The Brainwashing of a Nation in Four Basic Stages by Yuri Bezmenov

G. Edward Griffin Interview of Yuri Bezmenov, Video and Transcripts

Full interview in video below

“It takes from 15 to 20 years to demoralize a nation. Why that many years? Because this is the minimum number of years required to educate one generation of students in the country of your enemy, exposed to the ideology of the enemy. In other words, Marxist-Leninism ideology is being pumped into the soft heads of at least three generations of American students without being challenged or counter-balanced by the basic values of Americanism, American patriotism. The result? The result you can see. Most of the people who graduated in the sixties, dropouts or half-baked intellectuals are now occupying the positions of power in the government, civil service, business, mass media, educational system. You are stuck with them. You cannot get rid of them. They are contaminated. They are programmed to think and react to stimuli in a certain pattern. You cannot change their minds even if you expose them to authentic information. Even if you prove that white is white and black is black, you cannot change the basic perception and illogical behavior. In other words, in these people the process of demoralization is complete and irreversible. To rid society of these people, you need another 15 years to educate a new generation of patriotically-minded and common sense people who would be acting in favor and in the interests of the United States society.” – 1985 Interview of Yuri Bezmenov, Russian-Born, KGB-Trained Subverter Who Defected to the United States

THE FOUR STAGES OF IDEOLOGICAL SUBVERSION: WITH FORMER KGB OFFICER, YURI ALEXANDROVICH BEZMENOV INTERVIEWED BY G. EDWARD GRIFFIN

A Former KGB Officer Explains The Four Stages of Ideological Subversion:

1 - Demoralization
2 - Destabilization
3 - Crisis
4 - Normalization

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT (first aired in 1985)

G. Edward Griffin interviews Ex-KGB Soviet Defector Yuri Bezmenov on the four-step program of demoralization, destabilization, crisis, and normalization used by the KGB to subvert nations. This interview was conducted in 1985, but has only recently been re-highlighted. Yuri explains why people cannot recognize truth when presented to them and why America has difficulty resisting a Socialist agenda.

ED GRIFFIN (introduces Mr. Bezmenov):

Our conversation is with Mr. Yuri Alexandrovich Bezmenov.

Mr. Bezmenov was born in 1939 in a suburb of Moscow.  He was the son of a high-ranking Soviet army officer.

He was educated in the elite schools inside the Soviet Union and became an expert in Indian culture and Indian languages.

He had an outstanding career with Novosti [Press Agency (APN)], which was the -- and still is, I should say -- the press arm or the press agency of the Soviet Union. It turns out that this is also a front for the KGB.

He escaped to the West in 1970 after becoming totally disgusted with the Soviet system; and he did this at great risk to his life. He certainly is one of the world's outstanding experts on the subject of Soviet propaganda and disinformation and active measures.

ED GRIFFIN:

Well, you spoke before about "ideological subversion" and that's a phrase that I'm afraid some Americans don't understand. When the Soviets use the phrase "ideological subversion" what do they mean by it?

(Turning to Besmenov):

When the Soviets use the phrase "ideological subversion" what do they mean by it?

YURI ALEXANDROVICH BEZMENOV:

Ideological subversion is the process which is [a] legitimate, old word, and open. You can see it with your own eyes. All American mass media has to do is to "unplug bananas" from their ears, open up their eyes, and they can see it. There is no mystery. It has nothing to do with espionage.

I know espionage, intelligence gathering, looks more romantic. It sells more deodorants through the advertising, probably.  That's why your Hollywood producers are so crazy about James Bond type of thrillers.

But in reality, the main emphasis of the KGB is not in the area of intelligence at all.  According to my opinion, and opinion of many defectors of my caliber, only about 15% of time, money and manpower is spent on espionage as such.  The other 85% is a slow process which we call either "ideological subversion" or "active measures", активные меры in the language of the KGB, or "psychological warfare".

What it basically means is to change the perception of reality of every American to such an extent that despite the abundance of information, no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interests of defending themselves, their families, their community and their country.

It's a great brainwashing process which goes very slow, and is divided into four basic stages.

The first stage being "demoralization". It takes from 15 to 20 years to demoralize a nation. Why that many years? Because this is the minimum number of years required to educate one generation of students in the country of your enemy exposed to the ideology of [their] enemy.

In other words, Marxism-Leninism ideology is being pumped into the soft heads of at least three generations of American students without being challenged or counterbalanced by the basic values of  Americanism; American patriotism.

* * * * * * *

Most of the activity of that department [KGB] was to compile huge amount / volume of information on individuals who were instrumental in creating public opinion:  publishers, editors, journalists, actors, educationalists, professors of political science, members of parliament, representatives of business circles.

Most of these people were divided roughly into two groups: those who would tow the Soviet foreign policy, they would be promoted to positions of power through media and public manipulation; [and] those who refuse the Soviet influence in their own country would be character assassinated OR executed physically, come Revolution.

Same way as in a small town of Hua in South Vietnam: several thousands of Vietnamese were executed in one night when the city was captured by [the] Viet Cong for only two days. And American CIA could never figure out - how could [the communists] possibly know each individual, where he lives, where to get him; and [in order that they] would be arrested in one night basically in four hours before dawn, put on a van, driven out of the city limits, and shot.

The answer is very simple. Long before communists occupy the city, there was extensive network of informers - local Vietnamese citizens who knew absolutely everything about people who are instrumental in public opinion - including barbers and taxi drivers. Everyone who was sympathetic to United States was executed. Same thing was done under the guidance of the Soviet Embassy in Hanoi, and same thing I was doing in New Delhi. To my horror, I discovered that in the files were people who were doomed to execution. There were names of pro-Soviet Journalists with whom I was personally friendly.

ED GRIFFIN:

Pro-Soviets?

YURI BEZMENOV:

Yes!

They were idealistically minded Leftists who made several visits to U.S.S.R. and yet, the KGB decided that come Revolution, for drastic changes in political structure of India, they will have to go.

ED GRIFFIN:

Pro Soviet?

YURI BEZMENOV:

Yes, absolutely. They were idealistically minded leftist communists who had made several visits to the USSR; and yet the KGB decided, that come Revolution, or drastic changes in political structure of India - they will have to go.

ED GRIFFIN:

Why is that?

