” Alt added.

The invite comes on the heels of national outrage from the LGBT community after Cathy said that he was “guilty as charged” for supporting the “biblical definition of the family unit.”

Alt, along with gay rights advocates across the country, plan to protest those comments and the company’s anti-gay marriage stance with National Same-Sex Kiss Day on Friday. Nearly 12,000 people have said on Facebook that they will head to Chick-fil-A restaurants around the country and pucker up with their same-sex partners.

GLAAD President Herndon Graddick said the protest stems not from Cathy’s comments, but from the millions of dollars his company has poured into “anti-gay hate groups.”

In 2010, WinShape, the non-profit foundation created by Cathy and largely supported by Chick-fil-A, gave more than $1 million to the Marriage & Family Foundation and $37,000 to the National Institute of Marriage, both of which promote defining marriage as between one man and one woman.

“Without question, Dan Cathy has every right to voice his opinions and beliefs,” Graddick said in a statement. “But he should meet and get to know the people that he’s speaking out against — the people who are harmed by his company’s multi-million dollar donations to anti-gay hate groups working to hurt everyday LGBT Americans and break apart loving families.”

Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day Draws Crowds, Company Gratitude

August 1, 2012

LA Times - Hey, Chick-fil-A, are you feeling appreciated?

The fast-food chain was overrun on Wednesday by men, women and children wanting chicken sandwiches, cross-cut fries -- and to voice their support for the company that finds itself under fire for taking a position against same-sex marriage.

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee declared Wednesday to be Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day, and urged Americans to show their appreciation with their wallets.

Now, we can't tell you that we personally checked with each and every one of Chick-fil-A's 1,615 locations in 39 states and Washington, D.C.

But we can point out this growing photo collection on Huckabee's Facebook page of people in Illinois, Colorado, South Carolina and elsewhere mobbing Chick-fil-A outlets. Some lined up in the summer heat to get inside a store, while others waited in cars as far as the eye (or the camera) could see for a chance to place their orders at the drive-through window.

Interest in Chick-fil-A was just as intense in the online world. For much of the day, "Chick-fil-A" was a trending topic on Twitter and the most-searched-for term on Google.

A representative for Chick-fil-A declined to discuss sales figures, but issued the following statement to the Los Angeles Times:

"Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day was not created by Chick-fil-A. We appreciate all of our customers and are glad to serve them at any time. Our goal is simple: to provide great food, genuine hospitality and to have a positive influence on all who come into contact with Chick-fil-A."

Huckabee's declaration was intended to counter the fury recently directed at the company. The outcry began when Dan Cathy, president of the fast-food chain, spoke out publicly about how the company proudly abides by Bible-based principles and, as a result, opposes same-sex marriage.

"Guilty as charged," Cathy said, adding that Chick-fil-A supports "the biblical definition of the family unit."

This wasn't exactly news to the LGBT community, which has long criticized the fast-food chain for donations to campaigns and causes it sees as opposing gay rights. But Cathy's comments landed at a time when the country is more fractured than ever about the issue of same-sex marriage.

The flap seems unlikely to end soon. Fox News is reporting that supporters of same-sex marriage plan protests -- including "kiss-ins" -- at Chick-fil-A restaurants nationwide on Friday.

Chick-fil-A Supporters Turn Out in Droves for ‘Appreciation Day’

Government officials in the cities of Chicago, Boston and Philadelphia are abusing their power by trying to stop Chick-fil-A, a private American company, from opening new stores

August 1, 2012

The Lookout - After several weeks of protests and mayoral catcalls stemming from Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy's controversial public comments against same-sex marriage, supporters of the fast-food chain--and traditional marriage--turned out in droves on Wednesday, jamming many of Chick-fil-A's 1,600 U.S. stores. And protesters, for the most part, stayed away.

In Englewood, Colo., an overcapacity lunch crowd spilled into the Chick-fil-A parking lot while dozens queued up inside.

By 11 a.m., 14 cars filled the drive-thru lane. A half hour later, the back-up had tripled: At one point, 37 vehicles slowly pushed through the parking lot in serpentine fashion, transforming the lot into a makeshift drive-thru. Three employees clad in neon-green parking vests directed traffic and took orders.

"As far as Chick-fil-A is concerned, it's business as usual," Vicki Getz, a supervising employee, told Yahoo News, declining further comment.

At a table outside, Evelyn Walker, 26, and her husband, Tim, 27, ate spicy chicken sandwiches and waffle fries in support of former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee's "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day."

"Every company and owners have a right to say what they want to say," Tim Walker said. "Chick-fil-A has always been known to have a Christian basis, so I guess it's nice to see them stand up and show that--in more than just not being open on Sundays."

The couple, who live in nearby Littleton, said they don't eat fast food often, but supporting the chain was part and parcel to their faith.

"We believe that scripturally, in the Bible, the Lord states that marriage is between a man and a woman," Evelyn said. "And marriage between two women together, two men together is detestable to him."

More than 500,000 people RSVP'd to Huckabee's event on Facebook.

For those like John Mohler, 50, of Thornton, Colo., eating at Chick-fil-A on Wednesday was about defending free speech. Mohler said he doesn't share Cathy's belief--only his rights to air them.

"I'm not sure I agree with his position on gay marriage," said Mohler, who drove to Englewood from downtown Denver on his lunch break. "But I applaud the owner for speaking his mind, and that's why I'm here."

In Chicago, throngs of supporters flocked to the lone Chick-fil-A, where the line of customers snaked through the entrance and around the corner.

Linda Madden, 45, said that, though she and her co-workers regularly eat at Chick-fil-A, they "specifically chose Wednesday to drum up support." Steve Lolufs, 32, said he supports the company because "they always give back." Lolufs, originally from Atlanta, said that Chick-fil-A paid for him to attend high school, building a private school and offering scholarships.

Further up the line, Jessica Cather, 29, Dana Haskins, 42, and Sarah Touhy, 43, all stressed that though they support same-sex marriage, they also support the right to believe what anyone wants to believe.

"We support tolerance on both sides," Haskins said.

"Just because they don't support gay marriage, it doesn't make them a bad company," Touhy said.

Another patron solicited donations to buy lunch for Alderman Joe Moreno, who made headlines last month for opposing a Chick-fil-A in his ward.

Linda Smith, 54, didn't have time for the line. Instead, she gave someone else in line her money to spend to show her support. Smith said,

"It doesn't matter what the president of the company's views are, as long as they don't discriminate in hiring," Smith said.

