There is an Islamic Apocalyptic Jihad Worldwide Guided by Prophesies Written After Muhammad's Death, Which are Heavily Borrowed from the Book of Revelation

The doomsday ideology of ISIS

The terror group’s apocalyptic vision, heavily borrowed from the Book of Revelation, is a powerful recruiting pitch.

November 22, 2015

Yahoo News - In a boastful press release after the Paris attacks that left 130 dead earlier in the month, ISIS celebrated its “victory” over the city it called the “lead carrier of the cross.”
“Allah granted victory upon their hands and cast terror into the hearts of the crusaders in their very own homeland,” the group wrote.
The medieval language is a glimpse into the terror group’s little-discussed apocalyptic ideology, one that draws on prophecies written after Muhammad’s death that were used to motivate Muslims to battle by caliphs [an important Muslim political and religious leader; a successor of Muhammad as temporal and spiritual head of Islam] who lived more than a thousand years ago. While al-Qaida occasionally hinted at these doomsday writings foretelling a grand battle with infidels at the end of the world, ISIS has made them the bedrock of its brand.

These prophecies are so entwined with ISIS’ identity that the group has pasted a line from one of them — “a Caliphate in Accordance with the Prophetic Method” — on the coins it has minted, on the badges soldiers wear and even on a billboard marking the beginning of ISIS territory. In that prophecy, Muhammad said that after a “tyrannical monarchy,” an Islamic caliphate would return [the rule or reign of a chief Muslim ruler]. The formation of the caliphate would lead to a grand battle with the West that would bring along the end of the world.
Editor's Note: This 'tryanical monarchy' parallels the kingdom ruled over by Antichrist at the end of the world as described in the book of Revelation.
The prophecies ISIS relies on were written dozens and sometimes hundreds of years after Muhammad’s death and are not included in the Quran, as Brookings scholar Will McCants explains in his book “The ISIS Apocalypse.” But the prophecies are widespread and believed by manyone poll in 2012 suggested half of Arabs believed the end of the world was nigh.
Editor's Note: Many Christians also believe the end of the world is nigh.
In ISIS’ interpretation, the figure of the Mahdi will appear after the establishment of an Islamic caliphate. (Medieval caliphs, attempting to gin up support for their own battles against the Christian crusaders, claimed to be the Mahdi in the past.) The Mahdi, “the rightly guided one,” will appear in northern Syria before the end of days to lead final battles against the Western infidels, called Rome. In some of the Islamic prophecies, Jesus descends from the heavens to assist the Mahdi in his battle against the infidels, who are led by an Antichrist figure. After the day of judgment, only those who supported the Mahdi will be saved.
Editor's Note: The bible says that Jesus Christ will return in the clouds of heaven, along with his army from heaven (the believers who die in the Lord at the sounding of the sixth and seventh trumpets and who are resurrected to eternal life at the pouring of the seventh vial, as well as the saints who died in the Lord before the tribulation of those days) to defeat Antichrist: "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever."
ISIS leadership has made key military decisions based upon these prophecies. It fought in the summer of 2014 to take over the small and militarily unimportant village of Dabiq close to Turkey because it is name-checked in one of the prophecies as a place where the final great battles will occur. The infidels are supposed to gather under “80 flags” in this village, before their defeat. (Dabiq is also the name of ISIS’ monthly magazine.)
Editor's Note: The bible describes the final battle as Armageddon. The heathen nations and the nominally Christian world will ultimately gather as separate forces for the last war, which will be a world war in the strictest sense of the word (the battle of Armageddon). Looking upon the nominally Christian world, which in fact will be an anti-Christian civilization, the heathen nations shall do as the nations of the old dispensation did with respect to Jerusalem; that is, they shall say: "Let us go up to Jerusalem; let Zion be defiled; let our eye look upon Zion!" And again the Lord will use the hostile spirit of the heathen nations to destroy the anti-Christian power.
ISIS’ claim that the apocalypse is nigh is a powerful recruitment tool, not unlike an “Act now! 24 hours only!” sales pitch [the word 'apocalypse' is not in the bible].
“The belief that the end of the world is coming and you’re going to be fighting on the side of the good guys when the world ends is a powerful motivator,” McCants told Yahoo News. “Young people going to join [ISIS] believe they are participating in a apocalyptic prophecy.”
“The really interesting thing here from the psychological perspective is the sense of urgency,” said John Horgan, a psychologist and terrorism expert at Georgia State University.
“They’re sending the message that the forces of evil are about to reach their goals so you need to act now rather than later. You don’t have the luxury of waiting for this to happen.”
It’s unknown if the leadership of ISIS really believes in these prophecies or is simply using them to establish legitimacy in the eyes of their supporters. ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has a Ph.D. in Quranic studies.