YURI BEZMENOV:

Because they know too much. Simply, because, you see the USEFUL IDIOTS; the leftists who are idealistically believing in the beauty of Soviet or Communist or Socialist or whatever system; when they get disillusioned, they become the worst enemies. That's why my KGB instructors specifically made the point, "never bother with leftists, forget about these political prostitutes - aim higher" - his was my instruction. Try to get into, uh, large circulation, established conservative media. Reach filthy rich movie makers, intellectuals in so-called academic circles. Cynical, ego-centric people who can look into your eyes with angelic expression and tell you a lie. These are the most recruitable people - people who lack moral principals, who are either too greedy or too, uh, suffer from self-importance, uh, they feel that they matter a lot. Uh, these are the people who KGB wanted very much to recruit.

ED GRIFFIN:

But to eliminate the others; to execute the others, don't they serve some purpose - wouldn't they be the one's to rely on?

YURI BEZMENOV:

No, they serve purpose only [up] to the stage of destabilization of a nation. For example, your leftists in [the] United States - all these professors and all these beautiful civil rights defenders. They are instrumental in the process of the subversion; only to destabilize a nation. When the job is completed, they are not needed anymore. They know too much.

Some of them, when they get disillusioned - when they see that Marxist-Leninist come to power - obviously they get offended; they think that THEY will come to power. That will never happen, of course; they will be lined up against the wall and shot.

But, they may turn into the most bitter enemies of Marxist-Leninists when they come to power.

And that's what happened in Nicaragua.  You remember most of these former Marxist-Leninists were either put to prison or one of them split and now he's working against Sandinistas.

It happened in Grenada when Maurice Bishop was - he was already a Marxist - he was executed by a new Marxist who was more Marxist than this Marxist.

Same happened in Afghanistan, when, uh, first there was Taraki; he was killed by Amin, then Amin was killed by Karmal with the help of KGB.

Same happened in Bangladesh when Mujibur Rahman - very pro-Soviet Leftist was assassinated by his own Marxist-Leninst military comrades.

It's the same pattern everywhere. The moment they serve their purpose, all the useful idiots are either executed entirely - all the idealistically minded Marxists - or exiled or put in prisons like in Cuba many former Marxists are in Cuba and in prison.

So, basically, America is stuck with demoralization.  And unless - even if you start right now, here, this minute, you start educating new generation of Americans - it will still take you 15 to 20 years to turn the tide of uh, ideological perception of reality, uh back to normalcy and patriotism.

* * * * * * *

YURI BEZMENOV:

The result? The result you can see.

Most of the people who graduated in the 60s, dropouts or half-baked intellectuals, are now occupying the positions of power: the government, civil service, business, mass media, educational system.

You are stuck with them.

You cannot get rid of them.  They are contaminated.  They are programmed to think and react to certain stimuli in a certain pattern [alluding to Pavlov].

You can not change their mind even if you expose them to authentic information. Even if you prove that white is white and black is black, you still can not change the basic perception and the logic of behavior.

In other words, [for] these people, the process of demoralization is complete and irreversible. To rid society of these people you need another 15 or 20 years to educate a new generation of patriotically-minded and common sense people who would be acting in favor and in the interests of United States society.

ED GRIFFIN:

And yet these people who have been programmed and as you say [are] in place and who are favorable to an opening with the Soviet concept [meaning NEW WORLD ORDER]- these are the very people who would be marked for extermination in this country?

YURI BEZMENOV:

Most of them, yes. Simply because the psychological shock, when they will see in [the] future what the beautiful society of equality and social justice means in practice. Obviously they will revolt. They will be very unhappy [and] frustrated people. And Marxist Leninist regime does not tolerate these people. Ah, they obviously they will join the [ranks] of dissenters, dissidents.

Ah, unlike in present United States, there will be no place for dissent in [a] future Marxist-Leninist America. Ah, here you can get popular, like ah, Daniel Ellsberg, or filthy rich, like Jane Fonda, for being a dissident, for criticizing your Pentagon. In [the] future these people will simply be [he makes a squishy noise] squashed like cockroaches [ for criticizing the government]. Nobody is going to pay them nothing for their beautiful, noble ideas of equality. This they don't understand. And, and ah, will be greatest shock for them, of course.

* * * * * * *

YURI BEZMENOV:

1. The demoralization process in the United States is basically completed already, for the last 25 years, actually; it's over-fulfilled because, ah, demoralization reaches such areas where previously not even Comrade Andropov [1911-1984] and all his experts would even dream of such tremendous success.

Most of it is done by Americans to Americans, thanks to lack of moral standards. As I mentioned before, ah, exposure to true information does not matter any more. A person who is demoralized is unable to assess true information. The facts tell nothing to him. Ah, even if I shower him with information, with authentic proof, with documents, with pictures. Even if I take him by force to the Soviet Union and show him the concentration camps...he will refuse to believe it.... until he is going to receive a kick in his fat bottom. When the military boot crashes, then he will understand. But not before that. That's the tragedy of the situation of demoralization.

2.  The next stage is destabilization.

This time, subverter does not care about your ideas and the patterns of your consumption. Whether you eat junk food and get fat and flabby doesn't matter any more. It only takes 2 to 5 years to destabilize a nation. This time what matters is essentials: economy, foreign relations, [and] defense systems. And you can see it quite clearly that in some... sensitive areas such as defense and [the] economy, the influence of Marxist-Leninist ideas in the United States is absolutely fantastic. I could never believe it 14 years ago when I landed in this part of the world that the process will go that fast.

3.  The next stage, of course is crisis.

It may take only up to six weeks to bring a country to the verge of crisis. You can see it in Central America, now.

4.  And, after crisis, with a violent change of power structure and economy, you have so-called a period of "normalization".  It may last indefinitely.

Normalization is a cynical expression borrowed from Soviet propaganda.  When the Soviet tanks moved into Czechoslovakia in 1968, Comrade Breznev said:  "Now, the situation in brotherly Czechoslovakia is normalized."

This is what will happen in [the] United States if you allow all the schmucks to bring the country to crisis. To promise people all kinds of goodies, and the paradise on Earth. Uh, to destabilize your economy, to eliminate the principal of free market competition, and to put a big brother government in Washington D.C. with benevolent dictators like [1984] Walter Mondale, who will promise lots of things - never mind whether the promises are fulfilled or not.