While there were no protestors, some supporters couldn't get away from work long enough to buy their meals. Deborah Irvine, 28, and Nicte Leeg, 27, wanted to support the company, but the line was too long. Irvine said she'd likely donate to the corporation instead.

"It's about freedom of speech and people being entitled to their own opinion," Leeg said.

The Chick-fil-A restaurant on the Univ. of Southern Mississippi's Hattiesburg campus was packed with area families. But few, if any, students turned out to support or protest Chick-fil-A.

"It's a shame that the gay community that asks for tolerance is so intolerant of other opinions," Josh Walker said as he ate lunch. "It's nice to have a company that stands by its morals."

"Since the company isn't doing anything illegal, I think the whole thing has been blown out of proportion," a patron who wished to remain anonymous, said. "I like the food, and that's what's important."

Desiree Ortega, a customer in the drive-thru lane in Englewood, agreed.

"They have good food," she said. "They're making up for the idiotic things they said."

In Missouri City, Texas, hundreds of customers descended on the Chick-fil-A despite 100-degree heat. (A Chick-fil-A employee who did not want to be identified said the company wanted to convey honor, dignity, and respect for all customers and "to glorify God.")

At 10:15 a.m. at the Chick-fil-A in Chandler, Ariz., the parking lot was relatively empty. Dan Thomas, 72, said he wasn't aware it was Appreciation Day.

"Are they giving anything away?" Thomas asked.

By noon, though, there were more than 30 vehicles in the drive-thru line, and the restaurant was over capacity.

At the Chick-fil-A in the Glenbrook Square Mall in Fort Wayne, Ind., a line of about 300 people stretched past the relatively empty Panda Express and Taco Bell. There weren't any protestors in sight.

"The Bible says marriage is between one man and one woman," Beth, a patron who declined to give her last name, said. "But the debate is not about the Bible. It is about whether the CEO of a private business has the right to voice his own opinions. If you say no, that's pretty darn scary."

"Does it really matter what he believes in?" Beth's friend Shannon added.

There was a similar scene at the Chick-fil-A at the Jefferson Pointe Mall in Fort Wayne. Cars were backed up in several directions, waiting for the drive-through, while TV reporters and cameramen camped out nearby. One customer held a large handmade sign with the Pledge of Allegiance--highlighting the words "liberty" and "justice."

In Port Charlotte, Fla., more than 50 customers lined up outside to enter the region's only Chick-fil-A.

"Chick-fil-A is a Christian-based company that stands on biblical principles," Amy McNamara, a mother of two from nearby Punta Gorda, said. "In one article I read, it suggested they are preaching hate. I disagree. They are standing for what they believe and I stand with them."

"[Chick-fil-A has] a right to express their own opinion," Jennifer Hoyt, 37, who dined at a Chick-fil-A in St. Petersburg, Fla., said. "Don't we all? Besides, I come here for the sandwiches, not the politics."

Homosexuality and Same-Sex Marriages

August 1, 2012 is Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day; Opponents are Planning 'Kiss Mor Chiks' for August 3, When They Are Encouraging People of the Same Sex to Show Up at Chick-fil-A Restaurants Around the Country and Kiss Each Other

Chick-fil-A's CEO Dan Cathy told the Baptist Press that he was "guilty as charged" for supporting "the biblical definition of the family unit." In response to the backlash, conservative commentator Mike Huckabee organized a Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day, calling on people who support the company's Christian values to eat at Chick-fil-A next Wednesday. "Let's affirm a business that operates on Christian principles and whose executives are willing to take a stand for the Godly values we espouse by simply showing up and eating at Chick-Fil-A on Wednesday, August 1," Huckabee wrote on the Facebook page created for the event. So far nearly 300,000 people have signed on to attend the event. [Source]

Chick-fil-A Supporters Plan Appreciation Day

August 1, 2012

AP - Supporters of Chick-fil-A are planning to eat at restaurants in the chicken chain as the company continues to be criticized for an executive's comments about gay marriage.

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, a Baptist minister, declared Wednesday national "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day."

Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy told the Baptist Press last month that the Atlanta-based company was "guilty as charged" for backing "the biblical definition of a family." That unleashed a torrent of criticism from gay rights groups and others, who have called for boycotts and efforts to block the chain from opening new stores.

Opponents of the company's stance are planning "Kiss Mor Chiks" for Friday, when they are encouraging people of the same sex to show up at Chick-fil-A restaurants around the country and kiss each other.

Chick-fil-A Controversy Over Same-sex Marriage Draws Billy Graham Back into Spotlight

July 27, 2012

Washington Post - If all goes according to plan, Billy Graham will be eating chicken on Wednesday.
“As the son of a dairy farmer who milked many a cow, I plan to ‘Eat Mor Chikin’ and show my support by visiting Chick-fil-A,” he said in a statement from his Montreat, N.C., home.

After stepping away from speaking out when politics meets faith, letting his son Franklin take over that often contentious role, the 93-year-old Billy Graham is back in the spotlight, by signing on to a call from former Arkansas governor and Baptist minister Mike Huckabee for an Aug. 1 Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day. His vocal support for the “biblical definition of marriage” and opposition to same-sex marriage have put him there.

Graham is vowing to let his appetite do the talking to support Chick-fil-A’s founder Truett Cathy and his son and company president Dan Cathy, who, after publicly confirming beliefs that echo Graham’s, has been denounced and praised.

While big-city mayors Rahm Emanuel of Chicago and Thomas Menino of Boston pulled the welcome mat out from under the fast-food chain, Graham stood up for “my good friends” and “for their strong stand for the Christian faith.” He said,

“Each generation faces different issues and challenges, but our standard must always be measured by God's word. I appreciate the Cathy family's public support for God's definition of marriage.”

This follows Graham’s outspokenness on a primary ballot measure that in May added an amendment to the North Carolina’s constitution declaring marriage between one man and one woman the only valid domestic legal union. He strongly supported the measure in full-page newspaper ads across the state.

[...]

Franklin Graham’s statement on the Chick-fil-A controversy is notably more heated than his father’s:

“The restaurant chain has been, and continues to be, under a concerted attack from same-sex marriage advocates,” he said. “In the words of the bold, biblical prophet Daniel who refused to bow to the evil culture of his day: ‘The people who know their God will display strength and take action.’”

But while the tone may differ, father and son have found an issue that unites them in public and private. On same-sex marriage, Billy Graham is once again culture warrior, and he’s leaving no doubt where he stands.