McCants tracked down examples of ISIS supporters and members trying to fit current events into the murky and sometimes conflicting timeline of the prophecies.
Thirty states remain to complete the number of eighty flags that will gather in Dabiq and begin the battle,” one jihadi Tweeted, seemingly waiting for more nations to sign on to fight ISIS before the last grand battle could occur and usher in the end of the world.
One can imagine ISIS leaders running into trouble if their apocalyptic vision takes too long and supporters begin asking questions and become impatient.
“Part of why ISIS is trying to goad the West into action is it’s a critical part of fulfilling their prophecies,” Horgan said.
The group has also refrained from explicitly calling its leader al-Baghdadi the Mahdi, which means its followers know they have to wait for him to appear before the world is ending.

Sunni and Shiite beliefs about the Mahdi diverge in one key way: Sunni Islam, the branch of the religion ISIS adheres to, posits that the Mahdi, the prophet’s successor, has yet to come. According to the Shiite tradition, the Mahdi came but will remain hidden until he brings justice to the world.

That fighters believe they are fulfilling a grand destiny helps explain why thousands of them have been willing to leave more comfortable lives in nations all around the world to join the dangerous and reviled group.
“It’s definitely more cultlike than al-Qaida,” said Karen Greenberg, the director of Fordham’s Center on National Security. “It’s got all the accouterments of a cult.”

ISIS Background

“America counts millions of Muslims amongst our citizens, and Muslims make an incredibly valuable contribution to our country,” he said. “Muslims are doctors, lawyers, law professors, members of the military, entrepreneurs, shopkeepers, moms and dads. And they need to be treated with respect. In our anger and emotion, our fellow Americans must treat each other with respect.” Who said that? President George W. Bush, when he visited the Islamic Center of Washington six days after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. “The face of terror is not the true faith of Islam,” Bush said, as anti-Muslim sentiment began to percolate in a country devastated by the death of about 3,000 people. “That’s not what Islam is all about. Islam is peace. These terrorists don’t represent peace. They represent evil and war.” Yet in the week since the Paris attacks, the American conversation has escalated with frightening and jaw-dropping speed to include registration of U.S. Muslims, internment camps, closed borders. The tone is actually worse than it was after the Sept. 11 attacks on our own soil. Registration by religion? Sounds like Nazi Germany, not a country with a First Amendment that enshrines freedom of religion. Why are we degenerating so quickly and so far from our country’s founding values? Because it’s an election year. And political leaders — egged on by the grandstanding and lies of Donald Trump — are peddling fear like it’s a miracle drug. In communities across America, we are turning on each other, on the very neighbors who have been part of the fabric of our country for decades. [Washington Post]

ISIS has become more dangerous to the world. It killed 27 in Kuwait City, 38 in Sousse, 43 in Beirut, and 224 in the air over Sinai, all in the months before killing 130 in Paris. Even if ISIS loses its "caliphate" in Syria and Iraq, it seems all but certain it will revert to what it was before, when it was known as al-Qaeda in Iraq: an insurgency and terrorist group. In that incarnation, it killed thousands and helped turn the US-led invasion of Iraq into a civil war. ISIS's weaknesses are numerous. It has deliberately made an enemy of every nation on Earth.

It is a movement widely reviled by even the Sunni Muslims it purports to represent. It's funded by little more than bank robbery and extortion. Yet despite all this, ISIS is a problem that the world seems unable to solve. Why? ISIS has many fathers — America's Iraq invasion and Saudi Arabia's long-running cultivation of extremism especially — but none whose role was quite so deliberate as Assad's regime in Syria. Assad did not specifically construct the Islamic State, nor does he appear to exercise any control over the group, which after all loathes Assad and explicitly seeks a genocide against his Alawite religious sect. But a long trail of evidence suggests that he did deliberately and consciously cultivate the Sunni jihadist movement in both Syria and Iraq.