He [the dictator] will go to Moscow to kiss the bottoms of a new generation of Soviet assassins. Never mind.  He will create false illusions that the situation is under control.  The situation is NOT under control. [The] situation is disgustingly out of control.

Most of the American politicians, media and educational system trains another generation of people who think that they are living at the peace time.  False.

United States is in a state of war: undeclared total war against the basic principles and the foundations of this system.

And the initiator of this war is not Comrade Andropov of course - it's the system. However, ridiculous it may sound, [it is] the world Communist system or the world Communist conspiracy. Whether I scare some people or not, I don't give a hoot. If you're not scared by now, nothing can scare you.

You don't have to be paranoid about it. What actually happens now, that unlike myself, you have literally several years to live on unless United States wake up. The time bomb is ticking. With every second, the disaster is coming closer. Unlike myself, you will have nowhere to defect to, unless you want to live in Antarctica with penguins.

ED GRIFFIN:

Okay, so what do we do?  What is your recommendation to the American people?

YURI BEZMENOV:

Well, the immediate thing that comes to mind is, of course, there must be a very strong national effort to educate people in the spirit of REAL patriotism, number one. Number two, to explain [to] them the real danger of socialist, communist, welfare state, Big Brother government. If people fail to grasp the impending danger [of that development], nothing ever will help the United States. You may kiss goodbye your freedoms, including [freedom to] homosexuals, to the prison inmate. All this freedom will vanish in five seconds, including your precious lives.

The moment [that] at least part of [the] United States population is convinced that the danger is real, they have to FORCE their government - and I'm not talking about sending letters, signing petitions, and all this beautiful, noble activity - I'm talking about FORCING [the] United States government to stop aiding Communism....

In summary, the Active Measures to subvert the West are:
  • Demoralization
  • Destabilization
  • Crisis
  • Normalization
Think about many of the issues we face today. This KGB developed 4 part process has been applied to just about every institution and organization in this country to effect the enormous cultural changes in the last half century. It is at the heart of every action taken by the feminist movement in their efforts to lobby for what we now recognize as the active effort to break the Patriarchal nuclear family as the foundation for our society. The institution of marriage and basic gender roles have been demoralized, destabilized and in a state of crisis for an entire generation now…to the point to where it is now normalized.

As Yuri said, one only has to open their eyes to easily see that we have most assuredly been subverted.

Obama Commutes Manning’s Sentence

Pfc. Manning was sentenced in August 2013 to 35 years in prison for leaking 750,000 pages of classified documents to the anti-secrecy group WikiLeaks. A military judge convicted Manning in July 2013, sparing the former intelligence analyst from the most serious charge of aiding the enemy. The issue of Manning's gender identity repeatedly surfaced during the court-martial. An Army psychologist called by the defense said Manning appeared to be isolated and under intense pressure as a male soldier struggling with gender identity issues. Speaking during the sentencing phase of the court-martial, Manning said the decision to leak the documents came while "dealing with a lot of issues" -- a reference to the gender identity crisis. "I am Chelsea Manning." With those words, read from a statement on NBC's "Today" show, Bradley Manning immediately shifted public conversation away from the Army private's conviction on espionage charges to gender identity." As I transition into this next phase of my life, I want everyone to know the real me," Manning said in the statement. "I am Chelsea Manning. I am a female. Given the way that I feel, and have felt since childhood, I want to begin hormone therapy as soon as possible. I hope that you will support me in this transition." [CNN]

January 17, 2017

Associated Press - President Obama has commuted the 35-year prison sentence of Chelsea Manning, paving the way for the Army intelligence analyst turned high-profile leaker to be freed on May 17, the White House announced Tuesday.

Manning was on a list of 209 commutations and 64 pardons released Tuesday, though they may not be Obama’s final acts of clemency before he leaves office at midday on Jan. 20. Edward Snowden’s name was not on the list.

Manning was convicted after leaking U.S. military incident logs and diplomatic cables, among other secret government documents, to WikiLeaks, in 2010.

In his final scheduled briefing for reporters, White House press secretary Josh Earnest described Manning and Snowden in starkly different terms.

“Chelsea Manning, as a member of the United States armed forces, went through a legal proceeding administered by the United States military under the laws that govern the conduct of members of the United States military, and there was a hearing and a conviction and a sentence,” Earnest said. “It all went through that regular process. And that’s the way we determine guilt or innocence in this country, particularly with regard to the conduct of men and women in our armed forces. And that’s the way that our system works.”

But Snowden “should return to the United States and face the serious crimes with which he’s been charged,” Earnest said. “He will, of course, be afforded the kind of due process that’s available to every American citizen who’s going through the criminal justice process. But the crimes that he’s accused of committing are serious. And we believe that he should return to the United States and face them rather than seeking refuge in the arms of an adversary of the United States that has their own strategic interests in disseminating information in a harmful way.”

Earlier this week, WikiLeaks said on Twitter that its founder, Julian Assange, would agree to be extradited to the United States if Obama granted clemency to Manning. He has been living in Ecuador’s embassy in London since June 2012 to avoid extradition to Sweden, where he has been accused of sexual assault.

The Obama administration has accused the Russian government of using WikiLeaks to influence the 2016 election. The organization published emails hacked from the Democratic National Committee and from Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

Former NIST Employee Speaks Out, Says Building 7 Investigation Bogus, Government ‘Denied Evidence’

November 30, 2016

EUROPHYSICS NEWS - A former employee of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has stepped forward and criticized the government agency for ignoring the scientific errors found in its report on the collapse of World Trade Center Building 7 (WTC 7) during the September 11, 2001, attacks. Peter Ketcham, who spent almost fifteen years working at NIST, described how the flawed investigation methods were significantly different from the normal standards used by NIST, in a letter to the editor of the respected Europhysics News magazine. Ketcham’s letter was published in the November 2016 issue and comes just months after the magazine’s August 2016 report examining the Building 7 collapse in detail, which has been downloaded over 350,000 times according to the website. Peter Ketcham was a contributor to numerous scientific papers during his 14 years as a part of the High Performance Systems and Services Division and later the Mathematical and Computational Sciences Division. Ketcham wrote that he felt compelled to speak out about the NIST WTC 7 investigation after reading the report for the first time in August 2016 and comparing the results with the conventional criticism from other professionals. The NIST report on WTC 7 was published in August 2008, more than 6 years after the attacks, and it concludes that the building collapsed after structural failure due to fires caused by damage from debris when the Twin Towers collapsed earlier in the day.