No More Co-pays for Contraception

August 1, 2012

The Lookout - Paying for birth control? Not anymore. Health insurance companies are required to stop charging women co-pays for contraceptives such as birth control and condoms Wednesday under new rules in President Barack Obama's health care reform law. The stipulation also requires plans to cover cervical cancer checks, sterilization and a few other women's health care expenses without a co-pay.

Insurance plans that haven't changed significantly since 2010 are "grandfathered" out of this rule, however, and plans that renew Jan. 1 instead of Aug. 1 won't have to provide the care for free until then. Religiously affiliated institutions, such as Catholic colleges, won't have to provide the coverage until next summer because the Obama administration granted them an extra year to come into compliance. Many of these religious companies and nonprofits have sued, saying the rule violates their freedom of religion. Obama has argued that the insurance company, not the employer, will foot the bill for the contraceptives because providing them will eventually save the insurance companies money due to fewer unplanned pregnancies.

Last week, a judge sided with a Colorado-based air conditioning company, Hercules Industries, whose owners said providing contraception to their employees through their insurance plan would violate their religion. The judge said the company does not have to comply, but that his decision applies only to Hercules.

NWO Order Plans Exposed by Insider in 1969: One World Government Under the Devil Without Liberty or Justice for All (Excerpt)

By Dr. Lawrence Dunegan, Pittsburgh Pediatrician Who Died in January 2004
March 1988 (Recollections from a Lecture Given on March 20, 1969)

The following is a partial transcript from three tapes on the "New Order of Barbarians," referred to on the tapes simply as the "New World System." Tapes one and two were recorded in 1988 and are the recollections of Dr. Lawrence Dunegan regarding a lecture he attended on March 20, 1969 at a meeting of the Pittsburgh Pediatric Society.

CONTRACEPTION UNIVERSALLY AVAILABLE TO ALL

The first consideration here was contraception. Contraception would be very strongly encouraged, and it would be connected closely in people's minds with sex. They would automatically think contraception when they were thinking or preparing for sex, and contraception would be made universally available. Contraceptives would be displayed much more prominently in drug stores, right up with the cigarettes and chewing gum. Out in the open rather than hidden under the counter where people would have to ask for them and maybe be embarrassed. This kind of openness was a way of suggesting that contraceptives are just as much a part of life as any other items sold in the store. Contraceptives would be advertised and also dispensed in the schools in association with sex education!

SEX EDUCATION AS A TOOL OF WORLD GOVERNMENT

The sex education was to get kids interested early, making the connection between sex and the need for contraception early in their lives, even before they became very active. At this point I was recalling some of my teachers, particularly in high school, and found it totally unbelievable to think of them agreeing, much less participating, in the distribution of contraceptives to students. But that only reflected my lack of understanding of how these people operate. That was before the school-based clinic programs got started. Many cities in the United States by this time have already set up school-based clinics, which are primarily contraception, birth control, population control clinics.

The idea then is that the connection between sex and contraception introduced and reinforced in school would carry over into marriage. Indeed, if young people when they matured decided to get married, marriage itself would be diminished in importance. He indicated some recognition that most people probably would want to be married, but this certainly would not be any longer considered necessary for sexual activity.

TAX FUNDED ABORTION AS POPULATION CONTROL

No surprise then that the next item was abortion. And this, now back in 1969, four years before Roe vs. Wade, he said,

"Abortion will no longer be a crime."
Abortion will be accepted as normal and would be paid for by taxes (for people who could not pay for their own abortions). Contraceptives would be made available by tax money so that nobody would have to do without contraceptives. If school, sex programs would lead to more pregnancies in children, and that was really seen as no problem. Parents who think they are opposed to abortion on moral or religious grounds will change their minds when it is their own child who is pregnant. So this will help overcome opposition to abortion. Before long, only a few die-hards will still refuse to see abortion as acceptable, and they won't matter anymore.

ENCOURAGING HOMOSEXUALITY
"People will be given permission to be homosexual," that's the way it was stated.
They won't have to hide it. In addition, elderly people will be encouraged to continue to have active sex lives into the very old ages, just as long as they can. Everyone will be given permission to have sex, to enjoy however they want. Anything goes. This is the way it was put.

In addition, I remember thinking, "How arrogant for this individual, or whoever he represents, to feel that they can give or withhold permission for people to do things!" But that was the terminology that was used.

In this regard, clothing was mentioned. Clothing styles would be made more stimulating and provocative. Back in 1969 it was the time of the mini skirt, and those mini-skirts were very, very high and very revealing. He said,
"It is not just the amount of skin that is exposed that makes clothing sexually seductive, but other, more subtle things are often suggestive."
Things like movement, the cut of clothing, the kind of fabric, the positioning of accessories on the clothing.
"If a woman has an attractive body, why should she not show it?" was one of the statements.
There was no detail on what was meant by 'provocative clothing', but since that time, if you watched the change in clothing styles, blue jeans are cut in a way that they're more tight-fitting in the crotch. They form wrinkles. Wrinkles are essentially arrows. Lines which direct one's vision to certain anatomic areas.

This was around the time of the 'burn your bra' activity. He indicated that a lot of women should not go without a bra. They need a bra to be attractive, so instead of banning bras and burning them, bras would come back. But they would be thinner and softer allowing more natural movement. It was not specifically stated, but certainly, a very thin bra is much more revealing of the nipple and what else is underneath than the heavier bras that were in style up to that time.

TECHNOLOGY

Earlier he said that sex and reproduction would be separated. You would have sex without reproduction and then technology was reproduction without sex. This would be done in the laboratory. He indicated that already much, much research was underway about making babies in the laboratory. There was some elaboration on that, but I don't remember the details. How much of that technology has come to my attention since that time, I don't remember in a way that I can distinguish what was said from what I subsequently have learned as general medical information.

FAMILIES TO DIMINISH IN IMPORTANCE

Families would be limited in size. We already alluded to not being allowed more than two children. Divorce would be made easier and more prevalent. Most people who marry will marry more than once. More people will not marry. Unmarried people would stay in hotels and even live together. That would be very common — nobody would even ask questions about it. It would be widely accepted as no different from married people being together.

More women will work outside the home.
More men will be transferred to other cities and in their jobs, more men would travel. Therefore, it would be harder for families to stay together. This would tend to make the marriage relationship less stable and, therefore, tend to make people less willing to have babies. The extended families would be smaller, and more remote. Travel would be easier, less expensive, for a while, so that people who did have to travel would feel they could get back to their families, not that they were abruptly being made remote from their families.

