U.S. Military Drafted Plans to Terrorize U.S. Cities to Provoke War With Cuba

ABC News - In the early 1960s, America's top military leaders reportedly drafted plans to kill innocent people and commit acts of terrorism in U.S. cities to create public support for a war against Cuba.

Code named Operation Northwoods, the plans reportedly included the possible assassination of Cuban émigrés, sinking boats of Cuban refugees on the high seas, hijacking planes, blowing up a U.S. ship, and even orchestrating violent terrorism in U.S. cities.

The plans were developed as ways to trick the American public and the international community into supporting a war to oust Cuba's then new leader, communist Fidel Castro.

America's top military brass even contemplated causing U.S. military casualties, writing: "We could blow up a U.S. ship in Guantanamo Bay and blame Cuba," and, "casualty lists in U.S. newspapers would cause a helpful wave of national indignation."

Details of the plans are described in Body of Secrets (Doubleday), a new book by investigative reporter James Bamford about the history of America's largest spy agency, the National Security Agency. However, the plans were not connected to the agency, he notes.

The plans had the written approval of all of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and were presented to President Kennedy's defense secretary, Robert McNamara, in March 1962. But they apparently were rejected by the civilian leadership and have gone undisclosed for nearly 40 years.

"These were Joint Chiefs of Staff documents. The reason these were held secret for so long is the Joint Chiefs never wanted to give these up because they were so embarrassing," Bamford told ABCNEWS.com.

"The whole point of a democracy is to have leaders responding to the public will, and here this is the complete reverse, the military trying to trick the American people into a war that they want but that nobody else wants."

Gunning for War

The documents show "the Joint Chiefs of Staff drew up and approved plans for what may be the most corrupt plan ever created by the U.S. government," writes Bamford.

The Joint Chiefs even proposed using the potential death of astronaut John Glenn during the first attempt to put an American into orbit as a false pretext for war with Cuba, the documents show.

Should the rocket explode and kill Glenn, they wrote, "the objective is to provide irrevocable proof … that the fault lies with the Communists et all Cuba [sic]."

The plans were motivated by an intense desire among senior military leaders to depose Castro, who seized power in 1959 to become the first communist leader in the Western Hemisphere — only 90 miles from U.S. shores.

The earlier CIA-backed Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba by Cuban exiles had been a disastrous failure, in which the military was not allowed to provide firepower. The military leaders now wanted a shot at it.

"The whole thing was so bizarre," says Bamford, noting public and international support would be needed for an invasion, but apparently neither the American public, nor the Cuban public, wanted to see U.S. troops deployed to drive out Castro.

Reflecting this, the U.S. plan called for establishing prolonged military — not democratic — control over the island nation after the invasion.

"That's what we're supposed to be freeing them from," Bamford says. "The only way we would have succeeded is by doing exactly what the Russians were doing all over the world, by imposing a government by tyranny, basically what we were accusing Castro himself of doing."

'Over the Edge'

The Joint Chiefs at the time were headed by Eisenhower appointee Army Gen. Lyman L. Lemnitzer, who, with the signed plans in hand made a pitch to McNamara on March 13, 1962, recommending Operation Northwoods be run by the military.

Whether the Joint Chiefs' plans were rejected by McNamara in the meeting is not clear. But three days later, President Kennedy told Lemnitzer directly there was virtually no possibility of ever using overt force to take Cuba, Bamford reports. Within months, Lemnitzer would be denied another term as chairman and transferred to another job.

The secret plans came at a time when there was distrust in the military leadership about their civilian leadership, with leaders in the Kennedy administration viewed as too liberal, insufficiently experienced, and soft on communism. At the same time, however, there were real concerns in American society about their military overstepping its bounds.

There were reports U.S. military leaders had encouraged their subordinates to vote conservative during the election.

And at least two popular books were published focusing on a right-wing military leadership pushing the limits against government policy of the day.

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee published its own report on right-wing extremism in the military, warning a "considerable danger" in the "education and propaganda activities of military personnel" had been uncovered.

The committee even called for an examination of any ties between Lemnitzer and right-wing groups. But Congress didn't get wind of Northwoods, says Bamford.

"Although no one in Congress could have known at the time," he writes, "Lemnitzer and the Joint Chiefs had quietly slipped over the edge."

Even after Lemnitzer was gone, he writes, the Joint Chiefs continued to plan "pretext" operations at least through 1963.

One idea was to create a war between Cuba and another Latin American country so that the United States could intervene. Another was to pay someone in the Castro government to attack U.S. forces at the Guantanamo naval base — an act, which Bamford notes, would have amounted to treason. And another was to fly low level U-2 flights over Cuba, with the intention of having one shot down as a pretext for a war.

"There really was a worry at the time about the military going off crazy and they did, but they never succeeded, but it wasn't for lack of trying," he says.