The root problem with the WTC Building 7 report is that NIST could not perform a definitive study under common standards of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) because it lacked the physical evidence. Most of the structural steel was removed and melted down beginning within days after September 11, and some beams were stolen as reported by Telegraph. NIST only had access to about 150 smaller pieces of steel, called coupons, cut from the whole sections of structural steel beams.

Due to the lack of remaining evidence, NIST instead generated computer models of the building’s structure to test collapse theories using simulated fires to recreate the conditions prior to failure. The conclusions of the report have questioned for these reasons by thousands of physicists, engineers, and architects in the 15 years since the attacks, as documented by the group Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth (AE911).

The inconclusive methods used for the report are what led Ketcham to speak out after watching documentaries which criticized the report’s conclusions. He noted in his letter that he was “furious” with himself for not knowing and also at NIST for covering up the problems. “How could I have worked at NIST all those years and not have noticed this before,” Ketcham wrote.

“The NIST I knew was intellectually open, non-defensive, and willing to consider competing explanations. The more I investigated, the more apparent it became that NIST had reached a predetermined conclusion by ignoring, dismissing, and denying the evidence. Among the most egregious examples is the explanation for the collapse of WTC 7 as an elaborate sequence of unlikely events culminating in the almost symmetrical total collapse of a steel-frame building into its own footprint at free-fall acceleration,” Ketcham wrote.

The main pre-determined conclusion which Ketcham refers to is the theory created to explain why the 47-story building fell to the ground in about 12 seconds, which suggests the building suffered catastrophic failure in a short amount of time. NIST’s WTC 7 report concludes that fires led to the thermal expansion of long-span steel beams which supported the floors, causing one beam on the 13th floor to fall off of its seat. The report claims part of the 13th floor collapsed, triggering a chain reaction of floors failing around one specific vertical support column, which caused the building to fall in on itself.

NIST used computer modeling to generate the experimental environment from Building 7’s construction plans. However, professionals have criticized NIST because they have not released the models to the public for peer review. The models and methods have been questioned in many ways. However, the initial cause of the collapse receives the most scrutiny as researchers proved NIST did not accurately model the steel’s connection at the stated point of initial failure. NIST left out multiple smaller design elements shown in the construction plans which would have built a stronger connection in the computer model.
The resulting model simulation was released in a video by NIST. However, it shows the beam that failed is twisting in ways that are different from the physical properties of the steel’s connection. Researchers have shown that the NIST theory is significantly different from the possible sequences based on the construction plans and video evidence for multiple reasons.

NIST’s report on Building 7 has generated an increasing amount of controversy in academic circles and led to AE911 funding a study using computer models, which is still ongoing at the University of Alaska in Fairbanks. Researchers and activists have also been working to investigate the inconsistent methods.

U.S. Issued Sealed Indictment Against Julian Assange

STRATFOR EMAILS: US HAS ISSUED SEALED INDICTMENT AGAINST JULIAN ASSANGE

February 28, 2012

WIKILEAKS - Confidential emails obtained from the US private intelligence firm Stratfor show that the United States Government has had a secret indictment against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange for more than 12 months.

Fred Burton, Stratfor’s Vice-President for Counterterrorism and Corporate Security, is a former Deputy Chief of the Department of State’s (DoS) counterterrorism division for the Diplomatic Security Service (DSS).

In early 2011, Burton revealed in internal Stratfor correspondence that a secret Grand Jury had already issued a sealed indictment for Assange: "Not for Pub — We have a sealed indictment on Assange. Pls protect." (375123) According to Burton: "Assange is going to make a nice bride in prison. Screw the terrorist. He’ll be eating cat food forever." (1056988) A few weeks earlier, following Julian Assange’s release from a London jail, where he had been remanded as a result of a Swedish prosecutor’s arrest warrant, Fred Burton told SkyNews: "extradition [to the US is] more and more likely". (373862).

Emails from Fred Burton reveal that the US Government employs the same counterterrorism strategy against Julian Assange and WikiLeaks as against Al Qaeda: "Take down the money. Go after his infrastructure. The tools we are using to nail and de-construct Wiki are the same tools used to dismantle and track aQ [Al Qaeda]. Thank Cheney & 43 [former US President George W. Bush]. Big Brother owns his liberal terrorist arse." (1067796)

Ten days after the CIA reportedly assassinated Osama bin Laden, Burton writes in an email sent to Stratfor’s "Secure" mailing list that he "can get access to the materials seized from the OBL [Osama bin Laden] safe house." (1660854)

Burton states: "Ferreting out [Julian Assange’s] confederates is also key. Find out what other disgruntled rogues inside the tent or outside [sic]. Pile on. Move him from country to country to face various charges for the next 25 years. But, seize everything he and his family own, to include every person linked to Wiki." (1056763)

Along with the FBI, the Diplomatic Security Service and the Department of Defense (DoD) form a multi-agency US Government outfit seeking to criminally indict and prosecute WikiLeaks and Julian Assange. According to the Department of State, the DSS handles the investigation of all leads that involve the DoS and assists the DoD in forensic analysis of hard drives seized by the US Government in its ongoing criminal investigation.

Burton also says he "would pursue [c]onspiracy and [p]olitical [t]errorism charges and declassify the death of a source someone which [he] could link to Wiki" (1074383). Burton’s strategy is to: "[b]ankrupt the arsehole first," Burton states, "ruin his life. Give him 7-12 yrs for conspiracy." (1057220)

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said: "For over a year now, the US Attorney General Eric Holder has been conducting a "secret" Grand Jury investigation into WikiLeaks. This neo-McCarthyist witch hunt against WikiLeaks may be Mr Holder’s defining legacy. Any student of American history knows that secret justice is no justice at all. Justice must be seen to be done. Legitimate authority arises out of the informed consent of the governed, not Eric Holder’s press secretary. Secret Grand Juries with secret indictments are apparently Eric Holder’s preferred method of dealing with publishers who hold his administration to account. Eric Holder has betrayed the legacy of Madison and Jefferson. He should drop the case or resign. Should he continue, however, the Obama administration may not — Democrats and Republicans alike believe in the right to tell the truth."