But one of the net effects of easier divorce laws, combined with the promotion of travel and transferring families from one city to another, was to create instability in the families. If both husband and wife are working and one partner is transferred, the other one may not be easily transferred. Soon, either gives up his or her job and stays behind while the other leaves, or else gives up the job and risks not finding employment in the new location. Rather a diabolical approach to this whole thing!

SPORTS AS A TOOL OF SOCIAL CHANGE

Very important in sports was sports for girls. Athletics would be pushed for girls. This was intended to replace dolls. Baby dolls would still be around, a few of them, but you would not see the number and variety of dolls. Dolls would not be pushed because girls should not be thinking about babies and reproduction. Girls should be out on the athletic field just as the boys are. Girls and boys really don't need to be all that different. Tea sets were to go the way of dolls, and all these things that traditionally were thought of as feminine would be de-emphasised as girls got into more masculine pursuits.

Just one other thing I recall was that the sports pages would be full of the scores of girls teams just right along there with the boys teams. And that's recently begun to appear after 20 years in our local papers. The girls sports scores are right along with the boys sports scores.

So all of this is to change the role model of what young girls should look to be — while she's growing up she should look to be an athlete rather than to look forward to being a mother.

Note: In January 2012, a fact sheet released by the National Women's Law Center reported that less than two-thirds of African-American and Hispanic girls play sports, while more than three-quarters of Caucasian girls do.

California Campus Cop Who Pepper-sprayed Protesters Off Police Force

39-year old John Pike (shown in photo), the campus cop at UC Davis who pepper-sprayed peaceful student protesters, is a former U.S. Marine sergeant who has been honored for his police work on campus, but an alleged anti-gay slur by Pike also figured in a racial and sexual discrimination lawsuit a former police officer filed against the department, which ended in a $240,000 settlement in 2008. Pike was hired onto the University of California, Davis police force in 2001; his annual salary in 2010 was $110,243. UC Davis Police Chief Annette Spicuzza's salary in 2010 was $140,417.

Students are paying tuition (note that the state raised tuition by 32% in 2010, 8% in early 2011, and another 9.6% just eight months later, making it double what tuition was just seven years ago), which is funding the salaries of campus police who are attacking them rather than keeping them safe and secure. This is a college campus and there is no excuse for campus police to be attacking student protesters. If you can't protest on a college campus in America, where can you protest! This is a prime example of the police state that the U.S. has become. We will soon resemble communist China and North Korea.

This is why California is broke and why tuition for the state's higher education system is so high (taxpayers are on the hook for lifetime pensions, healthcare and survivor benefits as well):
  • UC Berkeley Head Coach Jeff Tedford's salary was $2,349,038 in 2010
  • UCLA Head Coach Intercol. Athletics Benjamin Clark Howland's salary was $2,076,535 in 2010
  • UCLA Professor-HCOMP Ronald W. Busuttil's salary was $1,984,858 in 2010
  • UC Berkeley Head Coach Michael J. Montgomery's salary was $1,859,133 in 2010
  • UCLA Clinical Professor-HCOMP Khalil M. Tabsh's salary was $1,783,005 in 2010
  • UC President Mark G. Yudof's salary was $560,594 in 2010
  • UC Berkeley Chancellor Robert J. Birgeneau's salary was $416,596 in 2010
  • UC Davis Chancellor Linda Katehi's salary was $382,249 in 2010
  • UC Davis Vice Chancellor for Admin. and Resource Mgmt John Meyer's salary was $213,121 in 2010
  • UC Davis Police Chief Annette Spicuzza'ssalary was $140,417 in 2010
  • UC Davis Police Lieutenant John Pike's salary was $110,243 in 2010
  • Legislative Assembly Speaker John Perez's salary was $107,329 in 2010
California is bankrupt and one of the reasons is its taxpayer-funded education system (at least 40 percent of the state's budget), where employee compensation is out of control.

California faced a $27 billion budget deficit in 2011. To balance the budget, the governor made spending cuts across the board, including secondary education (K through 12 schools). The California Department of Education notes that between 2010 and 2011, the statewide total cost of education equaled $46,278,595,991, which averaged $8,323 per student. Ten years before, in the 2000 to 2001 school year, the total annual expenditure was $36,825,458,699, which came to $6,360 per student. Gov. Jerry Brown has drafted a controversial $9 billion tax hike proposal, which voters will likely see on the November ballot. The Sacramento Bee highlights that schools worry about actually getting the measure to pass, which has led school districts to favor austerity measures and layoffs over budgeting with money that is not yet in their coffers. Although Gov. Brown encourages school districts to factor in the tax hike money, administrators instead ask for permission to "shorten the school year without penalty below the current 175-day minimum." [Source]

Higher education in California also faces budget cuts. The Associated Press notes that the University of California is planning to implement a 6 percent tuition increase in the fall, unless the state supplies $125 million for the 2012 to 2013 school year. In addition, there is talk of a "double digits" mid-year tuition hike, if the governor's ballot measure fails. [Source]

Tuition alone for the California State University systems is projected to be almost $22,000 per year in 2014, which will outstrip any resources the middle class has to put their kids through college. [Source]

As the University of California Board of Regents considered where to cut budgets and whether or not they should increase fees on students, they gave a hefty raise to the new San Diego campus chancellor, Pradeep Khosla. The Regents awarded Khosla a $411,084 base salary, a 4.8 percent increase compared to his predecessor and more than double Governor Jerry Brown's annual salary of $173,987. Increasing administrators' pay amid budget cuts has been a trend over the past decade. Tuition and fees at state schools soared 72 percent from 2001-2011. Yet, Andrew Hacker, co-author of Higher Education? How Colleges Are Wasting Our Money and Failing Our Kids – and What We can Do About It, says salaries of university presidents at public and private universities have roughly doubled since 1991. Gov. Jerry Brown released a "May Revision" of the state budget Monday, announcing the budget deficit had gone from $9 billion to $16 billion, meaning state universities will face steep cuts if an initiative on the November ballot to raise taxes in California isn't approved by voters. The UC Regents will vote in July on whether or not to increase tuition by 6 percent. The AP notes that would mean in-state undergraduates would pay $12,923, nearly double what students paid five years ago. [Source]

California Campus Cop Who Pepper-sprayed Protesters Off Police Force

August 1, 2012

Reuters - The campus police lieutenant captured on video pepper spraying seated Occupy Wall Street protesters last November at the University of California, Davis is no longer on the force, a university spokeswoman said on Wednesday.

The image of a cop pepper spraying seated protesters came to symbolize law enforcement aggression against the movement and sparked multiple investigations.