Many analysts believe that Assad allowed ISIS to rise in Syria, and now tolerates its presence, as an insurance policy to keep the world from pushing him out. In early 2014, ISIS and al-Qaeda formally split, and ISIS focused not on fighting Assad but on fighting other rebel groups for control of their territory. The Syrian conflict became a three-sided war. Assad tolerated ISIS, focusing instead on the rebels who were their mutual enemies and thus helping ISIS to grow in strength. ISIS's rise served Assad in two ways: It squeezed the anti-Assad rebels, and it shaped the war as a choice between Assad and terrorists. Syria's rebels are focused primarily on fighting Assad, and Assad the rebels. For both of them, ISIS is a distraction. The war between Assad and the rebels is a gift to ISIS, because it pits the groups who would otherwise most threaten ISIS against one another and distracts them from fighting ISIS. The Assad-rebel war means there is no viable ground force that can take ISIS's Syrian territory away from it. Because Assad is the primary driver of the civil war, and because the civil war sustains ISIS, then as long as Assad remains, so will ISIS. No amount of anti-ISIS bombing campaigns or Kurdish assaults will change this.

This does not mean that the solution to ISIS is to remove Assad by force, to topple his regime outright. In fact, this would almost certainly make the problem far worse. US and other powers have pushed to remove Assad peacefully, in a negotiated peace deal between the government and the rebels. This would allow the state institutions to stay in place, averting a total implosion, while also removing the person who is most driving the war.

Iran, an officially Shia nation, does not support Assad so much out of religious comity — while Alawites consider themselves Shia, many Shia consider them heretics — as out of strategic interests that happen to line up with sectarianism. Since at least the early 2000s, Iran has been in a growing struggle for regional influence with Saudi Arabia and other Gulf Sunni states. While it was never inevitable that the Middle East would come to split along Sunni-Shia lines, that is its status today. As a result, Iran believes that it needs an Alawite government in Syria to retain its influence there, for which it gets not just a strategically placed ally against the Sunni powers but also a buffer against Israel and a land route by which to arm anti-Israel groups in Lebanon and Gaza. Iran thus fears, with good reason, that if Assad falls, he will be replaced by a Sunni government (Syria, after all, is mostly Sunni) that will align with the other Sunni states. Iran would not just lose a crucial ally, it would likely gain yet another adversary in the region. That is why it is fighting so hard to keep him lodged in power.

Syria, which is under sectarian Alawite minority rule, has a population that is about three-quarters Sunni. Unlike Iran, Russia does not need the Syrian government to be sectarian and minority-rule in order for it to get what it wants. If the biggest hurdle to defeating ISIS is Assad, then the biggest hurdle to removing Assad is Iran. A greater US military presence in Syria would, if anything, encourage more Iranian involvement, allowing hard-liners in Tehran to sell the war as a necessary fight against American imperialism and risking a repeat of the Iraq War, where Iran supported Shia insurgent groups so as to bog down the US. The Chronological Order of the Book of Revelation [Excerpt]

The book of Revelation repeatedly follows the development of the world to its very end from a certain point of view in order, and it then resumes the drawing of the same picture from a different viewpoint (note the "interludes"). The following is an excerpted chapter-by-chapter outline of the book of Revelation based on the King James Bible (chapter numbers are in parentheses). Scripture is enclosed in quotation marks; other text not in quotes is commentary from the book "Behold He Cometh" by Herman Hoeksema, copyright 1969.

THE SOUNDING OF THE 7th TRUMPET: THE TIME HAS COME FOR GOD TO JUDGE THE DEAD AND TO GIVE REWARD UNTO HIS SERVANTS (11)

A Cloudy and Dark Day: Great Earthquake, Voices from Heaven, Temple of God Opened in Heaven, Lightning, Voices, Thunder, Great Hail, Sun Darkened, Moon Darkened, Stars Fall from Heaven, Heaven and Earth Shaken"

And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, 'The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever.' And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, saying, 'We give Thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because Thou hast taken to Thee Thy great power, and hast reigned. And the nations were angry, and Thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that Thou shouldest give reward unto Thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear Thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.' And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in His temple the ark of His testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail."