As early as June 2010, after the release of the Collateral Murder video but prior to the Afghan War Diaries release, the emails talk of a sealed indictment. In an email conversation between Shane Harris, a National Security journalist, and Burton, Harris is surprised that Assange was reporteded to be attending a Las Vegas Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE) conference. Burton remarks: "As a foreign national, we could revoke [Julian Assange’s] travel status and deport. Could also be taken into custody as a material witness. We COULD have a sealed indictment and lock him up. Depends upon how far along the military case is" (391504). Julian Assange cancelled his appearance at the IRE conference due to security concerns.

In another email to Stephen Feldhaus, Stratfor legal counsel, about Ronald Kessler, a "pro-FBI journalist", Burton remarks: “I look forward to Manning and Assange facing a bajillion-thousand counts [of espionage]." (1035283)

In July 2010 alleged WikiLeaks source Bradley Manning was moved from Camp Arifjan, Kuwait to the Quantico Brig in the Military District of Washington at the request of Maj. Gen. Terry Wolff, then Commanding General of the 1st Armored Division/US Division – Center in Iraq.

Wolff requested Manning’s move, the Pentagon reported, "due to a potentially lengthy pre-trial confinement because of the complexity of the charges and an ongoing investigation.” Three days before Manning arrived at Quantico Brig, Burton wrote to George Friedman, Stratfor CEO and founder:

“We probably asked the ASIS [Australian Secret Intelligence Service] to monitor Wiki coms and email, after the soldier from Potomac was nabbed. So, it’s reasonable to assume we probably already know who has done it. The delay could be figuring out how to declassify and use the Aussie intel on Wiki... The owner [Julian Assange] is a peacenik. He needs his head dunked in a full toilet bowl at Gitmo.” (402168)

ASSANGE, BREITBART WARNED US! HILLARY'S PIZZAGATE CULT

Illuminati playing card from 1995 (Steve Jackson's Illuminati: The Game of Conspiracy was released in 1995, well before many of the shocking moments it predicts):

The following is from www.4chan.org.

Here is a brief timeline of events:

- Apr 16th: John Jones QC, Assange's U.N. Lawyer, dies jumping in front of a train.

- May 11th: Michael Ratner, WikiLeaks' chief counsel, dies of cancer.

- Jul 10th: Seth Rich, DNC staffer who supposedly leaked DNC documents to Wikileaks, is shot in the back and dies. Nothing is stolen from his body.

Former DHS Employee Says Staff Was Ordered to Destroy Records of Possible Jihadists and Were Prohibited from Entering Pertinent Information into the Federal Database

"True revolutionaries do not flaunt their radicalism, Alinsky taught. They cut their hair, put on suits and infiltrate the system from within. Alinsky viewed revolution as a slow, patient process. The trick was to penetrate existing institutions such as churches, unions and political parties.... Many leftists view Hillary as a sell-out because she claims to hold moderate views on some issues. However, Hillary is simply following Saul Alinsky’s counsel to do and say whatever it takes to gain power. Obama is also an Alinskyite.... Obama spent years teaching workshops on the Alinsky method. In 1985 he began a four-year stint as a community organizer in Chicago, working for an Alinskyite group called the Developing Communities Project.... Camouflage is key to Alinsky-style organizing. While trying to build coalitions of black churches in Chicago, Obama caught flak for not attending church himself. He became an instant churchgoer." [Richard Poe, November 27, 2007]

DHS ordered me to scrub records of Muslims with terror ties

This makes perfect sense.
Allow terrorists in. They kill someone or blow something up.
Then the government cracks down on personal liberties and takes more control over our lives.
Create problem. Provide solution.

February 5, 2016

Philip Haney, The Hill - Amid the chaos of the 2009 holiday travel season, jihadists planned to slaughter 290 innocent travelers on a Christmas Day flight from the Netherlands to Detroit, Michigan. Twenty-three-year old Nigerian Muslim Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab intended to detonate Northwest Airlines Flight 253, but the explosives in his underwear malfunctioned and brave passengers subdued him until he could be arrested. The graphic and traumatic defeat they planned for the United States failed, that time.

Following the attempted attack, President Obama threw the intelligence community under the bus for its failure to “connect the dots.” He said, “this was not a failure to collect intelligence, it was a failure to integrate and understand the intelligence that we already had.”

Most Americans were unaware of the enormous damage to morale at the Department of Homeland Security, where I worked, his condemnation caused. His words infuriated many of us because we knew his administration had been engaged in a bureaucratic effort to destroy the raw material—the actual intelligence—we had collected for years, and erase those dots. The dots constitute the intelligence needed to keep Americans safe, and the Obama administration was ordering they be wiped away.

After leaving my 15-year career at DHS, I can no longer be silent about the dangerous state of America’s counter-terror strategy, our leaders’ willingness to compromise the security of citizens for the ideological rigidity of political correctness—and, consequently, our vulnerability to devastating, mass-casualty attack.

Just before that Christmas Day attack, in early November 2009, I was ordered by my superiors at the Department of Homeland Security to delete or modify several hundred records of individuals tied to designated Islamist terror groups like Hamas from the important federal database, the Treasury Enforcement Communications System (TECS). These types of records are the basis for any ability to “connect dots.”

Every day, DHS Customs and Border Protection officers watch entering and exiting many individuals associated with known terrorist affiliations, then look for patterns. Enforcing a political scrubbing of records of Muslims greatly affected our ability to do that. Even worse, going forward, my colleagues and I were prohibited from entering pertinent information into the database.

A few weeks later, in my office at the Port of Atlanta, the television hummed with the inevitable Congressional hearings that follow any terrorist attack. While members of Congress grilled Obama administration officials, demanding why their subordinates were still failing to understand the intelligence they had gathered, I was being forced to delete and scrub the records. And I was well aware that, as a result, it was going to be vastly more difficult to “connect the dots” in the future—especially before an attack occurs.

Snowden is a Patriot to the Citizens, But an Enemy to the Government

Spying on US citizens is illegal in America according to the fourth amendment, which prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures and requires any warrant to be judicially sanctioned and supported by probable cause. Initially the NSA claimed they were eavesdropping only on foreign targets. In 2002, George W. Bush signed a presidential order, which allowed the NSA to monitor, without a warrant, the international (and sometimes domestic) phone calls and e-mail messages of hundreds of thousands of citizens and legal residents.