UC Davis police Lieutenant John Pike remained on the force until Tuesday, said university spokeswoman Claudia Morain. Citing the school's personnel privacy guidelines, she declined further comment.

The Sacramento Bee newspaper, which first reported Pike's departure from the force on Tuesday, said he had been paid while on leave, reporting his 2010 salary at $110,243.

Pike could not be immediately reached for comment Wednesday.

The incident propelled the sedate, generally apolitical UC Davis campus near Sacramento to the forefront of the anti-Wall Street movement near the height of its popularity. Three days after the incident, University Chancellor Linda Katehi apologized to a crowd of jeering students and faculty calling for her resignation. Campus police Chief Annette Spicuzza was soon placed on leave, and later resigned.

In April, a panel investigating the incident released a scathing report that criticized school and police officials. Several of the seated students who were pepper-sprayed have sued the school. The Yolo County District Attorney's office is still reviewing the matter to determine whether criminal charges should be filed, the Sacramento Bee reported.

The incident came days after a pre-dawn New York City Police Department raid of Zuccotti Park last November that cleared out the original Occupy Wall Street encampment.

Mitt Romney Says He Could Wage War on Iran Without Congress' Approval

Mitt Romney talks with Bob Schieffer on CBS's "Face the Nation", June 17, 2012 (Full Interview)

In Israel, Romney Declares Jerusalem to be Capital

July 29, 2012

AP - Standing on Israeli soil, U.S. presidential candidate Mitt Romney on Sunday declared Jerusalem to be the capital of the Jewish state and said the United States has "a solemn duty and a moral imperative" to block Iran from achieving nuclear weapons capability.
"Make no mistake, the ayatollahs in Iran are testing our moral defenses. They want to know who will object and who will look the other way," he said. "We will not look away nor will our country ever look away from our passion and commitment to Israel."
The presidential election hovered over the speech. The Old City formed a made-for-television backdrop behind Romney, while some of his campaign donors listened in the audience.

Romney's declaration that Jerusalem is Israel's capital was matter-of-fact and in keeping with claims made by Israeli governments for decades, even though the United States, like other nations, maintains its embassy in Tel Aviv.

He did not say if he would order the embassy moved if he wins the White House, but strongly suggested so in a CNN interview.
"My understanding is the policy of our nation has been a desire to move our embassy ultimately to the capital (Jerusalem)," he said, adding, "I would only want to do so and to select the timing in accordance with the government of Israel."
His remarks on the subject during his speech drew a standing ovation from his audience, which included Sheldon Adelson, the American businessman who has said he will donate millions to help elect Romney to the White House.

Romney's embrace of Israel was on display throughout the day when he met with Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu and other leaders. He also visited the Western Wall, Judaism's holiest site, where he was mobbed by worshippers. In addition, Romney met with Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad.

In his remarks, Romney steered clear of overt criticism of President Barack Obama, even though he said the threat of a nuclear-armed Iran "has only become worse" in the past five years.

In an unspoken rebuttal to Obama and other critics, Romney said, "It is sometimes said that those who are the most committed to stopping the Iranian regime from security nuclear weapons are reckless and provocative and inviting war.
"The opposite is true. We are the true peacemakers," he said.
The former Massachusetts governor also stepped back from a comment a senior aide made a short while before the speech.
"We recognize Israel's right to defend itself," he told the audience. Earlier, the aide, Dan Senor, previewed the speech for reporters, saying that "if Israel has to take action on its own, in order to stop Iran from developing the capability, the governor would respect that decision."
Israel is the second of three stops on an international trip for Romney in the weeks before he claims the Republican nomination at his party's national convention in Tampa, Fla.

He flew to the Middle East from Britain, where he caused a stir by questioning whether officials there were fully prepared for the Olympic Games. A stop in Poland will complete his trip.

Four years ago, then-U.S. Sen. Barack Obama also visited Israel as a candidate, part of a five-nation trip meant to establish his own foreign policy credentials.

In his speech, Romney said Syrian President Bashar Assad "desperately clings to power" in Damascus in the face of an attempted overthrow, but he did not call for his removal.

He noted that Egypt is now headed by an "Islamist president, chosen in a Democratic election. ... The international community must use its considerable influence to insure that the new government honors the peace agreement with Israel that was signed by the government of Anwar Sadat" more than three decades ago, he said.

A goal of Romney's overseas trip is to demonstrate his confidence on the world stage, but his stop in Israel also was designed to appeal to evangelical voters at home and to cut into Obama's support among Jewish voters and donors. A Gallup survey of Jewish voters released Friday showed Obama with a 68-25 edge over Romney.

Romney and other Republicans have said Obama is insufficiently supportive of Israel, noting statements the president has made about settlements and his handling of evident Iranian attempt to develop nuclear weapons.

Tehran is closer to developing nuclear weapons capability than before, Romney said. "Preventing that outcome must be our highest national security priority."

In a March speech before a pro-Israel lobby in Washington, Obama warned of "loose talk of war" that serves only to drive up oil prices. "Now is not the time to bluster," he said then. "Now is the time to let our increased pressure sink in and sustain the broad international coalition we have built."

It was unlikely that the day's events would settle the issue.

Obama's former press secretary, Robert Gibbs, told ABC's "This Week" that the administration has delayed Iran's nuclear program. The president has imposed U.S. penalties against Iran and worked to tougher strictures applied by other nations. There have been numerous published reports of a coordinated U.S.-Israeli cyberattack that caused damage to Iranian equipment vital to creating weapons-grade nuclear material.

Even so, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said before the speech that "all the sanctions and diplomacy so far have not set back the Iranian program by one iota."

Whatever the reality, the administration has taken steps in recent days to reassure Israel of its support.
Most notably, Obama approved an increase in assistance to strengthen a missile defense system that is designed to protect Israel from rocket attacks launched from the Gaza.

Senor's comments caused a stir in the hours leading to Romney's speech, a reminder of the controversy that Romney had created a few days earlier in London.

He later clarified his comments in a written statement, saying that the candidate "believes we should employ any and all measures to dissuade the Iranian regime from its nuclear course and it is his fervent hope that diplomatic and economic measures will do so. In the final analysis, of course, no option should be excluded."

Pentagon officials have spoken publicly about the difficulty of such a strike and American officials have expressed concern about the destabilizing effect such military action could have in the region, even if carried out successfully.

