How to Know You Are Living in a Cashless Society

Living in a Cashles Society

Step 1

Debit/Credit Cards

The United States first used a credit card in the 1920's. With so many department stores in the United States, it only seemed natural to take a credit card from their customers. Even in the 1920's and on, the credit card began to replace cash. In today's world, a credit card has, in a way, almost replaced cash.

You may say, a credit card as part of a cashless society? Well, sure, if you find yourself using less cash and more credit, you are in a cashless society. Recently I heard someone say using a credit card does not have the same feel as using cash. When you use cash, you can feel it, see it and you know you have earned it.

Many commercials these days are suggesting that cash takes to long for a transaction to occur. I say, so what. If using cash makes you feel more secure, use cash.

Now, a debit card is different from credit in that the money is actually coming from your checking account.

Step 2

Finger Scanning

If you do not yet know what a finger scan is, let me tell you what it is and why we do not want this as part of our everyday lives.

A finger scan recognizes a person's fingerprint characteristics for identification purposes. A finger scan, in a nutshell, will recognize a person who enters into a building like a place of business, a shopping mall or grocery store.

This is a biometric feature which will also invade our privacy. Right now, fingerscanning is used to login to a laptop computer and other places of work. Pretty soon though, fingerscanning will be used to pay for food, products and services.

Is this the wave of the future you seek?

Step 3

RFID Chip Implants

You may wonder what a microchip is out how it is used. A microchip has a little antenna built into the rice-like microchip. This antenna allows you to be watched and tracked.

Now, what is being said is, a microchip will be great for tracking lost pets. But, did you know, microchips will soon be implanted into newborn babies before they leave the hospital? That is right, from cradle to grave, your little baby will be tracked.

Now, I am not sure if, once they are put under your skin, they can be removed, but I do know they are cancer causing. If these microchips caused cancerous tumors in lab rats, don't you think they would do the same in humans?

Step 4

These are just subtle ways our American society is getting the merchant, you and me, away from using cash. This article is only telling you a little piece of what is really happening right now to make America and the world a cashless society. If this is something you do not want to see go away, it is time your voice is heard in your state.