Real change, or rather the chance for real change, will come from those who are willing to lay down their lives to do what it takes to resist and fight against tyranny in America. Most of us here know what needs to be done, but we also know that if we say it clearly and honestly without using good encryption such as TOR with no-scripts activated, then we can expect our front door to be kicked in by the communist loving alphabet agency goons. - Seer, The Common Sense Show, May 26, 2014

Voltaire famously said, ‘ You know who your Masters are by whom you are not allowed to criticize.”

George Orwell once said, “The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it.”

Am I going to believe a proven chronic liar or Ed Snowden, who gave up his freedom and homeland to bring the truth of government tyranny to the people!

Snowden, an American hero, is trying to tell the Americans, who are sheep controlled by the criminals in DC, about the illegal actions the government is hammering us with every day. Thank you Snowden and all whistle blowers. If not for you DC would have an agent in every home before long. When a government is corrupted like ours, they are above the law. They ARE above the law because they are the law. I'm for anybody who can help get rid of DC criminals and help us win our country back. - David

The NSA has already forfeited the right to be believed on anything. They have consistently lied to the American people and described Snowden as a traitor for revealing their criminal activity to the enemy - us! Snowden should be given the Presidential Medal of Freedom and given a heroes welcome before the feds assassinate him for exposing their lies.- TrailR

"Now we know why Congress has had to wait for years for Obama and company to find the info that Congress needs to conduct inquiries into the governments improprieties or Snowden is lying on national television about something that can easily be confirmed. But, then again, this is the same NSA that stood up on national TV and denied any spying on American citizens, that same spying that was declared - illegal - by a court of law. So I guess the question is - who is the real liar ? Someone who has lost everything to try and bring out the truth (which has been verified) or a bunch of pinko commies that have been found guilty at every turn. - justyntoo, Yahoo!, May 29, 2014

"Why hasn't anyone been prosecuted for lying to Congress. James Clapper and that Admiral and general sure lied flat out. Yet they still have their passports and walk around as free men, still have access to their bank accounts. What about the violations to all the civil liberties of all AMERICANS. Have our people really forgotten the value of our 4th and 14th amendments? Have the people of America forgotten how mad Congress and the Senate got when they thought they were being spied on, yet they feel it's OK for the American people to be spied on. Why should it not be OK for them but be OK for us? Is my privacy less important than theirs? Hey, I'm not the one having affairs with my aids (gay or otherwise), buying drugs outside DC restaurants, taking bribes, or committing any other crimes. No wonder they got upset they were being spied on." - Commenter

"I remember reading in several news sources over the last many months that NSA personnel said they should have been able to predict his leaking of NSA activity due to the fact that he kept a copy of the Constitution (I'm not sure if all or just the Bill of Rights). They all said something to the effect of, "Looking back, we should have known someone with a Constitution document would be a high risk NSA employee". That says ALOT." - Doug

"If those in power cannot be trusted to tell the truth to us or protect our Constitutional rights, I am thankful for the courage Snowden showed to reveal these criminal wrongdoings." - Richard

"I believe the man who exposed the spying over the ones who are actively engaged in spying.Who do you trust?" - Victor

It is against the Constitution stupid!!! It is illegal search and seizure stupid!!! It's called privacy, and the government, our government, used the excuse of 9/11 as an excuse to question any U.S. citizen without due process and without a warrant in order to obtain information. How did this work before 9/11 when the terrorists were here? - D

The truth is that people who oppose this believe in democracy and are against the idea of a government giving itself power not granted to it by its people. And they understand knowledge is power. If you know every little secret about someone, you can make them do whatever you want. In this case, they can make anyone in the country do anything, even elected politicians and members of the military. Also, there is something called a law. Some people think the NSA and the government itself is not above the law. The Constitution means something you know - the part about search and seizure of personal property. It kinda sucks why the government just goes, "Screw that, we will violate that right on hundreds of millions of Americans." Are you the type of person that would have supported the Nazis because they were they government, and they were just trying to protect us, lol.- michaelg

Bust of Edward Snowden in Brooklyn's Fort Greene Park, New York

This photo provided by Aymann Ismail/ANIMALNewYork on Monday, April 6, 2015, shows an installation of a bust of the former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden in Brooklyn's Fort Greene Park, in New York. After several mysterious artists put a sculpted bust of Snowden on a New York City war memorial, parks officials have ordered the bust removed. Animal New York, a city news website, reported that the activists sneaked the 4-foot-tall, 100-pound bust of Snowden before dawn Monday.
The 4th Amendment of the Constitution: "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

I'm sure that the Government should, in particular, note the phrase "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects...shall not be violated."

Of course, our espionage community, along with factions of our police state, hate that amendment and claim that it interferes with their ability to quickly enforce other laws they more highly regard than the Constitution.
April 6, 2015

AP - Suddenly, in the middle of the New York night, Edward Snowden's face appeared — deep in a public park.

A 4-foot-high, 100-pound sculpted bust of the whistleblower now exiled in Russia was sneaked into Brooklyn's Fort Greene Park on Monday before dawn.

Animal New York, a city news website that first reported the incident, said the mysterious perpetrators were a small group of artists — admirers of the former contractor who had leaked classified information from the National Security Agency to the media.

The activists hoisted the bust to the top of a Revolutionary War memorial, adding his name to a column, according to Animal New York.

The website says the group allowed it to document installation of the statue on the condition that it not reveal the identities of the artists.

Snowden's artistic appearance was short-lived.

JPMorgan Chase Paid Witness $9 Billion to Keep Her from Talking

Alayne Fleischmann is the central witness in one of the biggest cases of white-collar crime in American history, possessing secrets that JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon late last year paid $9 billion to keep the public from hearing. Back in 2006, as a deal manager at the gigantic bank, Fleischmann first witnessed, then tried to stop, what she describes as "massive criminal securities fraud" in the bank's mortgage operations. Because of a confidentiality agreement, she's kept her mouth shut since then. "My closest family and friends don't know what I've been living with," she says. "Even my brother will only find out for the first time when he sees this interview." Six years after the crisis that cratered the global economy, it's not exactly news that the country's biggest banks stole on a grand scale. That's why the more important part of Fleischmann's story is in the pains Chase and the Justice Department took to silence her. She was blocked at every turn: by asleep-on-the-job regulators like the Securities and Exchange Commission, by a court system that allowed Chase to use its billions to bury her evidence, and, finally, by officials like outgoing Attorney General Eric Holder, the chief architect of the crazily elaborate government policy of surrender, secrecy and cover-up. "Every time I had a chance to talk, something always got in the way," Fleischmann says. This past year she watched as Holder's Justice Department struck a series of historic settlement deals with Chase, Citigroup and Bank of America. The root bargain in these deals was cash for secrecy. The banks paid big fines, without trials or even judges – only secret negotiations that typically ended with the public shown nothing but vague, quasi-official papers called "statements of facts," which were conveniently devoid of anything like actual facts. And now, with Holder about to leave office and his Justice Department reportedly wrapping up its final settlements, the state is effectively putting the finishing touches on what will amount to a sweeping, industry-wide effort to bury the facts of a whole generation of Wall Street corruption.