After 40 Years

Ironically, the documents came to light, says Bamford, in part because of the 1992 Oliver Stone film JFK, which examined the possibility of a conspiracy behind the assassination of President Kennedy.

As public interest in the assassination swelled after JFK's release, Congress passed a law designed to increase the public's access to government records related to the assassination.

The author says a friend on the board tipped him off to the documents.

Afraid of a congressional investigation, Lemnitzer had ordered all Joint Chiefs documents related to the Bay of Pigs destroyed, says Bamford. But somehow, these remained.

"The scary thing is none of this stuff comes out until 40 years after," says Bamford.

If there's any people over the age of 40 in here, see if this sounds familiar: While growing up all I heard was the Warren Commission had the true story (or so we were lead to believe), that was their findings on the whole JFK thing, and it would not be released for 50 years. In 1988 a group of people sued the federal government to unseal the files because people were fed up with all the stories and conspiracy theories. They lost, of course, and the people were told by the news media, "You'll just have to wait till 2013." When 2013 hit I was thinking, "OK here we are, let see it..." NOTHING. I may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer but I do pay attention. There was nothing on the news, there was nothing on the internet, etc... Was this secret report blended into the news media because it was found to be insignificant? What happened?

They lie and bend truths, hide facts and play nice, and do so knowingly, wittingly, and purposefully. This _is_ a conspiracy.

People in wartime have conspired together to cover up illegal acts which may or may not have ultimately saved soldiers' lives. This, too, _is_ a conspiracy by definition - perhaps benign, perhaps not.

The people in "power" (the quotes are very relevant, but that is a separate discussion altogether) _do_ play games behind your back. They _do_ take efforts to mislead you, to gain your trust without earning it, to misallocate your taxes, to steal your money, to take your home, to control the prices of the groceries you buy, and to generally dominate every facet of your life.

The people in "power" _do_ conspire. Bet on it. Count on it. Be sure of it. Have no doubt. History proves it.

They have the motive. They have the means. They have the opportunity. They have red all over their hands.

In a simple, civilian murder trial, the verdict would be a foregone conclusion.



There most certainly was a cover-up, and there really needed to be. National security trumps everything. If the government let it be known that a group of people could just murder our president in broad daylight, the faith of the public would have destroyed. Consider that this was at the height of the cold war, when paranoia and fear was already running rampant.

Look at what happened after 9/11, and that was at a time when the public felt safe and secure. During the existing turmoil of the 60's, the truth about the Kennedy assassination may have destroyed this country. Blaming it on a lone, psycho lunatic was probably their best option. You may not like the CIA's actions, but it was done with the intent of preserving national security and public confidence.

I think there is little doubt that Oswald did not fire the fatal shot. Watching the Zapruda film, it is clear that the fatal shot came from the front, given how violently Kennedy's head snaps back. Forget the magic bullet, if that fatal shot came from the rear, it defies the laws of physics.

I recall as a child when the Warren Commission findings were aired on TV. It was common consensus among everyone I know who watched them that there was some kind of cover-up going on.

The shots came from behind the fence on the grassy knoll. The shots could not have possibly come from book depositary window. The Zaptuder film shows that. The Rifle Oswald had was not a automatic weapon and could not fire without a manual reloading, it was not the murder weapon. The Warren Commission and the FBI messed up the investigation. Ruby killed Oswald and the government let Oswald take the blame. There were numerous accounts of people that say the sots came from behind the fence on the grassy knoll.

The distance of the building and Kennedy was to great as the shot that hit his head. Yes the rush to cover it up by doctors on the plan and yes evidence was destroyed. Now what Historians leave out is the guilt of the lawmakers that showed on their faces. Johnson knew and guilt caused him to blackmail lawmakers into signing the civil rights and voting rights. Back in the 60's school use to educate kids. Our teacher asked us to discuss Oswald and we all agreed he would never live to talk. Well adults believed in our government and our teacher said this man killed our President and they will make sure he lives to go on trial. Well we again saw live on TV as Oswald came out of the elevator with security all around him as he kept saying he did not kill Kennedy. A man walked up right in front of the security and shot Oswald in the heart. Yes Rudy was assigned and his girlfriend was scared she knew to much. A reporter went to interview her and she said all his debts were paid and he was about to lose his business. Well like clock work she died in a car accident days later. Ruby jailed but it seems he did not get the deal he was promised so he was ready to talk years later. Well the last reporter to see he said the government shot me up with cancer. No one believed it but he died before his court day of cancer. It was interesting because it seems Martha Mitchell who exposed Watergate also died of cancer as she was treated by the government. As some of those involved die confusions are made but to get the full story all have to leave then maybe the truth will be told of how the United States Government plotted and assassinated President Kennedy.


Things I've read lead me to believe it was a mafia hit.

