The Holocaust, FEMA Camps and the New National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)

The Holocaust, FEMA Camps and the New National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)

January 24, 2012

PatriotUpdate.com - I met a Holocaust survivor this month, Margaret Grussgott of Czechoslovakia, “Bubby.” She is 91 years old, athletic, sharp, spunky and loving. She was gracious enough to let me interview her in her West Palm Beach home, surrounded by her family. On her arm lingers a tattoo from the Auschwitz concentration camp where she spent two years enduring the evil torture of a totalitarian system.

Is history repeating itself?

While we were on Christmas vacation, Obama signed into law the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) on Dec. 31, 2011.

This law brought concern from the right and the left because the broadness of the wording could allow innocent Americans to be indefinitely detained in military prisons without a trial. But… this law slipped into existence without much of a ripple.

The Blaze explains,
“The second provision (section 1032) (of NDAA) does not include an exemption for U.S. citizens, and would give the government “the legal authority to keep people suspected of terrorism in military custody, indefinitely and without trial.”

The NDAA appears to be intended for “Al Queda terrorists.” But… Tea Partiers have been called “terrorists” on numerous occasions by this administration, Biden, Kristof, Freidman, etc., (more on Newsbusters) so one can see the cause for concern.

Is this another Holocaust creeping up on us while we go about our days, working, taking care of our families, paying taxes, and obeying the law?

“What we are dealing with here is the potential for the scope of the bill to expand from those who can legitimately be called violent terrorists and enemy combatants, to those who are simply political opponents and eventually to those who fail to support those in power. If this scope can be expanded, history shows us that inevitably it will. American citizens are guaranteed rights under the Constitution, rights which are natural rights, rights endowed by our Creator, not rights bestowed by government. If government can remove your rights by decree, and worse, by secret decree, you have no rights, only privileges at whim.” – (Yoda, Senate Rejects Udall Amendment to ‘Indefinite Detention’ Bill, TreeofLiberty.com, November 30, 2011)

If you couple this new law, NDAA, with the new FEMA camps or “National Responder Support Camps”, (more on AmericanThinker)…and the SOPA and PIPA bills, it is obvious that a Marxist totalitarian regime is at our doorstep.

“Under the Post-Katrina Emergency Management Reform Act, FEMA is responsible for developing an efficient logistics system for procurement and delivery of goods and services necessary for an effective and timely response to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, and other man-made disasters.”

According to this Homeland Security web site, camps are being prepared to house from 300 to 2,000 people all allotted 8 feet of space per person.

“…The National Responder Support Camps contract will be used at the time a Federal disaster is declared, or any other time FEMA or an agency working through FEMA needs a RSC. FEMA shall be able to call upon vendor(s) to provide RSC services in the Continental United States (CONUS).”

Remember the “warning recorded for posterity by Martin Niemoeller, the Lutheran minister who lived in Hitler’s Germany during the 1930s and 1940s. His words echo down to us over succeeding decades:”

“In Germany they came first for the Communists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn’t speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and by that time no one was left to speak up.”

During my interview with Margaret “Bubby” Grussgott, she cut her leg getting out of the car. She quietly placed a tissue on the cut and held it there with two rubber bands. She’s a tough and frugal lady. As you can see by her testimony in the attached video, she survived Auschwitz, a concentration camp where her father was sent to a gas chamber, and where she and her mother spent two years, barefoot and bald in the snow, eating rats and grass, bathing in urine and sharing a single bed with five women. Her husband, also a Holocaust survivor had his eye smashed out by the butt of a Nazi’s gun. He felt lucky to know an S.S. who occasionally snuck him an apple peel. Bubby’s grand daughter noticed her leg injury and shouted, “Bubby! What happened?!” Then, she proceeded to clean and redress Bubby’s wound.

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” - Edmund Burke

If America votes in this totalitarian government and it’s dictator Obama in 2012, they deserve to be communists. I say “they” because that is not my America. My America will be dead.