Rolling Stone: The $9 Billion Witness: Meet JPMorgan Chase’s Worst Nightmare

November 10, 2014

Rolling Stone - Author and journalist Matt Taibbi has returned to writing for Rolling Stone magazine with an article profiling JPMorgan Chase whistleblower Alayne Fleischmann. Taibbi is most acclaimed for his books, Griftopia and more recently, The Divide: American Injustice in the Age of the Wealth Gap. The ACLU of Illinois is pleased to be welcoming Mr. Taibbi as the guest speaker at the first annual ACLU Lunch on April 17, 2015 in Chicago.

The Rolling Stone article reveals what Taibbi refers to as “one of the biggest cases of white-collar crime in American history.” For years, JPMorgan Chase was engaged in a massive scam reselling bad mortgages as above-subprime securities. Taibbi writes about when Fleischmann first became suspicious of the scam:
A few months into her tenure, Fleischmann would later testify in a DOJ deposition, the bank hired a new manager for diligence, the group in charge of reviewing and clearing loans. Fleischmann quickly ran into a problem with this manager, technically one of her superiors. She says he told her and other employees to stop sending him e-mails. The department, it seemed, was wary of putting anything in writing when it came to its mortgage deals.
“If you sent him an e-mail, he would actually come out and yell at you,” she recalls. “The whole point of having a compliance and diligence group is to have policies that are set out clearly in writing. So to have exactly the opposite of that – that was very worrisome.” One former high-ranking federal prosecutor said that if he were taking a criminal case to trial, the information about this e-mail policy would be crucial. “I would begin and end my opening statement with that,” he says. “It shows these people knew what they were doing and were trying not to get caught.”

Former FBI Chief Ted Gunderson Says Chemtrail Death Dumps Must Be Stopped!

WHAT IS WRONG WITH CONGRESS? This has an affect on their population, and their people, and their friends, and their relatives, and themselves. What’s wrong with them? What’s wrong with the pilots who are flying these airplanes and dumping poison on their own families and children? We have to do something about it. Congress must step forward and stop it now!

Feb 21, 2013 – Former FBI Chief Ted Gunderson Says Chemtrail Death Dumps Must Be

Former FBI Chief, Ted L. Gunderson, makes a statement regarding the chemtrail “death dumps”, otherwise know as air crap, on January 12, 2011. Ted says the following: “The death dumps, otherwise known as chemical trails, are being dropped and sprayed throughout the United States and England, Scotland, Ireland, and Northern Europe. I have personally seen them not only in the United States, but in Mexico and in Canada. Birds are dying around the world. Fish are dying by the hundreds of thousands around the world. This is genocide. This is poison. This is murder by the United Nations. This element within our society that is doing this must be stopped. I happen to know of two of the locations where the airplanes are that dump this crap on us. Four of the planes are out of the Air National Guard in Lincoln, Nebraska. And, the other planes are out of Fort Sill, Oklahoma. I personally have observed the planes that were standing still in Nebraska – Lincoln, Nebraska – at the Air National Guard. They have no markings on them. They are huge, bomber-like airplanes with no markings. This is a crime: a crime against humanity, a crime against America, a crime against the citizens of this great country. The must be stopped.

Aluminum, Barium and Strontium: Chemtrails Are Not Contrails; Air Force Whistleblower, Kristen Meghan, Lifts the Lid on Chemtrails

Published on January 21, 2014

In the video above, Luke Rudkowski talks to U.S air force whistleblower Kristen Meghan about her conclusions and observations regarding the U.S military connection with chemtrails. The issue of chemtrails has been widely debated among many circles and is regarded in popular culture as a "conspiracy theory". But with whistleblowers like Kristen Meghan coming forward can it really be regarded a conspiracy theory anymore?

Weather weaponizing and controlling the weather for profit.

Is the government ready to come clean about climate engineering by convincing the public that is is necessary to "combat climate change?" Consider David Keith and his book, A Case For Climate Engineering" and his presentations on geoengineering against climate change:

"A Case For Climate Engineering" author David Keith explains his proposal to use geoengineering as a means of slowing climate change.

A leading scientist long concerned about climate change, Keith offers no naïve proposal for an easy fix to what is perhaps the most challenging question of our time; climate engineering is no silver bullet. But he argues that after decades during which very little progress has been made in reducing carbon emissions we must put this technology on the table and consider it responsibly. That doesn’t mean we will deploy it, and it doesn’t mean that we can abandon efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. But we must understand fully what research needs to be done and how the technology might be designed and used. This book provides a clear and accessible overview of what the costs and risks might be, and how climate engineering might fit into a larger program for managing climate change.

“Keith manages to keep the tone sober without ever sounding dull. His chapter on ethics deftly summarises some of the competing moral claims…Reading about proposals to alter the climate of an entire planet on purpose is dizzying. Yet scientists already talk of the dawning of a new geological age, the Anthropocene, named because humans, or rather, the industrial civilisation they have created, have become the main factor driving the evolution of Earth. [The Case for Climate Engineering emphasises] just how seriously the idea of deliberately altering the climate is being considered, both in scientific journals and among some governments…[Keith is] a guide for the undecided.”—The Economist

“Keith deserves credit for directing attention to ideas he knows are dangerous. Accepting the concept of the Anthropocene means accepting that humans have the responsibility to find technological fixes for disasters they have created. But little progress has been made toward a process for rationally supervising such activity on a global scale. We need a more open discussion about a seemingly outlandish but real geopolitical risk: war over climate engineering.”—Eli Kintisch, Technology Review

Bill Gates is also a strong proponent of geo-engineering. His goal is to reduce the world population to "avoid planetary catastrophe." At TED2010 (video above) he described the need for "miracles" to accomplish this goal and unveiled his vision for the world, proposing that one way to reduce populations is through the use of vaccines:
"If we do a really great job on new vaccines... we could lower [the population] by perhaps 10 or 15 percent."