That guy in Chicago (I forget his name) along with others funneled a lot of money into the JFK campaign via Frank Sinatra. Then after the election RFK, as AG, went after the mafia like a rabid dog. You gotta know that was not the return on investment they expected. Then both JFK & RFK end up assassinated.

Also, there are the stories of the Chicago mobster, Oswald & Ruby meeting at Ruby's strip club shortly before the assassination. Throw in that the waitress who told the story died in a car accident shortly before she was to make a sworn statement to the FBI.


Kennedy's dead and so are most of these criminals.

A few hours after JFK was killed, none other than George HW Bush called in a tip to the FBI fingering somebody who turned out to be quite innocent. Bush said he was calling from Midland TX. Why the FBI needed to know where he was calling from is a mystery, but at least one photo appears to show that Bush was in Dallas the day of the killing. Bush has always claimed to not remember making the call, but this has to be a lie. Why would he lie? He's still alive. We can hope for some death bed revelations.

And Kennedy had just bypassed the FED from printing money as well as firing the CIA director for his involvement in a plot to kill Americans and blame it on Castro. And what was Bush senior, a CIA operative doing in Dallas the day of the assassination?

Call me stupid but I still believe this was a Mob hit, via the CIA or whatever and so was Bobby Kennedy's death. John screwed Francis S. over after the election and Bobby went after them with vengeance as Attorney General. It is common knowledge that without the Mob intervention in Illinois and West Virginia JFK does not win the election and Joe Kennedy cut a deal with the Mob to rig those 2 states and in fact they did just that. Back in the mid 1960's the Mob was very powerful and knocking guys out was no big deal to them - President or not. At the end of the day they had gotten spun by all the Kennedys and just did not do that to them back in those days and get away with it.

Assassination plot vs Castro was a well-known plot and after JFK's botching of "The Bay of Pigs" there was no way the CIA was going to allow him any access to that particular strategy. Begin a war to free Cuba, intensify Cold War relations with the Soviet Union, and rid the government of the Kennedy clan. RFK staid the course, pursued the mob relentlessly, rose to legendary status with voters….and paid the price. Not one person saw Oswald do it. Not one. Best theory is that he was an operative for the CIA, was told that a staged attempt would be made on JFK to start a war with Cuba...and he was to wait for a phone call in the lunch room, which was where he was seen before, and immediately after the last shots were fired.....no call ever came. When he saw that it was a real assassination, he knew that he was now the Patsy, and reacted the way he did. Ruby took care of the Patsy, just like he was told to.


There has never been any desire to properly investigate the JFK assassination because too many important people were involved and are still alive. Suffice it to say that this country went through a coup d'tat that has continued to have a ripple effect on the political affairs of this nation. This is obvious when you look at the political course we have taken since that time.

The Mob, various politicians, members of the military and various governmental agencies, along with big business, were behind the demise of our 35th president. Is it so unusual to believe that the CIA (Murder Incorporated) had a hand in the killing of JFK? This is the same agency that has overthrown popularly elected governments abroad and murdered their leaders, trained and equipped death squads in Latin America, all while embracing plausible denial.


I saw an interesting documentary awhile back that showed the way the bullet entered and left the skull could not have come from Oswald's gun. It also suggested that there was a cover up where the actual bullet that hit Kennedy came from one of the agents in the car behind him. They speculated that when the shot was fired that it missed but the agent accidentally shot the president as he was raising his gun in the heat of the moment. They said the trajectory would match exactly the agent's position.

According to previous information disclosed from past documentaries made about the JFK assassination, there were two hired french hitman contracted to murder the president. Oswald was a patsy; a fall guy. Mafia figures hired these two men. They originally planned to kill the president in Miami; however something intervened from that happening. Minutes after the assassination occurred, these two hired hitman were taken to a rooming house in Dallas and were hidden for a number of days. They then were flown out of the area. This thing was so orchestrated in terms of where the shooters were located in Dealey Plaza that no one could have ever spotted them. They were experienced marksmen. I do believe in the grassy knoll theory as witnesses said that it sounded like shots came from the grassy knoll. I believe the other shooter was positioned slightly beyond the overpass. Secret service did a horrible job with surveillance. Of course no could ever imagine back then that something like this would happen to our commander and chief. It was Bobby Kennedy's war against organized crime and the backfire of the Bay of Pigs that ended up getting the president killed.

JFK wanted to also disband secret societies as well. There is a notion that free masons were not pleased about this. The president had alot of nemesis from CIA operatives, Cuban government and Castro sympathizers, Mob figures, J Edgar Hoover, and even Vice President Johnson. There are alot of different scenarios to look at. I do believe that the culprits though involved mob figures who hired hitmen with rouge members of Cuban intelligence possibly being invloved. We cannot forget the CIA doing one of the most infamous cover ups in American history due to prior knowledge that was obtained of this plot to assassinate the president.

