Clinton's Inner Circle Exposed in Final Stretch of Election

MIAMI (AP) — As Hillary Clinton presses for a return to the White House, so, too, does the Clinton inner circle — the family of aides and confidants that have at times strained the loyalty, patience and political judgment of the figures at its center.
The Democratic presidential nominee is in the middle of one such moment. A little more than a week from Election Day, her campaign has been rocked by a controversy sparked anew by the sexting exploits of her closest aide's estranged husband.
It is, on one level, the most surprising of October surprises — an almost unbelievable collision of the tabloid tale with the stranger-than-the-tabloids presidential election.
But for those who've long been wary of the company the Clintons keep, it was a reminder of the downside of both Bill and Hillary Clinton's famed loyalty — and a reluctance to distance themselves from drama bound to do them political harm.
The Clinton
campaign declared Saturday it was firmly behind Huma Abedin, the
longtime aide and Hillary Clinton confidante whose emails showed up on a
computer seized by law enforcement officials investigating husband
Anthony Weiner's online contact with a minor. The FBI decision to review
the new emails, as part of its investigation into Clinton's private
email server, breathed new life into Clinton's own email woes.
"We of course stand behind her," Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta told reporters, saying Abedin has "completely and voluntarily complied with and cooperated with the investigation."
Abedin is the best-known member of Clinton's insular band of loyalists. Glamorous and fashionable, she has long been a recognizable figure among Clinton supporters and political opponents.
Republican nominee Donald Trump was perhaps the first to raise the concern that Abedin's marriage might be a problem for Clinton, tweeting more than a year ago that Weiner was "a major security risk as a collector of info."
Abedin was perpetually at Clinton's side at the State Department, a gatekeeper and adviser to the nation's top diplomat. Clinton's team defended her unusual employment arrangement at the time, in which Abedin was paid by the Clinton Foundation, a consulting firm called Teneo and the State Department all at once.
Clinton stood by her when Weiner's first online sex scandal cost him his seat in Congress, and when his second imploded his bid for New York mayor. When Abedin announced her separation from Weiner earlier this year, it was Clinton's campaign that sent her statement to reporters.
Abedin is only one of the longtime Clinton crew that has caused headaches in the final stretch. The trove of emails hacked from Podesta's account and published by WikiLeaks has offered new detail on friction, alliances and maneuvering in the Clintons' orbit.
The correspondence is particularly striking as speculation swirls about who will be brought into a Clinton administration and who will be kept at a distance.
Among the emails was a memo from Bill Clinton's longtime aide Doug Band, a co-founder of Teneo, detailing how he mixed fundraising for the Clinton Foundation with his personal consulting business. He labeled the web of connections "Bill Clinton, Inc.," a moniker on which Republicans have seized as evidence of the Clintons' using their political status for personal gain.
Other emails showed the tensions between the new and old circles of Clinton confidants, as a cast of new campaign aides moved their way into the inner circle.
Philippe Reines, Clinton's hot-tempered and foul-mouthed former spokesman and fierce defender of Clinton in the Senate and at the State Department, in particular, was shown to be grappling with the new regime.
In a March 2015 email to Podesta, Reines said it was a "bitter pill to swallow" knowing he would not be by Clinton's side for her second White House run.
"My participation should be dialed way back down to where you decided it to be, with clear boundaries, which honestly, is where I need it to be for myself," Reines wrote.
But, as often happens in Clinton's circle, Reines found his way back. He stepped in to play the role of Donald Trump in a series of practice debates, winning lavish praise from other aides for his spot-on portrayal of the Republican businessman. Clinton herself has given Reines a cameo in her stump speeches, referring to him as the "young man" who helped prepare her to take on Trump.
Reines made an actual appearance with the campaign on Saturday, joining the team of traveling aides. Abedin, who has been a regular fixture on the Clinton plane, stayed behind in New York.
Clinton aides said she planned to return soon.