INTERLUDE: CHRIST, THE LAMB, VERSUS SATAN, THE DRAGON (12,13)

CHRIST REAPS THE HARVEST OF THE EARTH (14)

"And I [John] heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, 'Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.' And I [John] looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud One sat like unto the Son of man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him that sat on the cloud, 'Thrust in Thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for Thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.' And He that sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped."
"Let them grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, 'Gather ye together first the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn'... The tares are the children of the wicked one; the enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world." (Matthew 13:30,38-40)
THE AVENGING ANGEL & THE JUDGMENT OF THE GREAT WHORE: THE 7 VIALS OF GOD'S WRATH POURED OUT UPON THE UNJUST ON EARTH (15,16)

Grievous Sores upon the Ungodly; Sea, Rivers and Waters Turn to Blood; Ungodly Scorched with Fire; Seat of the Beast and His Kingdom Full of Darkness: They Gnaw Their Tongues for Pain; River Euphrates Dried Up for the Kings of the East

"And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. And I [John] saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon."
"And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great."
THE RESURRECTION OF THE JUST AND THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB (17,18,19)

Christ Delivers Up the Just to the Kingdom of Heaven for the Final and Complete Union of the Church of All Ages
"And I [John] heard another voice from heaven, saying, 'Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities... Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her."
"Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD." (Amos 8:11)
"Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved." (Romans 9:27)

"Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace." (Romans 11:5)
"Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her'... And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth... I [John] heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, 'Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God; for true and righteous are His judgments: for He hath judged the great whore'... And I [John] heard as it were the voice of a great multitude... saying, 'Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.' And He saith unto me, 'Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb'."
CHRIST AND HIS ARMY OF SAINTS PREPARE TO COME FROM HEAVEN IN GLORY FOR THE FINAL JUDGMENT OF THE NATIONS GATHERED IN BATTLE (19)
"And I [John] saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon Him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He doth judge and make war... And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean... And I [John] saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, 'Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; that ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great'."
THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON - THE HEATHEN NATIONS, GOG AND MAGOG, APPEAR UPON THE SCENE LAST (19,20)

Gog is mentioned in nine verses of the Bible, seven of which are in the book of Ezekiel, chapters 38 and 39 (the other verses are in 1st Chronicles and Revelation). Magog is mentioned in five verses of the Bible, twice in Ezekiel (once in chapter 38 and once in chapter 39) and once each in Genesis, 1st Chronicles and Revelation. Gog and Magog together are mentioned in only two Bible verses: Ezekiel 38:2 and Revelation 20:8. In Revelation 20:8, Gog and Magog are mentioned in the same sentence as "the thousand years" expiring, when "Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, and shall go out to deceive the nations."
"And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 'Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him'." (Ezekiel 38:2)
"And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, and shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea." (Revelation 20:7-8)
"Thus saith the Lord GOD:
In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?
And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts,
Thou, and many people with thee,
All of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:
And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land;
It shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land,
That the heathen may know me,
When I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.
Thus saith the Lord GOD:
Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel,
Which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?
And it shall come to pass at the same time
When Gog shall come against the land of Israel,
Saith the Lord GOD,
That my fury shall come up in my face.
For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken,
Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;
So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven,
And the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth,
And all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence,
And the mountains shall be thrown down,

And the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.
And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains,
Saith the Lord GOD:
Every man's sword shall be against his brother.
And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood;
And I will rain upon him, and upon his bands,
And upon the many people that are with him,

An overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself;
And I will be known in the eyes of many nations,
And they shall know that I am the LORD
."
(Ezekiel 38:14-23)

"And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles:
And they shall know that I am the LORD.
So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel;
And I will not let them pollute my holy name any more:
And the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.
Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD;
This is the day whereof I have spoken
.
And I will set my glory among the heathen,
And all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed,
And my hand that I have laid upon them.
So the house of Israel shall know
That I am the LORD their God from that day and forward.
And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity:
Because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them,
And gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.
According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, And hid my face from them.
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD:
Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob,
And have mercy upon the whole house of Israel,
And will be jealous for my holy name;
After that they have borne their shame,
And all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me,
When they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.
When I have brought them again from the people,
And gathered them out of their enemies' lands
,
And am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;
Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God,
Which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen:

But I have gathered them unto their own land,
And have left none of them any more there
.
Neither will I hide my face any more from them:
For I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD."
(Ezekiel 39:6-8,21-29)
"For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel." (Romans 9:6)