CHEMTAILS EXPOSED! Air Force Whistleblower, Kristen Meghan, Lifts The Lid On Chemtrails

Published on May 18, 2013

After watching Terrorstorm in 2006, I began a journey to promote the truth and question the status quo. I am a nonconformist and believe that one should take a stand in educating themselves. I spent nine years on active duty and saw, first hand, the over-regulation and contradictory actions within our government. After "blowing the whistle", I left the military honorably and stronger than ever. I believe that I have done more for my country in two years in the support of liberty than I accomplished while in uniform for almost a decade. I am an Industrial Hygienist and Environmental Specialist in my other life. This education, experience and expertise in these sciences fuel my distaste not only for the EPA, but the TSA! I will not sugar coat the truth, I'm not here to hold your hand, so put away your "binky", I'm here to take a stand!

Bradley Manning's Letter to the President

Text of Bradley Manning's letter to president

August 21, 2013

FORT MEADE, Md. (AP) — The text of U.S. Army Pfc. Bradley Manning's statement that will be sent to the president, as read by defense attorney David Coombs following Manning's sentencing Wednesday:

The decisions that I made in 2010 were made out of a concern for my country and the world that we live in. Since the tragic events of 9/11, our country has been at war. We've been at war with an enemy that chooses not to meet us on any traditional battlefield, and due to this fact we've had to alter our methods of combating the risks posed to us and our way of life.

I initially agreed with these methods and chose to volunteer to help defend my country. It was not until I was in Iraq and reading secret military reports on a daily basis that I started to question the morality of what we were doing. It was at this time I realized that (in) our efforts to meet the risk posed to us by the enemy, we have forgotten our humanity. We consciously elected to devalue human life both in Iraq and Afghanistan. When we engaged those that we perceived were the enemy, we sometimes killed innocent civilians.

Whenever we killed innocent civilians, instead of accepting responsibility for our conduct, we elected to hide behind the veil of national security and classified information in order to avoid any public accountability.
In our zeal to kill the enemy, we internally debated the definition of torture. We held individuals at Guantanamo for years without due process. We inexplicably turned a blind eye to torture and executions by the Iraqi government. And we stomached countless other acts in the name of our war on terror.

Patriotism is often the cry extolled when morally questionable acts are advocated by those in power. When these cries of patriotism drown out any logically based dissension, it is usually the American soldier that is given the order to carry out some ill-conceived mission.

Our nation has had similar dark moments for the virtues of democracy — the Trail of Tears, the Dred Scott decision, McCarthyism, and the Japanese-American internment camps — to mention a few. I am confident that many of the actions since 9/11 will one day be viewed in a similar light.

As the late Howard Zinn once said, "There is not a flag large enough to cover the shame of killing innocent people."

I understand that my actions violated the law; I regret if my actions hurt anyone or harmed the United States. It was never my intent to hurt anyone. I only wanted to help people. When I chose to disclose classified information, I did so out of a love for my country and a sense of duty to others.

If you deny my request for a pardon, I will serve my time knowing that sometimes you have to pay a heavy price to live in a free society. I will gladly pay that price if it means we could have a country that is truly conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all women and men are created equal.

Snowden's Father Criticizes Congress for Failing to Rein in a Sweeping Surveillance Program

Snowden's father criticizes Congress, Obama over spy programs

July 26, 2013

Reuters - The father of fugitive U.S. spy agency contractor Edward Snowden on Friday criticized Congress for failing to rein in a sweeping surveillance program made public by his son and accused the Obama administration of pursuing him with a "zeal to punish."

Lonnie Snowden has not had direct communication with his son since he fled to Hong Kong and then Russia, but sent a letter to President Barack Obama on Friday defending his son's actions as similar to acts of civil disobedience.
"We thus find your administration's zeal to punish Mr. Snowden's discharge of civic duty to protect democratic processes and to safeguard liberty to be unconscionable and indefensible," the letter to Obama said.

"We are also appalled at your administration's scorn for due process, the rule of law, fairness, and the presumption of innocence as regards Edward," he wrote in the letter posted on MSNBC's website.
Lonnie Snowden, in an interview with NBC's "Today" show, said lawmakers were "complicit or negligent" in allowing the National Security Agency's massive electronic surveillance program to continue.
"I am extremely disappointed and angry," he said. "The American people - at this point, they don't know the full truth, but the truth is coming."
NBC polling showed that more than half of Americans are worried about the vast operation that sweeps up information on phone calls, emails and other communications, but just 11 percent support Edward Snowden's decision to flee the United States and release details about the effort to the media.

Lonnie Snowden said those findings show "a concerted effort" by lawmakers and Obama "to demonize my son, to focus the issue on my son, and not to talk about the fact that they had a responsibility to ensure that these programs were constitutional."

The U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday narrowly rejected a plan to limit the NSA's ability to collect electronic information, including phone call records.

About half of Americans support the data collection program while about 44 percent do not, according to a Pew Research Center poll released on Friday.

'JUST LAUGHABLE'

Edward Snowden was working at the National Security Agency as a contractor from Booz Allen Hamilton before he released details about the spying programs to U.S. and British media that were published in early June.

Russia has so far refused to hand over Snowden, who has remained in a Moscow airport since June 23, to the United States, and is considering a temporary asylum request.

On Friday Russia said its officials and the FBI were discussing the matter, and the U.S. Department of Justice said it had assured Russian counterparts that Snowden would not be tortured or face the death penalty if he was returned.
"Wow that's a real concession, they won't torture him and send him to the guillotine," Bruce Fein, Lonnie Snowden's lawyer, told Reuters, adding that such assurances were "just laughable."
He also said he had not received a response from the Justice Department over an earlier letter outlining possible conditions for his client to return to the United States.

Lonnie Snowden told NBC he was confident in his son's actions.
"I believe that my son, when he takes his final breath whether it's today or 100 years from now, he will be comfortable with what he did because he did what he knew was right."