Remember national security adviser Sandy Berger smuggled Clinton documents out of the National Archives in his socks!! He admitted to this and was charged I believe. He got scared once getting outside and hid the documents in a car or something then returned later and retrieved them and destroyed them. Berger was sent in to retrieve specific documents. Oh to know what was in those documents! Folks, this was the national security adviser to Clinton! And regarding the whitewater documents you mention, wasn't it those documents that mysteriously showed up a year later in a large box under a flight of stairs at the White house and no one knew how or when they got there? Does anyone remember that? Probably not because the media only covered it for a couple days. Just two more of a long bloody trail of the Clintonistas....
Who in the State Department approved of this? Did Huma Abedin have a clearance? Who, if anyone signed off on that? Who briefed the entire HRC staff on Government Security Rules and Regulations? Why has no media even asked these questions? Cover up here on a grand scale, or just ignorance?
It shows that her pay grade with the state department wasn't high enough to keep her unless they paid her from other sources as well. POTUS pay grade tops out $400k for base pay, I would be shocked if Abedin makes less then $1 million annually after combining her income sources. Also, the fact that the state department allowed her to be employed by the Clinton Foundation, as well as a 3rd party in addition to the State is a HUGE conflict of interest. The State Department needs to be investigated as well for their hiring practices.

When Bill Clinton was president, he allowed Hillary to assume authority over a health care reform. Even after threats and intimidation, she couldn’t even get a vote in a democratic controlled congress. This fiasco cost the American taxpayers about $13 million in cost for studies, promotion, and other efforts. Then President Clinton gave Hillary authority over selecting a female attorney general. Her first two selections were Zoe Baird and Kimba Wood – both were forced to withdraw their names from consideration. Next she chose Janet Reno – husband Bill described her selection as “my worst mistake.” Some may not remember that Reno made the decision to gas David Koresh and the Branch Davidian religious sect in Waco, Texas resulting in dozens of deaths of women and children. Husband Bill allowed Hillary to make recommendations for the head of the Civil Rights Commission. Lani Guanier was her selection. When a little probing led to the discovery of Ms. Guanier’s radical views, her name had to be withdrawn from consideration. Apparently a slow learner, husband Bill allowed Hillary to make some more recommendations. She chose former law partners Web Hubbel for the Justice Department, Vince Foster for the White House staff, and William Kennedy for the Treasury Department. Her selections went well....Hubbel went to prison, Foster (presumably) committed suicide, and Kennedy was forced to resign. Many younger voters will have no knowledge of “Travelgate.” Hillary wanted to award unfettered travel contracts to Clinton friend Harry Thompson – and the White House Travel Office refused to comply. She managed to have them reported to the FBI and fired. This ruined their reputations, cost them their jobs, and caused a thirty-six month investigation. Only one employee, Billy Dale was charged with a crime, and that of the enormous crime of mixing personal and White House funds. A jury acquitted him of any crime in less than two hours. Still not convinced of her ineptness, Hillary was allowed to recommend a close Clinton friend, Craig Livingstone, for the position of Director of White House security. When Livingstone was investigated for the improper access of about 900 FBI files of Clinton enemies (Filegate) and the widespread use of drugs by White House staff, suddenly Hillary and the president denied even knowing Livingstone, and of course, denied knowledge of drug use in the White House. Following this debacle, the FBI closed its White House Liaison Office after more than thirty years of service to seven presidents. Next, when women started coming forward with allegations of sexual harassment and rape by Bill Clinton, Hillary was put in charge of the "Bimbo eruption” and scandal defense. Some of her more notable decisions in the debacle were.... She urged her husband not to settle the Paula Jones lawsuit. After the Starr investigation they settled with Ms. Jones. She refused to release the Whitewater documents, which led to the appointment of Ken Starr as Special Prosecutor. After $80 million dollars of taxpayer money was spent, Starr's investigation led to Monica Lewinsky, which led to Bill lying about and later admitting his affairs. Hillary’s devious game plan resulted in Bill losing his license to practice law for 'lying under oath' to a grand jury and then his subsequent impeachment by the House of Representatives. Hillary avoided indictment for perjury and obstruction of justice during the Starr investigation by repeating, “I do not recall,”....“I have no recollection,” ....and “I don’t know” a total of 56 times while under oath. After leaving the White House, Hillary was forced to return an estimated $200,000 in White House furniture, china, and artwork that she had stolen. What a swell party – ready for another four or eight year of this type of low-life mess? Now we are exposed to the destruction of possibly incriminating emails while Hillary was Secretary of State and the “pay to play” schemes of the Clinton Foundation – we have no idea what shoe will fall next.