It was not organized crime! More than likely it was mastered by the CIA. Not only did Kennedy want to get rid of the CIA. But, he also wanted South Vietnam to fight there own war with out American troops. Plus, at a U.N. meeting, he spoke about wanting to get rid of all nukes and have one Army for the world. His logic was, if we had one army that controlled the problem areas of the world, we wound not need nukes...Of course he was asking the U.N. to be the one world order!


All of the doctors in the ER at Parkland saw JFK's frontal wounds as entry wounds, not exit wounds. To name some: Crenshaw, McLelland, and Jenkins. Some changed their opinions after the autopsy at Bethesda said otherwise.

The Zapruder film: When JFK is hit with that head-wound shot, he moves back and to his left (towards Jackie). That certainly looks like he was hit from the front (and to his right).

The Zapruder film was not shown to the public for many years.

This all adds up to shots coming from the front of JFK, not the rear. That is what many people think.


This "hit" had nothing to do with Cuba. Period. This was all about their grand war in Vietnam. Ike opposed it, and the MIC threatened him. JFK opposed it, and they killed him. LBJ blew the whole thing up in spades, because that was the deal they made with him. I have waffled back and forth over the years, as to whether there was a conspiracy or the Warren Commission got it right. I now believe there was a conspiracy based on evidence presented by the Warren commission. 1st the magic bullet is a steel jacketed military round, the killing round was a frangible or explosive round. I cannot believe one gun had both types of rounds in it. Although possible, why? How would a shooter know which round would need to be a frangible. It would make more sense that a specific shooter by his position would have explosive rounds. 2nd the autopsy photo's taken of the rear of Pres. Kennedys head had been heavily retouched to show hair on a solid skull. Both attending physicians at Parkland Hospital described the right rear side of the Presidents skull to have a large (7cm) jagged hole with approximately 1/4 of the brain having been blown away. There must have been a government conspiracy to cover-up (at least after the fact) the Presidents wounds and the fact that more than one shooter was involved. It only gets more interesting when one knows that E. Howard Hunt, a CIA employee was proven in a civil court to have been in Dallas on November 22, 1963.


I'm a hunter and have been around guns all my life, and the Kill shot came from the grassy knoll. The Zapruder film clearly shows Jackie jumping out of the back of the limo trying to get his brains back. I'm no conspiracy nut, but don't tell me Oswald made that shot, I have Common Sense, something that is not so COMMON anymore. The head shot wasn't from behind, it was from the fence. I've been there, and it was an easy shot, maybe 40 yards at best

Another point, if Oswald pulled the trigger, why didn't he shoot him from the front on Houston before the limo turned onto Elm Street? I have been to Dealy, both shots are easy for anyone who can shoot, but why would he purposefully take the shot with the target going away from him? I agree with Michael, the kill shot came from the knoll - its so close, one could almost spit on "X".

Why were the Secret Service guys moved from the sides of the car to the back right before taking off?

Why was the Bullet Proof Glass top Dome on the presidents car curiously removed that day?

During those campaign stops, if the weather was good, the top was removed from the car so that the crowds could get closer to JFK. If history is to be believed, Kenny O'Donnell made the decision regarding the top of the car when they found out that the weather would be clear in Dallas. That didn't help things, but KO certainly wasn't part of a conspiracy.


The whole Kennedy episode is something we probably will never know the complete truth about unless somewhere, somebody accidentally gives up some information or evidence that was never supposed to be made public. I always wondered why there are so many photos and so much film of practically every inch of Kennedy's trip and motorcade, EXCEPT when he went through the plaza and was killed ?? The only film was taken by accident by a couple of people with their own private cameras. Just an accident - probably not.


Kennedy had said that Hoover was King and he was just the president. Hoover didn't like Kennedy and Kennedy had threatened to shut down the CIA. The Kennedy's were arresting mob officials who had helped him get elected. He made a lot of powerful enemy's in America. I'm confident that Oswald fired shots from the depository. Although the head was fired from a different location. It's not possible to have half your head blown off and have it snap back in the direction of the shot was fired from.


The CIA covered up because the trail would've led to their assassination attempts of Castro period, not because they were in the conspiracy to kill JFK. The New Orleans Mob did it without the permission of the Commission because of the fear Robert Kennedy was going to deport their Godfather. Oswald was a convenient foil. Ruby was one of their associates who was used to shut Oswald up. It was known at the time, but the coverup was successful because everyone who knew had a reason to keep silent. Hoover was being blackmailed by the Mob, RFK was the damn cause so he was staying silent, the Mob Commission wasn't going to sell out Marcello.


