Turkey's Erdogan: 'Confirmed Evidence' US-Led Coalition Forces Supported ISIS

"Erdogan hates Kurds, particularly secular ones. The Kurds hate him, but they really hate IS, and they have been fighting them from go. His sons trade arms for oil to IS. He's done prisoner swaps with them. He used a very suspicious 'coup' as an excuse to lock up the great bulk of the intellectual professionals in his country. The US has definitely allowed arms to end up in unfortunate places, but this guy is no trustworthy source. He's lying. He's a dictator." - paulie_purr

Independent Journal Review - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday made the bombshell claim that he has “confirmed evidence” that U.S.-led coalition forces provided support to terrorist groups in Syria, including ISIS.

Erdogan reportedly told reporters during a press conference in the Turkish capital of Ankara. In addition to ISIS, Erdogan claimed U.S.-led coalition forces have also provided support to the Kurdish militant groups YPG and PYD, according to Reuters.
“They were accusing us of supporting Daesh [Islamic State].”
“Now they give support to terrorist groups including Daesh, YPG, PYD. It's very clear. We have confirmed evidence, with pictures, photos and videos.”
U.S.-led coalition forces have actively helped Syrian rebels battling Bashar al-Assad, but have never openly assisted ISIS or other terrorist groups. Erdogan apparently did not release the “evidence” he purports to have.

However, the Obama administration has faced harsh criticism amid numerous reports that U.S. weapons were ending up in the hands of ISIS fighters.

Why is Erdogan exposing the US for supporting IS when he has done the same thing? When his son has grown rich off oil smuggled by IS? Is he passing the buck now that the campaign against Assad has been lost?

NATO got caught fucking around in the ME because Russia decided to intervene. This infuriated NATO. As a result, Turkey was aggressive with Russia to discourage further action.

Russia retaliated by exposing Erdogan to be shills for IS.

Erdogan was fucked. NATO was likely ready to throw him under the bus soon to avoid the truth of IS to be further exposed. Erdogan decided to stage a false coup to turn on all of NATO before they could turn on him. Now he can claim to be the victim. Now he can say anything he likes that is contrary to what the rest of NATO is claiming.

Now that they're "enemies" he is further trying to play power games with NATO and Russia by offering to join a union with Russia.

This is likely out of desperation. He does not want to be overthrown. He is tightening his grasp on the country, and people have noticed the shift to a dictatorship.

This is the fallout from Russia exposing the IS oil scheme in Turkey.

Why does it seem everyone hates or has a problem with the Kurds?

From the eyes of a government like Turkey, the kurds are a headache to say the least. they are militant, they want their own independence and are armed/backed by the US. But those Kurds fight isis for us and shit so..

So we fund both sides of the fight? ISIS to murder Assad and the Kurds for PR points?

    [–]vroombangbang

fuck yeah, fund both sides and make double what you should be making. no, it's fucking disgusting. As far as i know, the kurds are fighting isis, al qaeda, turks, AND the syrian government. I know a few friends who've met the kurds when they were deployed. Apparently they are some hard core badasses.