In Israel, Romney Talks Iran, Angers Palestinians

July 29, 2012

AFP - White House hopeful Mitt Romney held top-level talks in Israel over Iran's nuclear ambitions but quickly drew fire from the Palestinians for endorsing Jerusalem as the capital of the Jewish state.
"We must lead the effort to prevent Iran from building and possessing nuclear weapons capability," the Republican challenger said in a speech given on a rooftop overlooking Jerusalem's Old City in which he laid out key foreign policy issues facing Israel.
"We should employ any and all measures to dissuade the Iranian regime from its nuclear course," he said, expressing hope that diplomatic and economic measures would help achieve this aim, but adding that "in final analysis, of course, no option should be excluded."
"We recognise Israel's right to defend itself, and that it is right for America to stand with you," said Romney, the Republican challenger who will face off against President Barack Obama in November's US election.
Israel, which is widely believed to have the Middle East's only, albeit undeclared, nuclear arsenal, has warned that a military option cannot be ruled out to prevent Iran from developing atomic weapons capability. Tehran insists its nuclear programme is for peaceful purposes only.

According to Israeli public radio, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Romney it was important to have "a strong and credible military threat" because sanctions and diplomacy "so far have not set back the Iranian programme by one iota."

The White House hopeful, who arrived in Israel from Britain late Saturday on a one-day visit, stepped into the quagmire of Middle Eastern politics when during his policy speech he hailed Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
"It is a deeply moving experience to be in Jerusalem, the capital of Israel," he said, in an apparent endorsement of a position held by the Jewish state but never accepted by the international community.
Netanyahu thanked him for his remarks, later telling him: "I want to thank you for those very strong words of support and friendship for Israel and for Jerusalem that we heard today."

But the Palestinians were infuriated, saying his remarks were "harmful to American interests in our region."
"They they harm peace, security and stability," Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erakat told AFP.
"Even if this statement is within the US election campaign, it is unacceptable and we completely reject it. The US election campaign should never be at the expense of the Palestinians," he said.
"Romney is rewarding occupation, settlement and extremism in the region with such declarations."
Israel, which occupied the largely Arab eastern sector during the 1967 Six-Day War and later annexed it, claims both halves of the city to be its "eternal and undivided capital."

But the Palestinians want the eastern sector as capital of their promised state and fiercely oppose any Israeli attempt to extend sovereignty there.

Most of the international community, including the United States, does not formally recognise Jerusalem as Israel's capital due to the ongoing conflict, insisting the issue can only be resolved through final status negotiations.

Romney has consistently attacked what he says is Obama's weak and misguided Middle East policy, saying in January that the president "threw Israel under the bus," by defining the 1967 borders as a starting point for Israeli-Palestinian negotiations.

On Egypt, Romney said he would work to ensure Cairo's new Islamist President Mohamed Morsi would protect the 1979 peace treaty with Israel.
"With the Islamist president elected in Egypt we hope to use the considerable weight of the world's influence to ensure a continued commitment to the agreements of peace... with Israel."
In a show of support for Israel ahead of Romney's tour, Obama on Friday signed a law reinforcing US security and military cooperation with Israel as representatives of the pro-Israel lobby AIPAC stood beside him in the Oval Office.

Government and Corporate Media Use the Dubious Threat Posed by IEDs to Ramp Up Fear Ahead of Further Efforts to Demolish Posse Comitatus

In 2002, Northern Command, NORTHCOM, was formed within the Defense Department (previously known as The War Department). This group was formed to handle domestic situations involving terrorism with a force of about 2,000. As reported by The Washington Post and reprinted in The Dallas Morning News, President Bush authorized the strength of this group to increase to 20,000 by 20111. Part of their responsibility would be to confront domestic civil unrest. This responsibility belongs to the local authorities, police, state police, and perhaps the individual state National Guard as authorized by the respective governors. This new mission by federal troops is a clear violation of the Posse Cmitatus Act of 1878. Easy to hold President Bush solely responsible, however something sinister is at work here. With less than 60 days left in office why would President Bush issue such an authorization? He must know that on January 20th, 2009 when President Obama took office, he would not rescind this executive order. There is something suspicious going on here where our two party system and representative democracy is nothing but a façade. - PropagandaBuster, December 1, 2008

Phantom IEDs to Finish Off Posse Comitatus

July 30, 2012

Infowars.com - The remnants of Posse Comitatus stand between the Pentagon and the globalist dream of a police state in the United States. The 1878 law prohibits federal military personnel from working with state and local law enforcement. It has weathered sustained attacks following the September 11, 2001 attacks.

In 2007, Congress passed the John Warner National Defense Authorization Act. The legislation gave the president the authority to deploy federal troops to “restore public order and enforce the laws of the United States” during “a natural disaster, epidemic, or other serious public health emergency, terrorist attack or incident, or other condition.”

Following senator Patrick Leahy’s warning that changing the 1807 Insurrection Act “subverts solid, long-standing Posse Comitatus statutes that limit the military’s involvement in law enforcement, thereby making it easier for the president to declare martial law,” Congress repealed the changes and restored the Insurrection Act in its entirety, thus limiting presidential power during an emergency.

The latest effort to weaken Posse Comitatus unfolded earlier this month when Lt. Gen. Michael Barbero, head of the military’s Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization, told a partially closed House Committee on Homeland Security hearing that terrorists with IEDs – Improvised Explosive Devices – now threaten the United States.

“The domestic IED threat from both homegrown terrorists and global threat networks is real and presents a significant security challenge for the United States and our international partners,” Barbero warned.

“Since the successful attacks on September 11, 2001, externally based global threat networks have attempted numerous failed attacks such as the underwear bomb aboard Northwest Airlines fight 253 on Christmas day in 2009, the failed Times Square car bombing in 2010, and the ink cartridges packed with explosives aboard two separate cargo planes in 2010,” Barbero said. “These attempts clearly demonstrate the commitment of these threat networks to continue to employ IEDs against our homeland in traditional as well as new and creative ways. The use of advanced IED technology and sophisticated tactics, techniques, and procedures provide individuals and transnational networks with cheap and easily accessible means to achieve high visibility effect.”

Barbero’s examples are undermined by the questionable nature of the supposedly failed attacks. (See Kurt Haskell’s The Colossal Deceit Known As The Underwear Bomber Case and Paul Joseph Watson’s Times Square Bomber Linked With CIA-Controlled Terror Group.)

Despite a paucity of evidence that the United States does indeed face a threat by terrorists using IEDs, Republican Congressmen Peter King of New York, Daniel Lungren of California, and Michael McCaul of Texas, leaders of the House Committee on Homeland Security, sent out a clarion call.