For me (age 61), the Kennedy assassination remains the most public mystery of my life. I have read many sources that suggest all sorts of conspiracies surrounding that fateful day. I would strongly suggest that the most conclusive and fact based book I have read is titled "Ultimate Sacrifice" by Lamar Waldron released in 2008. What's interesting about this book is it references declassified CIA files throughout and where it makes a "leap of faith" in connecting events, it states so. Ironically everything mentioned in this article is in the book. The ending/final conclusion will make a lot of sense after having read the facts presented. I was so taken aback by the book that I attempted to discuss the assassination with my 30 year old daughter. I was hoping to elicit some of the same angst and dismay I had with the lack of a "legitimate" Government response. She replied, and I quote: "Dad, that's ancient history, no one really cares'...and only then did it hit me...That's Exactly What They (those responsible) Were Counting On....

I'd say 911 easily dispatches the Kennedy assassination quite handily, only since the consideration, "What Patriot Act, Homeland Security, Iraq war, subsequent wars on Ideologies rather than Nations" did necessarily result? I'd also suggest had we not had the 8 years of warmongering following the 911 we would never have had a Black President, win so handily to receive through his message and dedication to common ground, win the Nobel Prize. I'd also suggest the theft of the Nation's solvency in 1913 by the Central Bank private interests easily dispatches the 911, since voluntary servitude does come at a price, paid with "the good faith and credit of the United States."

They will never reveal the truth. How do we even know that the declassified reports are really what they're telling us? Can we see the reports online? Does the government write the reports then put them away saying, "Okay, we will let the world know the truth 100 years from now!"?
As long as the Bush family and LBJ family are still alive, those involved will do whatever they can to protect them. We will probably know the 100% truth after 200 years have gone by because by that time, just like atrue42long said, nobody will even care.. When nobody cares they won't try to redeem anything or protest or anything else. Are we mad that Lincoln was assassinated? Why? I have always believed that, Oswald was just what he said he was, "a patsy". I think he worked for the CIA as a double agent, or was at least led to believe he did. He was groomed for several years for this role and in the end, when he was in custody you could almost see the disbelief in his face when he realized he was going to be sacrificed. When you read all the thousands of pages of the various reports on this subject, one of the things that has never made any sense is, for a guy described as a total nobody and loser, he was surrounded by people with various ties to the CIA.

Jack Ruby DID have Mob connections and he assassinated Oswald... what are the odds that two people would try to assassinate the assassin? What a completely amazing coincidence.

Trained military and police officers have stated in court documents (where if they are lying they can be convicted of perjury) that shots came from the book depository AND the grassy knoll.

People saw someone running away from the grassy knoll and they pointed him out.

The Mob, the CIA, the bankers, Castro, and the USSR all did NOT like JFK. The military industrial complex didn't like that he was gonna decrease the Vietnam War. JFK was a good man, but he made a lot of enemies as he fought for what was right for the American People.

Conclusion: The CIA and FBI are very very good at keeping secrets and they are also very good at permanently silencing those who don't. They covered up the JFK Assassination. He was probably murdered by the Mob. But they have a lot of secrets that they haven't told us about.

They had been called off and were 15-20 yards behind the car carrying Kennedy. Third I am sure from the autopsy photos we can now say without a doubt there were multiple shooters, finally the person (Lee Harvey Oswald) who shot Kennedy was killed while in police custody then the shooter of Oswald ( Jack Ruby) was sentenced to death and executed so he could not expose the conspiracy and assassination.


The United States cannot wait as long as this case is taking to unravel with regard to the 9/11 cover-up!! Wake up and demand the truth, else they will continue to degrade and destroy the USA. I was in the first grade the year JFK was killed and home sick from school that day. My Mom & I were watching TV (As The World Turns) when CBS switched to Walter Cronkite in the news room to report that the president had been shot. We watched the news unfold throughout the afternoon and I have always been amazed at how much information about Oswald was so quickly made available to the public that day in 1963, almost like his dossier was already sitting on Walter's desk as the event occurred.

Concerning Kennedy's assassination, the Zagruder film shows clearly that Kennedy's head is knocked sharply backward when the bullet struck. Also, many spectators looked to the grassy knoll. A sophist may convince the naive that this is possible, that is, one's head can be moved in a direction opposite to the travel of the bullet, but simply lay a round gourd on a flat surface, shoot it at the same angle and place of entry and see which way it rolls.
Concerning 9/11, billions of people witnessed three buildings fall completely consistent with a controlled demolition, and completely inconsistent with any other explanation. Hundreds of spectators reported hearing explosions, private investigators have found traces of thermite, yet most Americans believe the garbage which the U.S. government disseminates.
Given that high political figures have lied consistently, many times about relatively trivial matters ( I never had sex with that woman, your president is not a #$%$, etc. ) it is odd indeed that they can continue to dupe the majority of the citizens of this country with success and impunity concerning matters of extreme gravity.

I'm rather confused. Most of this was already known. This isn't news and it wasn't "released" in 2013. It was available well before this. To say, somehow, this is worth a new story is just a good indication journalism, much like Kennedy, is long dead. But... it draws an exact portrayal of what happens in our government. Go see it, and you will walk out with a better understanding of what's been going on in our country for several generations.Not a single doubt in my mind that everything that happened in that movie, has happened on a regular basis for years.