"And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, 'It is done'." (Revelation 16:17)
THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON – THE BEAST AND FALSE PROPHET ARE CAST ALIVE INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE; FIRE COMES DOWN FROM GOD OUT OF HEAVEN TO SLAY THE DECEIVED WHO RECEIVED THE MARK OF THE BEAST AND WORSHIPED HIS IMAGE [THE REST OF THE DEAD]; THE LAST ENEMY THAT SHALL BE DESTROYED IS DEATH [THAT OLD SERPENT, CALLED THE DEVIL AND SATAN] (19,20)
"And I [John] saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him that sat on the horse, and against His army. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshiped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the remnant were slain with the sword of Him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of His mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh."
INTERLUDE: CHRIST BINDS SATAN AND CASTS HIM INTO THE BOTTOMLESS PIT FOR 'A THOUSAND YEARS,' AFTER WHICH HE SHALL BE LOOSED 'A LITTLE SEASON' (20)
In a vision, John sees Christ, who has the keys of hell and of death, bind Satan for a thousand years and cast him into the bottomless pit. Immediately after this, John sees the resurrected saints in heaven, who lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. Then John tells us that, when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, and shall go out to deceive the nations, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle against the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire comes down from God out of heaven and devours them.

"And I [John] saw an Angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in His hand. And He laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, and cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season."

"And I [John] saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I [John] saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshiped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years."

"And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison [at the sounding of the fifth trumpet], and shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them."

"For a thousand years in Thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night." (Psalms 90:4)

"But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." (2 Peter 3:8)

"Yea, though he live a thousand years twice told, yet hath he seen no good: do not all go to one place?" (Ecclesiastes 6:6)
"And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever."

"It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." (Hebrews 9:27)
THE FINAL JUDGMENT - THEY THAT HAVE DONE EVIL [THE REST OF THE DEAD] SHALL COME FORTH UNTO THE RESURRECTION OF DAMNATION [THE SECOND DEATH] (20)
"And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I [John] saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire . This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
2 THESSALONIANS 2:1-12

Now we beseech you, brethren,
By the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ,
And by our gathering together in Him.
That you be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled,
Neither, by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us,
As that day of Christ is at hand.

Let no man deceive you by any means;
For that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first;
And that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition,

Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped;
So that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God
.

Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
For the mystery of iniquity does already work:
Only he who now lets will let, until he be taken out of the way.

And then shall the wicked be revealed,
Whom the Lord shall consume with the Spirit of His mouth,
And shall destroy with the brightness of His coming,
Even Him, whose coming is after the working of Satan

With all power and signs and lying wonders.
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish;
Because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion,
That they should believe a lie:
That they all might be damned who believe not the truth,
But had pleasure in unrighteousness.

MATTHEW CHAPTER 24

And I [John] saw another Mighty Angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon His head, and His face was as it were the sun, and His feet as pillars of fire. (Revelation 10:1)

And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple:
And His disciples came to Him for to shew Him the buildings of the temple.
And Jesus said unto them,
"See ye not all these things? Verily I say unto you,
There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down."

And as He sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him privately,
Saying, 'Tell us, when shall these things be?
And what shall be the sign of Thy coming, and of the end of the world?'

And Jesus answered and said unto them,
"Take heed that no man deceive you.
For many shall come in my name, saying, 'I am Christ;'
And shall deceive many.
And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars:
See that ye be not troubled:
For all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet."

"For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
And there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
All these are the beginning of sorrows."

"Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you:
And ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved."

"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations;
And then shall the end come."

"When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation,
Spoken of by Daniel the prophet,
Stand in the holy place,(Whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
For then shall be great tribulation,
Such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved:
But for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened."

"Then if any man shall say unto you, 'Lo, here is Christ, or there;' believe it not.
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets,
And shall shew great signs and wonders;

Insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."

"Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you,
'Behold, He is in the desert;' go not forth:
'Behold, He is in the secret chambers;' believe it not.
For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west;
So shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together."

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days
Shall the sun be darkened,
And the moon shall not give her light,
And the stars shall fall from heaven,
And the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven:
And then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn,

And they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet,
And they shall gather together His elect from the four winds,
From one end of heaven to the other
."

"Now learn a parable of the fig tree;
When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
Verily I say unto you, 'This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.'"

"But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
For as in the days that were before the flood,
They were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage,
Until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away;
So shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come."

JEWISH TEMPLES IN JERUSALEM

The first temple was destroyed in 586 B.C.

The second temple was completed in 516 B.C., 70 years after the first temple was destroyed.

The second temple was destroyed by the Romans in 70 A.D.

Israel became a nation again in 1948 A.D.; the year 2018 A.D. will mark the 70th anniversary of Israel's rebirth as a nation.

The third temple is where Satan will sit, showing himself that he is God, to rule over his one-world government.