“To me, it’s crazy that the guy who is the expert on IEDs overseas can’t coordinate with the Texas Rangers,” said McCaul, a former counterterrorism official with the Justice Department. “The military is unable to coordinate with state and local law enforcement, leaving a gaping hole in our security.”

“The threat is indeed real. IED attacks have been attempted multiple times in New York City already,” Deputy Police Commissioner Paul Browne told Politico.

The corporate media has done its part to magnify this unsubstantiated threat.

“Evidence of the threat has surfaced repeatedly,” the Houston Chronicle claims. “A car bomb was disarmed in New York City’s Times Square and explosives were detected in ink cartridges aboard two U.S.-bound commercial cargo planes in 2010. Improvised explosives in an airline passenger’s underwear nearly brought down a Detroit-bound airliner in 2009.”

In addition, according to the Christian Science Monitor, there is the possibility that IEDs may be used “in combination with a cyber attack.”

As Obama’s former chief of staff quipped, a good crisis should never go to waste, especially if it helps the government further militarize law enforcement and destroy Posse Comitatus.

“The accused shooter in the Aurora, Colo., movie theater massacre, James Holmes, allegedly deployed IEDs in his apartment, prompting federal law enforcement agencies to look into possible links to domestic or foreign-based terrorism,” the Chronicle reports.

Left unmentioned are the highly suspicious circumstances surrounding James Holmes and the irregularities of the “Batman” shooting, as the corporate media calls it.

The dubious threat posed by IEDs is only the latest effort by the government to ramp up the fear ahead of further efforts to demolish Posse Comitatus as well as dilute and diminish constitutional safeguards against unwarranted government power.

Israel Denies Report Obama Aide Shared Iran War Plan

Israel Denies Report Obama Aide Shared Iran War Plan

July 29, 2012

Reuters - A senior Israeli official denied on Sunday a newspaper report that President Barack Obama's national security adviser had briefed Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on a U.S. contingency plan to attack Iran should diplomacy fail to curb its nuclear program.

The Israeli liberal Haaretz daily on Sunday quoted an unnamed U.S. official as saying the adviser, Thomas Donilon, had described the plan over dinner with Netanyahu earlier this month.

"Nothing in the article is correct. Donilon did not meet the prime minister for dinner, he did not meet him one-on-one, nor did he present operational plans to attack Iran," the senior official, who declined to be named given the sensitivity of the issue, told Reuters.

Haaretz said the briefing was the most significant effort by high-level U.S. officials who had visited Israel in the past month, including Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, to try to dissuade Israel from launching its own military strike on Iran.

The report coincided with a visit to Israel by Obama's main rival in his reelection bid this November, Republican candidate Mitt Romney, who was due to meet the conservative Netanyahu on Sunday.

Haaretz said Donilon had told Netanyahu the Pentagon was planning for a possible decision to attack Iran's nuclear sites, and had shown him some of the plans.

The failure of talks between Iran and six world powers to secure a breakthrough in curbing what the West fears is a drive to develop nuclear weapons has raised international concerns that Israel, widely assumed to be the Middle East's only nuclear-armed state, may opt for a go-it-alone military strike.

Israel has warned the West it thinks it is only a matter of time before Iran's nuclear programme achieves a "zone of immunity" in which bombs will not be able to effectively strike uranium enrichment facilities buried deep underground.

Iran says its programme is solely for peaceful purposes.

On a visit to Jerusalem this month, Clinton said Israel and Washington were "on the same page" with respect to Iran, calling Iran's latest proposals to world power talks on the issue "non starters."

"Our own choice is clear, we will use all elements of American power to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon," Clinton said.

Bill Gates Wants to Spray Chemicals That Threaten the Food Supplies of Billions of People

Bill Gates Funds Scheme to Spray Artificial ‘Planet-cooling’ Sulfur Particles into Atmosphere

July 26, 2012

Natural News - Geo-engineers are finally coming out of the “chemtrail” closet, as reports are now emerging about deliberate plans in the works to dump untold tons of sulfate chemicals into the atmosphere for the purported purpose of fighting so-called “global warming.”

The U.K.’s Guardian and others are reporting that a multi-million dollar research fund, which just so happens to have been started and funded by Microsoft founder and vaccine enthusiast Bill Gates, is being used to fund the project. A large balloon hovering at 80,000 feet over Fort Sumner, New Mexico, will release the sulfates into the atmosphere within the next year.

The stated purpose for this massive release of toxic sulfate particles is that doing so will allegedly reflect sunlight back into the atmosphere, and thus cool the planet. But many environmental groups and advocates of common sense are decrying the idea as dangerous, and one that could result in permanent damage to ecosystems all across the globe.

“Impacts include the potential for further damage to the ozone layer, and disruption of rainfall, particularly in tropical and subtropical regions, potentially threatening the food supplies of billions of people,” said Pat Mooney, Executive Director of the ETC Group, a Canadian environmental protection group.

“It will do nothing to decrease levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere or halt ocean acidification. And solar geo-engineering is likely to increase the risk of climate-related international conflict, given that the modeling to date shows it poses greater risks to the global south.”

But the Gates-backed cohort is persistent in its efforts to geo-graffiti the world, as its scientists insist that governments are not doing enough to fight back against the supposed environment impacts of global warming. If governments refuse to implement high enough carbon taxes to eliminate greenhouse gases, in other words, then Gates and Co. believes it has no choice but to “save the planet” by polluting it with sulfate particles.

Spraying the skies with sulfate particles will destroy the planet faster than ‘global warming’ ever could

Sulfate particles are toxic, though, and constitute the very same type of ambient particulate matter (PM) that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) considers to be a noxious air pollutant. Deliberately spraying the skies with tiny particles composed of any material, for that matter, is hazardous both to respiratory health in humans and animals, as well as to water sources, soils, and other delicate environmental resources.

“Sulfate particles from acid rain can cause harm to the health of marine life in the rivers and lakes it contaminates, and can result in mortality,” says an online water pollution guide (http://www.water-pollution.org.uk/health.html). A University of Washington (UW) report also explains that sulfate particles “contribute to acid rain, cause lung irritation, and have been a main culprit in causing the haze that obscures a clear view of the Grand Canyon.”

Blocking the sun with reflective particles will also deprive humans of natural sunlight exposure, which is a primary source for naturally generating health-promoting vitamin D in the body. So once again, Bill Gates is at the helms of a project that seeks to control the climate in artificial ways using toxic chemicals, an endeavor that is sure to create all sorts of potentially irreversible problems for humanity and the planet.