This article says nothing that is not already known about Oswald. It is documented that Hoover knew who Oswald was 3 years before the assassination. Hoover somehow knew before anyone in Dallas that they had there man. Not even two hours passed and he knew it was Oswald. How is that possible? Forget Oswald for a bit and look at the facts. The murder was successful but the cover-up is where things went wrong and its painfully obvious. This is FACT: No gunpowder residue found on Oswald. No prints found on the rifle. Two shells not three found in snipers nest. A third shell just happened to pop up days later when a policeman said he placed one in his pocket and forgot about it for days!!!! The snipers nest was restaged for photos as there are photos showing different placement of boxes. He didn't do it.


You mean the same way the 9/11 commission was mislead? Or in on it? Wake the #$%$ up America. The American government is an entity all its own. A mafia. Oswald DIDN'T ACT AT ALL! He probably wasn't even aware of the plot. He was picked specifically by the group of assassins (members of various groups - CIA, FBI, secret service, military) while in Russia, where he was acting as a US intelligence agent in a program where agents defected to the USSR to disseminate false information (hence his pro-Castro BS to convince the Russians of his sincerity). Allowed to reenter in record time (1 or 2 days, which was UNHEARD OF!), he was placed in position and his cover changed to the opposite, i.e. anti Castro.
He was not at the window when JFK was shot but in the cafeteria (in the building where he was conveniently employed in a job procured by the traitorous group) having a Coke. He was taken by surprise when he heard the news and realized that HE WAS THE PATSY ( which was pretty much the only thing he told the press, still acting the patriotic spy persona).
He did not shoot officer Tibbit either. Generally, assassins are proud of their deed and do not proclaim their innocence and never say they are patsies.

Anyone who believes that Oswald could have made that shot at that distance and gotten off three shots is an idiot, plain and simple. There were MIB at the autopsy (part of the presidents head was already blown off) directing the procedure, which was performed by doctors who had NO EXPERIENCE IN AUTOPSIES AT ALL AND WERE SET TO RETIRE!

Just watch the movie "JFK" - Oliver Stone got it right - on the nose! Also see the series "The Men Who Killed Kennedy" where, in an episode that one can't find anymore(!), the reporter who searched for the actual killer, found and interviewed him in a S.American prison!

PS. RFK was shot from INCHES away by a bodyguard who was replacing another and was hired THAT VERY DAY! Sirhan Sirhan WAS ANOTHER PATSY! His handlers were seen running down the back stairs after RFK was shot.

Even the inventor of the electric light, Thomas Edison, joined the fray in criticizing the system of the Federal Reserve:

"If our nation can issue a dollar bond, it can issue a dollar bill. The element that makes the bond good, makes the bill good, also... It is absurd to say that our country can issue $30 million in bonds and not $30 million in currency. Both are promises to pay, but one promise fattens the userers and the other helps the people. "

Three years after the passage of the Federal Reserve Act, even President Wilson began to have second thoughts about what he had unleashed during his first term in office.

"We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled governments in the civilized world - no longer a government of free opinion, no longer a government by ... a vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men. Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it."

Before his death in 1924, President Wilson realized the full extent of the damage he had done to America, when he sadly confessed: "I have unwittingly ruined my government."

So finally, the Money Changers, those who profit by creating and manipulating the amount of money in circulation, had their privately owned central bank installed again in America. The major newspapers (which they owned or heavily influenced through their advertising) hailed passage of the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, telling the public that "now depressions could be scientifically prevented."
The fact of the matter was that now depressions could be scientifically initiated.

By bribery, deceitful political manipulation and abuse of their press influence and ownership, they had usurped the monetary function of government. The U.S. government was left with only trivial relics of its sovereign monetary power: the minting of coins (a tiny fraction of the money supply, but a debt-free one); the re-printing of Lincoln's U.S. notes (Greenbacks, but limited to $300,000,000 total); and issuing a limited number of gold and silver certificates.

As Mr. James Rand, former President of Remington Rand, Inc. well said:

"No government should permit such coercive power over its own credit to be held by any one group or class as the privately owned Federal Reserve System holds today. No government should delegate to private interests the control over the purchasing power of money. The issue must be faced and settled. There can be no complete restoration of confidence until the conflict between private and government control over money is ended."

The 5th American Bank War ended in victory for the Money Changers and the defeat of the American people. I n the interim, the Money Changers' grip has gradually tightened, hiding this history, propagandizing our people to support their various nefarious activities through their media control, and choking our liberties by degrees. Economic power was now centralized to a tremendous extent. Now it was time for a war - a really big war - in fact, the first World War. Of course, as the central bankers knew, nothing creates debts like warfare. England was the best example up to that time. During the 119-year period between the founding of the Bank of England and Napoleon's defeat at Waterloo, England had been at war for 56 years. And much of the remaining time, she'd been preparing for war.