DANIEL 9:20-27 (WRITTEN AROUND 164 B.C., DURING THE TIME OF THE SECOND TEMPLE, WHICH WASN'T DESTROYED UNTIL 70 A.D.)

And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel,
And presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God;
Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel,
Whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly,
Touched me about the time of the evening oblation.
And he informed me, and talked with me, and said,
"O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.
At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth,
And I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved:
Therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.
Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city,
To finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity,
And to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
Know therefore and understand,
That from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince
Shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks:
The street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off
     [the crucifixion of Christ after His 3.5-year ministry - see explanation below],
But not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary;
And the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week:
And in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease
     [the crucifixion of Christ after His 3.5-year ministry - see explanation below],
And for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation,
And that determined shall be poured upon the desolate."

THE 70 WEEKS OF DANIEL HAVE ALREADY BEEN FULFILLED

The 70 weeks have already been fulfilled. The context of the 70 weeks of Daniel's prophecy is NOT about the end-times: it is about Christ's 3.5-year ministry, His crucifixion, and the turning point in Christianity around 3.5 years after His crucifixion, when Stephen was stoned to death (he became the first Christian martyr).

The “covenant” in the prophecy of the 70 weeks of Daniel was confirmed by the Messiah. The reason this is so very important is that many Pastors teach that it refers to an end-times Antichrist making a peace covenant with Israel. The framework for the concepts of the pre-tribulation rapture, the seven-year tribulation period, the need for a rebuilt Jewish temple, the Antichrist desecrating the temple, and the 3 1/2 years of Great Tribulation are all based on the premise that the covenant in Daniel 9:27 is created by an end-times Antichrist. By proving that the 70 weeks of Daniel was the Messiah coming to confirm the covenant made to the Abraham, the premise of it applying to a future Antichrist is invalidated. And thus, the foundation for all of these end-times concepts is destroyed.

The Covenant of Jesus is a perfect fit with the prophecy of Daniel’s 70 Weeks. Many modern teachers say that the pronoun ‘he’ represents an end-time Antichrist who makes a peace covenant with Israel. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that Antichrist will make, confirm, or break a covenant with anyone, let alone Israel. The pronoun ‘he’ is referring to the previous noun, ‘prince’, from verse 26. The prince is Jesus, as the word prince (nagiyd) in verse 26 is the same as in verse 25 which declares the arrival of Messiah the Prince (Jesus). There are many verses that point to Jesus confirming a covenant during His ministry, which took place during the first half of the 70 weeks of Daniel.
And He (Jesus) said to them, “For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” - Matthew 26:28
In these words we find four things which agree with the prophecy of Daniel 9:27:
  1. “the One” who was to confirm the covenant, Jesus the Messiah;
  2. “the covenant” itself, the renewed covenant made with Abraham;
  3. that which “confirmed” the covenant, the blood of Christ;
  4. those who receive the benefits of the covenant, the “many” who believe in Him as their Messiah.
These words correspond perfectly with those of the prophecy. “He shall confirm the covenant with many.”

Isaiah 49:8 foretold that the Messiah would be a covenant to His people:
Thus saith the LORD, “In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages.”
Many teachers says that the Antichrist will “create” or “make” a covenant with Israel, indicating the beginning of a covenant. But God’s word says “confirm” (also rendered “strengthen“), which tells us that the covenant was previously established. The Father made a covenant with Abraham that He would provide a lamb for their sins, Jesus Christ, the Passover Lamb of God.
“And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.” - Genesis 22:7
John the Baptist identified Messiah as the fulfillment of that promise to Abraham:
“The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” - John 1:29
Jesus confirmed that it was He who was the promised Messiah, who would ratify the covenant as the spotless Lamb of God: by his knowledge of the Words of God, by his teachings, by his miracles, by His shed blood, by His being sacrificed as the Passover Lamb, and by His resurrection.

Messiah fulfilled the promises that were made to Abraham and the Fathers of the faith. His office of priesthood is more excellent than the Levitical, because the covenant is better and established on better promises: the old covenant referred to earthly things; the new covenant, to heavenly.

The 70th week of the covenant is eternal, not just for seven years. Today’s Pastors teach that Antichrist will make a seven-year covenant with Israel, but Daniel 9:27 is not saying that the covenant only lasts for seven years. It is saying that Jesus (and His disciples) confirmed the covenant for seven years (after those seven years, the Gospel was preached to both Jews and Gentiles).