All we do is reelect the same type of career politicians over & over, then actually expect real change!! Now that is total insanity. The FBI probe of Huma Abedin's husband Anthony Weiner for "sexting" to a minor put a much needed spotlight on her, Hillary's top aide and confidante as well as on some of the other members of the Clintons' inner circle. The emails released by Wikileaks open a very small window on their attitudes, lack of ethics, elitist contempt for Americans and outright corruption. This is just the proverbial tip of the iceberg, we may never find out just how the Clintons accumulated more than $100 million since they left the White House "not just broke but in debt" fifteen years ago, according to Hillary. The amount of damage this crowd could do to our country if Hillary is elected is unlimited.
I am a lifelong Democrat and I ask my fellow Democrats to dump Hillary Clinton. She is corrupt to the core. The honorable thing for our party to do is to dump Hillary and her corrupt minion NOW. Our nation MUST come before our party. If we we don't dump Hillary before the election we can at least vote against her. My wife and I both supported her in 2008 but we both voted against her in the primary. Hillary lost to Bernie in our state 59% to 41% so she has little support in our neck of the woods. Put our country before our party, it is the right thing to do.
How did they accumulate the wealth? Just ask what they were selling... Not speeches. They were selling access and influence in the executive branch.

Google search Huma Abedin, associate editor of JMMA. Google search her family and ties to the muslim brotherhood. Her deceased father was the founder of JMMA. Her mother still lives in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, asst. editor of JMMA, funded by Saudis. Could any (classified) emails have been leaked to the Saudis? This is very serious stuff (espionage) that the FBI should have been investigating all along.
The hysteric and unbridled attacks on the FBI indicate that the material and its implications are dire indeed for the Clintons and their cronies. It is becoming more and more evident that what we are seeing is Tammany Hall on a global scale.

Clinton is grumbling now about Comey. Oh, boo hoo, CRY ME A RIVER. Last summer when she got her free pass from Comey he was the greatest guy in the world. Back then, she was interviewed at the END of the investigation, instead of the beginning. Her cronies were given immunity to turn over records when they didn't have to be given immunity. They deleted 33,000 emails under Congressional subpoena, a federal crime. Cheryl Mills, a target of the investigation, was allowed to attend Hillary's interview as her attorney. There was no swearing in or taping of the interview. None of this, none of it, comports with normal FBI handling of investigations. So now Comey comes out with a letter stating there's more information on the matter, and he has to pursue it our panties are in a bind. OH, CRY ME A RIVER.

To entertain or condone this despicable behavior is irresponsible and disgusting! What else do we need to brand the Clintons as dishonest, despicable sleaze balls? Whether we are Democrat or Republican, or something else, we still have a vested interest in the future of our Country. The world is watching this debacle! Donald Trump may not be Mr. Congeniality, but he has managed to achieve a business empire of note. Lynch, acting as a spokesperson for Obama, wanted to bury the emails until after the election. However, if Comey agreed to withhold them, he could be accused of being part of a coverup and he would be finished if the emails were significant. So he informed Congress to cover his backside. The FBI and DOJ know what's in the emails. However, Comey is seeking a warrant to review the emails. Now the DOJ (Obama) is forced to go along with the request for a warrant because the democrats are calling for a full disclosure of what is in the emails.
There are thousands of documents Hillary and Huma didn't turn over...even though Hillary told you/me/them she did!
The FBI should have handled it differently. However, her "gross carelessness" in her handling of classified material is more than adequate to bring charges. The FBI was screwed from the get-go, in that the DOJ never had any intention to stay neutral and follow any recommendations, other than no indictment. The DOJ is the corrupt party here, playing politics instead of justice. Y'all got screwed with Hillary like we got screwed with Trump. Hillary was never the best or desired candidate, she forced her way upon the process because she felt she was entitled and deserving, and no one had the spinal fortitude to say no.

The Clinton campaign is imploding and Hillary Clinton is looking to blame others when she doesn't need to look any further than herself to blame. Hillary Clinton at her sole discretion established a private server against protocol, against State Department rules, violating the Federal Records and violated a Congressional committee subpoena. Now her actions are being exposed, yet she continues to try and play the victim looking for a scapegoat and now being critical of the person two months ago she praised. She also criticized Donald Trump for claiming the election was rigged but that is exactly what she is saying now.

Democrat voters do not care about integrity. They do not care about any act of dishonesty. They will re-elect crack smoking, prostitute-seeking felons (Marion Berry, D.C.) and Kwame Kilpatrick of Detroit. All Democrats care about is that you SAY the things they want to hear. I think instinctively they understand the end game is power and once in power the faithful get free stuff or shared power. They get to make society into their Neverland style collectivist utopia - where everybody plays, but nobody works. The Clintons have more real scandals, dead people, mistresses, and funny money than all the other Presidents combined. Yet, they are free, wealthy and loved by Democrats and the Left, in general. Imagine if any Republican, or two or three Republicans had the same number of scandals. How do you think the press would treat them as well as the party? The Clintons are absolute mute proof of Democrat and leftist core values.