In World War I, the German Rothschilds loaned money to the Germans, the British Rothschilds loaned money to the British, and the French Rothschilds loaned money to the French. It was all highly profitable.
In America, J.P. Morgan was the sales agent for war materials to both the British and the French. In fact, six months into the war, Morgan became the largest consumer on earth, spending $10 million a day. His offices at 23 Wall Street were mobbed by brokers and salesmen trying to cut a deal. In fact, it got so bad that the bank had to post guards at every door and at the partners' homes as well.

Other Rothschild allies in the United States made out as well from the war. President Wilson appointed Bernard Baruch to head the War Industries Board. According to historian James Perloff, both Baruch and the Rockefellers profited by some $200 million during the war.

But profits were not the only motive. There was also revenge and power. The Money Changers never forgave the Czars for their opposition nor for supporting Lincoln during the Civil War. Also, Russia was the last major European nation to refuse to give in to the privately-owned central bank scheme.

Three years after World War I broke out, the Russian Revolution toppled the Czar. Jacob Schiff of Kuhn, Loeb & Company bragged on his deathbed that he had spent $20 million towards the defeat of the Czar. But the truth was that much of that money funded the communist coup d'etat replacing the democratically elected Kerensky regime, which had replaced the Czar months earlier.

The bankers were not so much enemies of the Czar, as they were intent on seizing power in Russia, through the Bolsheviks. Three gold shipments in 1920 alone, from Lenin to Kuhn, Loeb & Company and Morgan Guaranty Trust repaid the $20 million to the bankers, and this was just a small down payment.

But would some of the richest men in the world financially back communism, the system that was openly vowing to destroy the so-called capitalism that made them wealthy? Communism, like plutocracy, is a product of capitalism. Researcher Gary Allen explained it was this way:

"If one understands that socialism is not a share-the-wealth program, but is in reality a method to consolidate and control the wealth, then the seeming paradox of super-rich men promoting socialism becomes no paradox at all. Instead, it becomes logical, even the perfect tool for power-seeking megalomaniacs. Communism or more accurately, socialism, is not a
movement of the downtrodden masses, but of the economic elite."

As W. Cleon Skousen put it in his 1970 book The Naked Capitalist:

"Power from any source tends to create an appetite for additional power... It was almost inevitable that the super-rich would one day aspire to control not only their own wealth, but the wealth of the whole world. To achieve this, they were perfectly willing to feed the ambitions of the power-hungry political conspirators who were committed to the overthrow of all existing governments and the establishment of a central world-wide dictatorship."

But what if these revolutionaries get out of control and try to seize power from the Money Changers? After all, it was Mao Tse-tung who in 1938 stated his position concerning power:

"Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun."

The London/Wall Street axis elected to take the risk. The master-planners attempted to control revolutionary communist groups by feeding them vast quantities of money when they obeyed, and contracting their money supply, or even financing their opposition or fascist parties in bordering nations, if they got out of control. Lenin began to understand that although he was the dictator of the new Soviet Union, he was not pulling the financial strings, someone else was silently in control:

"The state does not function as we desired. The car does not obey. A man is at the wheel and seems to lead it, but the car does not drive in the desired direction. It moves as another force wishes."

Who was behind it?
Rep. Louis T. McFadden, the Chairman of the House Banking and Currency Committee throughout the 1920s and into the Great Depression years of the 1930s, explained it this way:

"The course of Russian history has, indeed, been greatly affected by the operations of international bankers... The Soviet Government has been given United States Treasury funds by the Federal Reserve Board ... acting through the Chase Bank England has drawn money from us through the Federal Reserve banks and has re-lent it at high rates of interest to the Soviet Government... The Dnieperstory Dam was built with funds unlawfully taken from the United States Treasury by the corrupt and dishonest Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Reserve banks."

In other words, the Fed and the Bank of England, along with their controlling stock-holders, the Rothschilds, Rockefellers,Morgans, Schiffs, Warburgs, etc., were creating a monster, one which would fuel seven decades of unprecedented Communist revolution, warfare, and most importantly - debt.