Jesus was “cut off”, crucified midway through Daniel’s 70 weeks. At the moment of His death, “the veil of the temple was torn in two” (Matthew 27:51). Why? Because this act of God signified that all animal sacrifices at that moment ceased to be of value, because the Perfect Sacrifice was offered once and for all. It fulfilled the law and the need for Levite priests to mediate for men! Because Jesus is the Mediator of the new covenant, there is no separation between us and God.

By His blood sacrifice, Jesus fulfilled the demands that God made to the Jews in Daniel 9:24:
Seventy weeks are determined for your people and for your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy.”
Jesus blood sacrifice covered over the transgressions which were committed under the old covenant, which the blood of bulls and calves could not do.  It provided reconciliation for iniquity and brought in everlasting righteousness.  It sealed up all Old Testament prophecies which pointed to their coming Messiah. Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, the sacrifice to which all the Jewish festivals and sacrifices pointed, the long awaited Messiah cried out, “It is finished!”  The Sinai covenant, with its sacrificial system, its rituals and animal sacrifices, was fulfilled.

70 weeks of Daniel's prophecy didn’t bring an end to the Jews being able to be saved: it ended the need for the religion of Judaism and the Old Covenant system, which leads to death. Jews are blinded to the Gospel and salvation under the new covenant because they refuse to read the New Testament, so a veil covers their eyes as they read the Old Testament.

What about the last 3 1/2 years of the 70 weeks of Daniel?

For 3 1/2 years after Jesus' death, His disciples continued to preach the Gospel to the Jews.

The crucifixion and resurrection would have been a great testimony to the Jews, to validate that Jesus was the Messiah who was sent to offer them a new covenant. Acts 2 testifies that many Jews came to believe in Jesus, through the disciples as witnesses:
“Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.” Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?” Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”
The early Church of Jesus Christ was formed by those of the House of Israel and the House of Judah, who accepted Jesus' new covenant.

The 70th Week of Daniel ended when Stephen the Apostle boldly accused the Jewish leaders of killing the prophets and delivering Jesus up to be killed. The Jews responded by stoning Stephen to death. The coats of Stephens killers were laid at the feet of Saul, who would soon became Paul, the Apostle to the Nations (Gentiles). And from then on, the Gospel was preached to both Jews and Gentiles:
“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” - Galations 3:28
Here’s the 70 weeks of Daniel, as fulfilled by Jesus Christ from 27-34 AD:
It starts with Jesus beginning His ministry of confirming the Abrahamic covenant.
For 3.5 years, Jesus and His disciples ministered to the House of Israel.
Midway, Jesus was crucified for our sins, ending the need for Jewish temple sacrifices.
For 3.5 years, Jesus disciples ministered to the House of Judah. Some Jews accepted Jesus as their Messiah, but most rejected Him and persecuted His disciples.
At the end of the 7 years, Stephen became the first martyr of Christianity when he was stoned to death by the Jewish leaders (36 AD), finalizing their rejection of Jesus' New Covenant.

A future 70th week of Daniel is not about the end-times: this is a deception from the Jesuits of Rome

The Antichrist is not just a man who will enter a rebuilt Jewish temple in the end times.  It is the Roman Catholic Church, which has inserted itself into the spiritual temple of Christianity by claiming to be Christian, but they are really the old Babylonian religion of Sun and Satan worshipers. That is why they are called Mystery Babylon.
“Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone, in whom the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.” - Ephesians 2:19-22
The Roman Catholic Church has been seated in the temple and proclaiming to be God since 538 A.D.  Antichrist doesn’t just mean against Christ, but it also means ‘in place of Christ.’  The Pope calls himself the ‘Vicar of Christ,’ which means substitute Christ.

The 70 Weeks of Daniel is the only prophecy that revealed the exact year that the Messiah would appear.  Other prophecies pointed to the coming Messiah, but only this one told them the exact year that He would appear. That year was 27 A.D., when Jesus was baptized and anointed — and then Jesus read from Isaiah in the temple and proclaimed that He was the Messiah.
The 70 weeks of Daniel's prophecy states that Messiah the Prince (Jesus) would appear after the 69th week (after 483 years). Calculating 483 years before 27 A.D., means that the starting point of the prophecy was 457 B.C. This matches the year that Artaxerxes decreed that the Jews were free to return to Jerusalem, and that they would receive his assistance in rebuilding the city and temple. (Ezra 7:13,20) The second temple was completed in 516 B.C., before the book of Daniel was written.
By putting the focus on an end times Antichrist it removes the amazing fulfillment of Jesus' ministry and fulfillment of Jeremiah 31:31:
“Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.”
Despite their previous idolatry and sins against God, Jesus graciously offered the Israelites salvation. The foundation of the Christian Church is built on believers who came from the house of Israel and the house of Judah.