Vaccines must not be doing the trick fast enough for Bill Gates and the others who want to reduce the world population to 500 million. We know from his own words (see the video above) that Bill Gates is not interested in saving lives but in reducing the world's population through vaccines and other means—he's also big on genetically modified foods and atmospheric geoengineering. If he really wanted to help the less developed countries, he'd be trying to save lives by spending the funds of his foundation (a tax-free haven for his vast wealth as well as the fortunes of other billionaires) for clean water and sanitation—but the power seekers really don't want to stop all the deaths caused by famine and lack of clean water. Rather, their goal is to reduce the world's population by 90%.

Comment by vansak,The Huffington Post (U.S. Heat Wave 2012: What's Behind The Hot Weather?)
July 5, 2012

Wow - just came across this article & embrace the interest & varying perspectives on the matter. Now I fully recognize what I'm about to state is going to expose me to intense scrutiny & ridicule - something I have learned to deal with over the past year; nonetheless all of us deserve to know the truth behind this absolute ludicrous intensity of heat, or in other words intensity of solar radiation & electromagnetic frequencies, which of course includes the visible light spectrum thus the equally ludicrous record shattering celestial illumination of Jupiter, Venus, the moon, & the sun.

Back to this heat wave – I can’t get into the details now but last May I had a “rude” introduction to multiple phenomena including those of chemtrails which subsequently led to the startling discovery these substances being doused in the skies globally consisted of crystalline substances, i.e. liquid crystals. Since I have outlined overwhelming scientific observations supporting these claims, in which these substances inherently align into waveguides upon the introduction of an electromagnetic field, provided inherently via the earth, constructing what can be thought of as a virtual “molecular fiber optic” network or grid in the sky. Why is this relevant? Because these waveguides polarize EMF’s, just as they do in HD screens & devices, literally channeling solar radiation, bypassing much of the protective elements within the lower atmosphere (nitrogen, oxygen, etc) & directing it to the surface of the earth.

I first went public with this in May of 2011. Not even considering the science & physics I’ve outlined, if my claims were to hold merit this grid of waveguides would have a subsequent effect on EMF’s resulting in heightened temperatures across the globe as well as increased illumination of celestial bodies – i.e. the “supermoon”.

As this article has outlined not only has this physical side-effect manifested, but it has done it in simply extraordinary proportions, generating the most unusual past 14 months of weather patterns, shattering heat records at an unparalleled rate. I came out with this last May, & so it also was the initial month of record shattering warmth which seems to only be escalating in magnitude.

I understand the inclination to dismiss this as why in the world would we intentionally be exposed to heightened levels of radiation? Well the answer will challenge all that we “think” we know about the nature of our reality. Please just take a moment to view some of what I have shared. In the end if you think it’s BS, that’s totally fine – just remember this info to call upon later. Take care, VanSak

The Sixth Seal, the Seven Trumpets, and the Return of Christ

The first four seals in the Book of Revelation describe death of 1/4 of the earth by war, scarcity, famine, social injustice, plagues, etc. At the opening of the fifth seal, the souls in heaven ask: "How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost Thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?" They are told: "Rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled."

Following the cosmic disturbances of the sixth seal (great earthquake, sun turns black, moon turns blood red, stars fall to earth, sky rolls up like a scroll, every mountain and island moves), there is silence in heaven about 1/2 hour before the seventh seal is opened.

The seventh seal in the Book of Revelation reveals itself as the seven trumpets, described as "the wrath of the Lamb." The first four trumpets will bring destruction upon the earth (1/3 of trees burned up, all green grass burned, 1/3 sea turns to blood, 1/3 sea creatures die, 1/3 ships destroyed, 1/3 waters poisoned, 1/3 sun and moon and stars darkened).

At the fifth trumpet, Satan will be released from the bottomless pit to rule over his one-world government and religion. 'Locusts' will torment men without the seal of God for five months. "And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them."

At the sixth trumpet, the 200 million man army of the one-world government, the anti-Christian beast, will kill 1/3 part of men. Shorty after this, at the sounding of the seventh trumpet, Jesus will come in the clouds of heaven to deliver up his people. As the nations prepare for the Battle of Armageddon, the final battle, Jesus will return with His army from heaven to destroy the kingdom of the beast.

God will pour out the seven vials of His wrath upon the earth; the last enemy to be destroyed will be death, Satan. And the Lord will create a new heaven and a new earth, and He will bring New Jerusalem down from heaven to earth, and He will reign with His people forever and ever.

Olympic Opening Ceremony Grapples with Weighty Issues

July 28, 2012

AFP – A celebration of free healthcare, the trade union struggle, the battle for women's rights and a fleeting lesbian kiss: the Olympics opening ceremony Friday did not shy away from weighty social issues.

Unsurprisingly, the show devised by Oscar-winning British director Danny Boyle drew accusations from the British political right that it had strayed into "leftie" issues.

Aidan Burley, a lawmaker from Prime Minister David Cameron's ruling Conservative party, tweeted:

"The most leftie opening ceremony I have ever seen -- more than Beijing, the capital of a communist state! Welfare tribute next?"

He followed that with:

"Thank God the athletes have arrived! Now we can move on from leftie multi-cultural crap."

Several people tweeted their support for his comments.

Alastair Campbell, former British Labour prime minister Tony Blair's communications chief, retorted on Twitter:

"Brilliant that we got a socialist to do the opening ceremony."

Cameron's Downing Street office distanced itself from Burley's comments, tweeting a message from the premier reading:

"The opening ceremony has been a great showcase for this country. It's more proof Britain can deliver."

Burley was removed from his job as aide to the transport minister last month after attending a Nazi-themed stag party in a French ski resort.

Ahead of the show, Boyle -- whose film "Slumdog Millionaire" won eight Oscars in 2009 -- denied he was pushing a political agenda.

"The sensibility of the show is very personal," he said.

"A group of us have created it, but we had no agenda other than... values that we feel are true.

"Not everybody will love that but people will be able to recognise as being honest and truthful really. I felt that very strongly. There is no b(expletive) in it, and there is no point-making either."

The show bringing the curtain up on the London Olympics began with sections showing idyllic rural Britain being overtaken by the Industrial Revolution, before moving on to a 10-minute sequence celebrating the state-run National Health Service (NHS).

Britain's first televised lesbian kiss -- from a 1993 episode of soap opera "Brookside" -- was shown in a fast-moving montage of flim and TV clips.

Later in the ceremony, dancers formed the shape of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament badge and other performers represented the struggle of trade union movements.