2003 article by Melvin Sickler; snipped [ No United States president since Abraham Lincoln dared to go against the system and create his own money, as many of these so-called elected presidents were actually only instruments or puppets of the Bankers. That is until President John F. Kennedy came into office.
President Kennedy was not afraid to “buck the system”, for he understood how the Federal Reserve System was being used to destroy the United States. As a just and honorable man, he could not tolerate such a system, for it smelled corruption from A to Z. Certainly he must have known about the Greenbacks which Abraham Lincoln created when he was in office.
On June 4th, 1963, President Kennedy signed a presidential document, called Executive Order 11110, which further amended Executive Order 10289 of September 19th, 1951. This gave Kennedy, as President of the United States, legal clearance to create his own money to run the country, money that would belong to the people, an Interest and debt-free money. He had printed United States Notes, completely ignoring the Federal Reserve Notes from the private banks of the Federal Reserve.
Our records show that Kennedy issued $4,292,893,825 of cash money. It was perfectly obvious that Kennedy was out to undermine the Federal Reserve System of the United States.
But it was only a few months later, In November of 1963, that the world received the shocking news of President Kennedy's assassination. No reason was given of course for anyone wanting to commit such an atrocious crime. But for those who knew anything about money and banking, it did not take long to put the pieces of the puzzle together. For surely, President Kennedy must have had It in mind to repeal the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, and return back to the United States Congress the power to create its own money.
It is interesting to note that, only one day after Kennedy's assassination, all the United States notes, which Kennedy had issued, were called out of circulation. Was this through an executive order of the newly installed president, Lyndon B. Johnson? Was President Johnson afraid of the Bankers? Or was he one of their instruments? At any rate, all of the money President Kennedy had created was destroyed. And not a word was said to the American people.

A lesson to learn
There is much that can be learned from our past history. Here we are in 2003, and the United States is still operating under the Federal Reserve System. It has already plunged this country over six trillion dollars into debt – Federal debt, (the total debt, including that of individuals and corporations, is over 20 trillion) a debt it will never be able to pay, and has been responsible for every kind corruption imaginable. Yet, barely a peep of protest can be heard from the American people.
All the Bankers have to do to keep their power is to get rid of the few politicians who are honestly working for a reform in our economic system, and the people at large remain ignorant and controlled. It is obvious the American people need to be awakened to the truth.
The population at large must be educated on the Federal Reserve, and then unite together to put pressure on the Government to get the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 repealed. Otherwise, it will spell disaster for the United States.
There can be no peace without justice, and there can be no justice without a reform in our economic system, for the financiers are behind all the corruption in our Government.
Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy both had the courage to stand up for principles and to fight for justice. They have both gone down in history as being true patriots of the United States. But do we, as citizens, have the courage to follow their example?

The U.S. citizen (tenant, franchisee) was registered as a “beneficiary” of the trust via his/her birth certificate. In 1933, the federal United States hypothecated all of the present and future properties, assets and labor of their “subjects,” the 14th Amendment U.S. citizen, to the Federal Reserve System.

In return, the Federal Reserve System agreed to extend the federal United States Corporation all the credit “money substitute” it needed. Like any other debtor, the federal United States government had to assign collateral and security to their creditors as a condition of the loan. Since the federal United States didn't have any assets, they assigned the private property of their “economic slaves”, the U.S. citizens as collateral against the unplayable federal debt. They also pledged the unincorporated federal territories, national parks forests, birth certificates, and nonprofit organizations, as collateral against the federal debt. On June 4, 1963, a little known attempt was made to strip the Federal Reserve Bank of its power to loan money to the government at interest. On that day President John F. Kennedy signed Executive Order No. 11110 that returned to the U.S. government the power to issue currency, without going through the Federal Reserve. Mr. Kennedy's order gave the Treasury the power "to issue silver certificates against any silver bullion, silver, or standard silver dollars in the Treasury." This meant that for every ounce of silver in the U.S. Treasury's vault, the government could introduce new money into circulation. In all, Kennedy brought nearly $4.3 billion in U.S. notes into circulation. The ramifications of this bill are enormous.

With the stroke of a pen, Mr. Kennedy was on his way to putting the Federal Reserve Bank of New York out of business. If enough of these silver certificats were to come into circulation they would have eliminated the demand for Federal Reserve notes. This is because the silver certificates are backed by silver and the Federal Reserve notes are not backed by anything. Executive Order 11110 could have prevented the national debt from reaching its current level, because it would have given the gevernment the ability to repay its debt without going to the Federal Reserve and being charged interest in order to create the new money. Executive Order 11110 gave the U.S. the ability to create its own money backed by silver.

After Mr. Kennedy was assassinated just five months later, no more silver certificates were issued. The Final Call has learned that the Executive Order was never repealed by any U.S. President through an Executive Order and is still valid. Why then has no president utilized it? Virtually all of the nearly $6 trillion in debt has been created since 1963, and if a U.S. president had utilized Executive Order 11110 the debt would be nowhere near the current level. Perhaps the assassination of JFK was a warning to future presidents who would think to eliminate the U.S. debt by eliminating the Federal Reserve's control over the creation of money. Mr. Kennedy challenged the government of money by challenging the two most successful vehicles that have ever been used to drive up debt - war and the creation of money by a privately-owned central bank. His efforts to have all troops out of Vietnam by 1965 and Executive Order 11110 would have severely cut into the profits and control of the New York banking establishment."