The house of Israel and the house of Judah already returned to their land and were brought together under Jesus' new covenant.

But we have been deceived to focus on the modern state of Israel as the fulfillment of prophecy.

In the Parable of the Landowner, the Parable of the Wedding Feast and in His “Woe to you” speech against the Jewish leaders, Jesus told them that because they rejected His new covenant, delivered Him up to be killed, and killed the prophets, He would desolate them, their city and the temple. The “days of vengeance”, the “great tribulation as never has been before”,  the “time of Jacob’s trouble”, resulted in a total of 1.1 million Jews dying from famine, disease, tens of thousands by crucifixion, hundreds of thousands by infighting amongst themselves, hundreds of thousands by the Roman sword; and the rest were sold into slavery.
Jesus told the Jews, “Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’”
The Sinai Covenant has been fulfilled and there is no way to heaven except through Jesus.
“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” - Galatians 3:28
It causes Christians to not understand end times theology, so that they mistakenly support the state of Israel.

Since the Israelites regathered before Jesus first coming, there is no need for a regathering before His second coming.

Jesus told the Jews that Jerusalem would be trampled by Gentiles until the time of the Gentiles is fulfilled. But the time of the Gentiles is not over yet, so if the people in Israel are Jews, then that would make Jesus statement false.

But Jesus statement is proven true because 97% of people who call themselves Jews ARE NOT descendants of Abraham. They are Ashkenazi Jews, who are the descendants of Turkish-Mongols that converted to Judaism in the 8th century, making them Gentiles.

The deception about the 70th week being a future event causes Christians to believe that they will be raptured before they have to face the beast. Instead of being prepared, they will run around like the foolish virgins looking for oil for their lamps. When the economy collapses, when there are food and water shortages, when WWIII pits Christian America against Muslim countries, when the world is cast into despair; unprepared Christians will become desperate for help, just like the rest of the world.

Unprepared Christians will be ripe to accept the False Messiah who offers food, water and peace. And they will be susceptible to worship the image of the beast, and deny Jesus, in order to preserve their earthly life.

Jesus told us to be alert and prepared.

The world will be desperate for hope and the fields will be ripe. Will you be able to help with the harvest?
Will you have a supply of spiritual oil of faith and love for your lamps, so that you will shine as a light in the dark world?
Will you be prepared to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of your testimony, and not love your lives to the death?
Satan is the master deceiver, who manipulates Gods Words to deceive men.

LUKE CHAPTER 21

And He looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.
And He saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.
And He said,
"Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all:
For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God:
But she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had."
And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts,
He said,
"As for these things which ye behold, the days will come,
In the which there shall not be left one stone upon another,
That shall not be thrown down."

And they asked Him, saying, 'Master, but when shall these things be?
And what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?'

And He said,
"Take heed that ye be not deceived:
For many shall come in my name, saying, 'I am Christ;'
And the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified:
For these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by."
Then said He unto them:
"Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences;"

"And fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
But before all these
,
They shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you,
Delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons,
Being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.

And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
Settle it therefore in your hearts not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
For I will give you a mouth and wisdom,
Which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
And ye shall be betrayed both by parents,
And brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends;
And some of you shall they cause to be put to death.
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.

But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
In your patience possess ye your souls."

"And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies,
Then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains;
And let them which are in the midst of it depart out;
And let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
For these be the days of vengeance,
That all things which are written may be fulfilled
."

"But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days!
For there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
And they shall fall by the edge of the sword,
And shall be led away captive into all nations:
And Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles,
Until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled."

"And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars;
And upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity;
The sea and the waves roaring;
Men's hearts failing them for fear,
And for looking after those things which are coming on the earth:
For the powers of heaven shall be shaken."

"And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads;
For your redemption draweth nigh."

And He spake to them a parable;
"Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
When they now shoot forth,
Ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass,
Know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand
."

Verily I say unto you,
"This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time
Your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life,
And so that day come upon you unawares.
For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Watch ye therefore, and pray always,
That ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass,
And to stand before the Son of man."

And in the day time He was teaching in the temple;
And at night He went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives.
And all the people came early in the morning to Him in the temple, for to hear Him.
